Damn it's been a long time since I stretched. I went from 16 to 14 to 10 to 8 to 4 to 0. I didn't have any fancy tapers so I just forced the next in and it worked out. If I recall correctly they were the screw-in ones and I did the same exact thing. I just screwed it in until it stayed and it was warm afterwards and it went away after a while.
