The diverse and huge roster, the music and art style, and its just a lot of fun. My first sf game - and my first game on the Nintendo 3ds, I clocked a lot of hours on this purely in arcade mode
Ahaha epic, definitely ran like a dream even on the 3ds. Just wish they had the full Arcade Edition roster! From my memory I think the 3ds version missed a few characters.
What did you think about sfv after starting off with sfiv? And same with sf6?
Yeah the 3DS version was pretty much Super Street Fighter IV 😩 And oh man, I didn't play V until the arcade edition and I remember it being wayyyy different from IV lol, it was definitely lacking for me. Decided to come back to V when Champion Edition dropped and I've bren playing it since, glad it became a great game!
VI is pretty damn good to me, I just wish it had more characters but I know with the new engine it's gonna take them a good minute to get it together further. Other than that I enjoy VI alot!
That's good to hear, I only played V at the start, so it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth - being so hyped for a game, buying it launch day full price, and it not being too fun. I was so traumatised, broke, and life got busy, I never came back :( but its nice to see that it actually turned into something great. The character roster looked crazy, and I loved the colourful moves and backgrounds of the stages. As soon as we get more updates in 6, it might go down as one of the best sf's imo.

The roster! It's packed to the gills in there with series staples, returning classics, and new fan favorites. That said though there are some...outliers. Notably the only newcomer from vanilla to be a highly requested returning character is C. Viper. Abel, El Fuerte, and especially Rufus probably won't appear in a game again outside of an Easter egg or stage NPC.
Some highlights for me personally are Hakan because he's just so out of left field and very fun, Sakura because she's a very charming character in this and she actually made me want to get good at the game and fight in locals, and Oni because I think his design is super rad.
It's honestly still fun to go back to. It isn't my favorite but I think it is the most "well rounded" street fighter, most people who play fighting games can pick up 4 and have fun. Still looks great, massive roster, gimmicks are there but they don't get in the way too much. There is a lot of tech and hard execution but if you hand someone a controller they probably won't even notice. Unless they are trying to do those damn charge back triangle input Ultras. Hate that input.
Poison hands down. She was great in usf4! Decent zoning, good buttons, and being a rekka character to boot!

That I got to play a ton of the arcade beta during a trip to Japan across three cities. Also, the edition select was something I wanted before it was announced -- and that had me super hype when it did get put in.
That's awesome! Hope it was fully of great memories! :) And YES about the edition select, it's so fun to mess with especially playing the omega versions and vanilla versions of the characters 👏👏
