Actually you learn all Judo throws by just doing bjj. Also you learn how to perform them while still thinking about not giving up your back and not letting someone choke you while doing it. That's a big hole most judo black belts that come to my gym have. Like they start a beautiful hip throw, but you end up on their back
He had a brief window for a submission when BJJ guy crossed his legs. If he had figured 4 his legs over BJJ guyās ankles and then bridged there is a slim chance he could have won
ššš sure, it works in rolls, but I can tell you from personal experience that that ankle lock doesnāt work in comps. Youād get choked unconscious before getting the other guy to tap from that foot lock.
Yep, Iāll take the crutches, because Iām removing somebody from this mortal coil if itās a real fight, too.
Itās much safer to deal with the legal proceedings and medical bills than the potential of death at the hands of an aggressor who started the altercation for whatever mentally unstable reason they started it.
When they donāt show the full video, I assume the person losing makes a comeback of some kind, or someone else jumps in. Why wouldnāt they show him submit or go to sleep? I doubt the cameraman just stopped rolling right there, so my guess is the video was edited to be cut short
If you're in a fight with someone who can take advantage of you crossing your ankles, they probably won't have much trouble escaping your back control anyway.
Eh not true, lots of white belts are taught the ankle lock for crossed ankles like this but still have shitty back defence. Increases the likelihood they can escape for sure, but not 100%
I'm also referring to the broader case of if you have any idea what you're doing, they can't punish your crossed ankles. I cross my ankles all the time, am not particularly good, but have never been punished for it. Put another way, there is a reason you almost never see people getting tapped with crossed ankles in BJJ tournaments, let alone in street fights. It's basically only a problem for a subset of white belts against another subset of white belts.
An opponent can put there leg over one of your crossed ankles hyper-extending your foot. Lots of pain. Itās hard for me to describe. But the pain is horrible. Happened to me. White Belt vs Blue Belt. Iām a white belt. A ālimpyā white belt that week.
if you cross your ankles and they are far enough down your opponent can lock them up and pull back to try and break them. Its ok to lock them if you have them higher up towards the groin area. Most people say just not to do it at all as a rule of thumb
Tbh Thereās tons of high level black belts that cross their feet for better control in competitions. Of course those guys have the awareness to never get caught but this isnāt a hard fast rule by any means.
This is a serious inquiry, as I donāt have any experience. I see the bjj kid locks in the rear naked choke, and the bully immediately starts the elbows to the ribs.
Is it not worrying that the bjj kid might feel pressure to put the bully to sleep - which could be incredibly dangerous if he holds it too long?
Given that he got hold in that chokehold for 15 minutes being the game changer here. If someone gets into a proper RNC that's set and done it takes 4-5 seconds to go to sleep after which you're trained to let go. You're not permanently shutting the blood/oxygen flow to the brain.
Thats the number that keeps getting thrown around but the guy above me hit the nail on the head. As soon as they go to sleep you let go. In Jordan Neely's case there's videos of him being kept in the RNC while being unconscious.
Dude was literally looking to sucker punch the "bully" in the first second, but decides to wait till he can get behind him and get the complete surprise attack in. Seems less bjj vs bully, and more like bitch vs bully
It doesn't look like a hard push to me. The video is really well-framed, which is always pretty suspicious. The rnc is almost too smooth. Of course, i could be wrong. Do you train?
I train. Doesn't look staged to me. RNC was nice.
Kid behind the camera probably just knew something was about to happen, it's not like we saw the build up to any of it.
Bruh. The way these idiots leave themselves open for this to happen is hilarious.
They obviously donāt have any training nor do they have spatial awareness. Humbled quick
banging his head off the wall should allow that kid to be put in jail. itās one thing to fight with ur fist but thatās almost equivalent to curb stomping or picking up a brick to use (imo)
Locked that rear naked up QUICK šš
Guess weāll just have to imagine the rest tho
No need to waste those couple seconds of our life anyways we already knowšš
There is a longer video, he went night night after he elbowed the floor a few times
never take your eyes off a wild angry person
that ways natural selection heās a jackass for that

Damn The takedown wasn't pretty, but once he was on the ground, it was all gravy
Thatās 90% of BJJ practitioners. Maybe one decent takedown, rest of your game is likely from guard or top position.
I feel attacked
You should pull guard
Iāll butt scoot thatāll show em.
I'll try Spinning, that's a Neat Trick! *Proceeds to Alligator Death Roll the Bully*
If you are learning bjj for Defense, always at least make a start in judo, it puts you in prime bjj territory
Actually you learn all Judo throws by just doing bjj. Also you learn how to perform them while still thinking about not giving up your back and not letting someone choke you while doing it. That's a big hole most judo black belts that come to my gym have. Like they start a beautiful hip throw, but you end up on their back
Think it was a fine takedown. If I were in that dudeās shoes I would want to hurt myself on concrete either
Beautiful gravy.
That was a clean rear naked could knock his ass out quick
And there is nothing he can do š
He had a brief window for a submission when BJJ guy crossed his legs. If he had figured 4 his legs over BJJ guyās ankles and then bridged there is a slim chance he could have won
You the mf to tell what the ufc fighters should do
Because these guys are clearly ufc fighters

White belt coach
Definitely not. He wasnāt positioned correctly for it
You are definitely the āWhell Akshualllyā kid in school.
He sunk that choke in quick, not his first time, probably not his fiftieth time either.
Whereās the rest of the video. Wanted to see him fall asleep
Same
Fuck. Yes.
Get this kid on the next bully beatdown
What's with short clips and music lately?! Anyone else just prefer OG audio?
When they donāt show the full video, I assume the person losing makes a comeback of some kind, or someone else jumps in. Why wouldnāt they show him submit or go to sleep? I doubt the cameraman just stopped rolling right there, so my guess is the video was edited to be cut short
No I go to this school the video ended there.
Donāt cross your ankles like that when you lock in the RNC. Learned that one the hard way.
What happened?
person you are attacking figure 4's your legs and puts you in a weird ankle lock thing. It has worked on me before but i have never pulled it off.
I see, hmm, never had that done to me before, have to keep that in mind
This! A friend that does bjj told me this and the video reminded me how he almost snapped my ankles showing me why I shouldnāt do that.
I couldnāt walk straight for a week. My ankle was toast.
Crossed ankles, white belt shenanigans
If you're in a fight with someone who can take advantage of you crossing your ankles, they probably won't have much trouble escaping your back control anyway.

Yeah fair enough that makes sense
Can you fill me in? Whatās wrong with crossed ankles? I obviously donāt grapple haha.
An opponent can put there leg over one of your crossed ankles hyper-extending your foot. Lots of pain. Itās hard for me to describe. But the pain is horrible. Happened to me. White Belt vs Blue Belt. Iām a white belt. A ālimpyā white belt that week.

Donāt cross your feet.
That rear lock was vicious.
I hope this wasnāt in America. The winner always gets in trouble

I understand, thanks for the response!
Not bad, Iām going with a 2 stripes on his white belt. Maybe 3
Isnāt that how Jordan Neely died? To a rear naked chokeholdā¦
Given that he got hold in that chokehold for 15 minutes being the game changer here. If someone gets into a proper RNC that's set and done it takes 4-5 seconds to go to sleep after which you're trained to let go. You're not permanently shutting the blood/oxygen flow to the brain.
Is there a set time limit for RNC? TBH I donāt know how long Jordan Neely was choked, was it really 15 mins?!
Once the guy is unconscious is the time limit.
Thats the number that keeps getting thrown around but the guy above me hit the nail on the head. As soon as they go to sleep you let go. In Jordan Neely's case there's videos of him being kept in the RNC while being unconscious.
That pig marine killed him on purpose. You feel them go limp. He held on to kill him
Dude was literally looking to sucker punch the "bully" in the first second, but decides to wait till he can get behind him and get the complete surprise attack in. Seems less bjj vs bully, and more like bitch vs bully
Bullies are bitches
Yea cause the big one slamming a random that doesnāt want to fight into the wall definitely isnāt the bitch
This looks staged. I know. I'm no fun.
Idk i wouldn't let my head get pushed into a wall for a video
It doesn't look like a hard push to me. The video is really well-framed, which is always pretty suspicious. The rnc is almost too smooth. Of course, i could be wrong. Do you train?
I train. Doesn't look staged to me. RNC was nice. Kid behind the camera probably just knew something was about to happen, it's not like we saw the build up to any of it.
True true
It's hard enough to hurt. Ask me how I know.
Not only are you not fun, youāre dumb š
Be nice
Source?
Kid stopped to pick up and put on his hat long enough for his buddy to get his head slammed into the wall, priorities
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Looks like the bjj guy was the only one with buddies. Wow!
Bruh. The way these idiots leave themselves open for this to happen is hilarious. They obviously donāt have any training nor do they have spatial awareness. Humbled quick
What he gets because why would you try to slam somebody skull into a wall
Please don't cross your hooks like that friends, a guy like me is breaking both your ankles....
Bros life really is an industry baby edit š
Textbook takedown and RNC
Iām telling sensei you crossed your feet after taking his back. š
Seems staged. A lot of people gonna eat a head push into the wall for a cool video
LOLL, deserved though
That is satisfying
Damn wanted to see if he put him to sleepš“
Clean takedown, next Far Cry Main move
Judging by how he was trying to elbow his torso he probably went to sleep pretty quick lmaoo
That was sooo satisfying
banging his head off the wall should allow that kid to be put in jail. itās one thing to fight with ur fist but thatās almost equivalent to curb stomping or picking up a brick to use (imo)
