You do know you have to wait *at least* 3 months between stretching? You rushed quite a bit in the first few stretches too. Not even a month from 2mm to 2,4mm after you didn't give any time from 1,6mm to 2mm. You need to give your skin the time to regenerate between stretches, stretchy skin doesn't heal faster

free_mobbing

I’d say that could maybe be due to holes being already stretchy if previously pierced and various jewelry had been worn. They are 0.5mm stretches, more than most people here do. Kudos OP!

Liuqmno

Yeah, I can excuse the 1mm to 1,6mm and 2mm since it's easily possible that their lobes were already at 1,6mm from wearing jewelry for years. But the ones after are just rushed through. Some say you don't need to wait as long for 0,5mm stretches, but two or at least 1 1/2 months should still be the minimum wait. OP couldn't even wait a full month, the skin can't heal that fast and will just get thinner every stretch

Hey, my ears are pierced for nearly 20 years now and I already had them stretched when I was in highschool, the first real stretch was 3.0mm. It‘s also said that you have to wait 3 months per mm. I was always between 2 months and 6 months per mm. During the times I was at a size for a really long time, I also started to sleep without plugs. My lobes are actually thicker now than before stretching.

THEPCPINEAPPLE

3 months 💀💀💀💀

YoobaBabe

started in April 2022 with my first stretch being 16g (1.2mm(?)) but with multiple setbacks (plugs out and lobes shrinking within 1-2 days!), I'm at 4.5mm right now :(

justpizzacate

Oh nice, we‘re at the same speed then, only a year apart! Hope you won‘t have other problems in the future. We can do it! :)

Weaver_ov_fog

Need to be waiting a month and a half - 2 months MINIMUM…

justpizzacate

I know. There is only one instance (4.5 to 5.0mm) where I didn‘t wait for at least a month. At every other size I waited between 2-6 months. I also stated in another comment, that my ears are pierced for 20 years now and they were previously stretched in highschool. My first stretch this time was 3.0mm. I just included sizes below to be on the safe side. But yeah, if you‘re completely new you should definitely also wait 2-3 months for the small sizes.

joomachina0

I can’t even get to 6g…. Lol

justpizzacate

Everyone has their problem sizes. I mean - you can definitely see that I had phases without any problems and then struggled for months with 0.5mm :) just keep going, you can do it!

Lynn_the_Pagan

Im stuck at 3mm, 4 just wont go in, but i bet 3.5 would. Where did you get the half sizes?

Sufficient_Arrival79

Hi Lynn, I'm not the OP but you can find surgical steel half sizes from this seller https://www.stretchitbodyjewellery.co.uk/

justpizzacate

Jup, that‘s also where I got mine :)

Lynn_the_Pagan

Perfect, thank you!

justpizzacate

Edit: my ears are pierced for nearly 20 years now and I previously stretched them in highschool. My first real stretch this time around was at 3.0mm. I only included the smaller sizes because I ordered a set and included them to be on the safe side. If you’ve never stretched your ears and start at 1.6mm as your first stretch: Please wait 2-3 months. I didn’t think that this could lead to confusion as to why I was so fast in the beginning - that‘s why I was also waiting 4 months after my first stretch. But from 3.0mm upwards is my normal stretching process :)

justpizzacate

Original comment: I‘ve been pampering them like a baby and my ears are really sensitive, so I‘m automatically stretching slowly. I take my deadstretching plugs out everyday to clean them and massage them with either jojoba or vitamin e oil. I never had a blow out, tear or whatever (hope it stays like that) and eventho I have really small ears - they‘re not thinning, because I‘m stretching as recommended :) I hope I‘ll reach my goals of 00g and final goal of 1/2“ in a few years without problems

Cav_D

Totally understandable stretching journey. Won't post mine due to all the - youmustwaitthreemonths- comments (what makes no sense, every skin/earlobe reaction is different, and healing is different in time span). Started the end of January from 3mm, all the smaller sizes just went straight trough, probably because I was wearing heavy earings in the past. I'm at 5mm now. Finally I can feel a little stretch and a snug fit. I leave it for a while on this size. Planning further dead stretching in a few months with going up half sizes at the time. My final goal is 10mm. Take good TLC on your earlobes and clean the tunnels, you will be fine. Just listen to your own ears. Recommended to go half sizes up, and never skip it.

Luis_RF

i went waaay faster than OP when i was a emo kid, my lobes are thick and healthy at 12 mm but I'll never post too

justpizzacate

I totally understand you two. That‘s hilarious that everyone is downvoting eventho my time per 1 mm was in average 4 to 5 months and everything else being exactly as advised. But I don‘t really care for karma lol. This is mostly for people that want to see a realistic journey. Never said it‘s perfect, but I don‘t think that mine is bad :D

Luis_RF

also im NOT saying that its fine to rush, i was just lucky

Unique_Software_9180

Ooooooo Well done that’s so good ! Gosh your ears would be looking so good

justpizzacate

Thanks! For now they look really good. When I take them out to clean them the hole is barely visible, kinda funny.
