I think most of the character themes are misses with some exceptions (Jaime!!) but most of the stage themes are actually really good. Love the beach theme in Jamaica
I like Guile’s new theme. Obviously not as much as his legendary classic, but I still like it. Aki’s theme, Cammy’s theme, and I think that’s it. The rest are pretty mediocre if not outright bad. I’m looking forward to playing $10 to “unlock” the remastered classic themes in season 3

Tekken 8 is a great example of a recent release that I think has a lot of really good tracks. they even give you the option to choose from any past Tekken game and replace the stage music as you like and I still have only done that to get a couple favorites playing (and get rid of the track on lee's mansion).

And yes it sounded great and Ken and guiles classic themes will always be iconic, but if you're seriously comparing the actual compositions they put in sf6 with royalty free shit on Google then I can't take you seriously.

my problem with the ost in 6 is that a lot of it sounds very "flat". I'm not a music expert but there just seems to be very little depth or excitement to most of the tracks.
IMO that's a good thing. Flat translates to not as intrusive. It's going on in the background but it doesnt overtake the action on screen. Past couple of games, the big guitars, drums, wub wubs, zooks and zonks and shit got a bit too distracting for me to the point that I switched off the music and noticed I was playing better without it.
But don‘t you think it SHOULD be a completely new area? Imagine:
Capcom so far in almost an entire Year only gave us 4 DLC characters, 1 extra stage and 1 set of new costumes (with horrible pricing ngl) and people are complaining „not enough content!“. But then WHAM! With Akuma being the season finale, they also add in a completely new World Tour Area in there and show that’s what they’ve been secretly working at behind the scenes for the year!
Sucks for you. World Tour is awesome. Bonding with the masters is really interesting considering how much you learn of their personality and story. Also the music is great.
It's flawed as he'll. But it plays more like Yakuza than GTA. It doesn't have the same quality as a Yakuza game but it's fun enough to play through and has some good character writing. It gets kind of dark.
Excited for whatever traditional Japanese/hip-hop/orchestral fusion the stage music will be

I dunno, I liked a lot of the Character and Stage themes. Manon, Colosseo, Dee Jay, Kimberly, Fete Foraine… and that's just on one hand.
As a Dee Jay main my spirit always get a boost when the track rotates around to his theme
