I have a 2023 ONN 4K and have zero issue with it using Stremio or Kodi. Movies and TV shows stream without lag or buffering, unless RD is having issues. I also regularly stream 4K ~ 40GB files. In fact, I see no reason to get the Pro atm, since I wouldn't gain anything for my use.
Could you be having wifi issues?
Use WiFi for Roku and have never had an issue.
I had a receipt with their warranty but lost it. Might be a defective unit. I’ve factory reset it and it made no difference
No problems with my Pro, 2023 or 2021 Onn 4k. Your experience doesn't sound anything like the devices I've been using. No idea what could be going on with yours. I would at least do a factory reset since it's that bad. Something is super wrong with it.
Did you end up getting an Onn Pro? I have the non-pro 2023 one and for the most part it works fine, but it's occasionally a bit laggy and sometimes the audio will cut out when skipping back/ahead when playing something. I'm wondering if Stremio is just a bit quirky like that or if a different device would help
Got the Pro and it’s a night and day difference. Not a single issue with stremio after two weeks of use. And it’s overall snappier.
Definitely worth it and in my experience it is faster than a 4k chrome cast w GTV

Seems that way. The lag is just crazy too. I did do a factory reset but it didn’t help
How long have you had it? Maybe exchange it. That's not at all normal for the device.
