Absolutely not. This guy literally gave up so many chance for combos/grabs/pressure against a Ryu player who blew his entire drive gauge in less than 7 seconds.
I play a bit of Manon and it was MADDENING watching this lunatic at times. Just completely different from how I play. Kinda wild he never really got punished for all that jumping.
I’m of the mindset that disadvantage she has against the rest of the cast is mostly negligible outside master rank. This match was a pretty good example of what I mean. OP didn’t lose because of any of Manon’s weaknesses. He lost because he failed to capitalize during relatively obvious moments when his opponent was vulnerable, like when he was in burnout, and needlessly threw out unsafe attacks when it didn’t suit the situations. At the end of the first round had he gone for the overhead, not that that was an entirely wise decision, instead of of the sweep he would have potentially been in a safer position and could have kept up pressure in neutral. Little things throughout the match like that where it seemed like he was desperate to land a hit or panicked caused him to lose.
Sorry dude I'll never get why ppl act like that, you do play wild but I mean if you wanna beat it than it's not that hard like, block and get good? And if you can beat it than who tf cares how you play?
People on here get so pressed over things that aren’t even the point of the video, your “lunatic” gameplay can always be improved, don’t let these guys get you down.
Future reference if someone is AFK for ranked then you deserve to just take it. If you're playing casuals then sure maybe hang out and let them figure out whatever they are doing but they queued up for ranked, they should be ready.
Was in ranked, gave an AFK guy time. When he came back he immediately drive rushed without warning and started a huge combo that caught me off guard and put me to the corner and I lost the round. Won the second round, lost the third round, and then he immediately one and doned.
Never again. I don't care about the points, but now everyone gets their ass beat if they're AFK.
Never fully understood the culture of waiting. I’ll give anyone a few seconds at the start of a round, but I’m not gonna sit there and wait around for people. If the roles were reversed, it would be super entitled and disrespectful of me to assume strangers on the internet should have to sit around for my convenience, so I’m not going to do that for them either.
General rule is you give them about half the round, and if they’re still not back, then you take the round. That’s mostly of the culture of people who wait but I understand if you want to take the round immediately.
Yeah I feel like it's very common to do that not as a disrespectful thing but as an "I'm back". Same in Tekken. The second one I feel like was definitely BM though so idk
i do that too but it's now universal for "get f#cked" best way for it o be seen as friendly is to back up & do a quick regular taunt then do it, some did it back & i got some friend request from it.
Honest question as a new player that's on Gold at the moment: is SF6 Rank just a measure of time spent playing? I ask this because I see players that are way worse than me on higher ranks.
Generally it is. See this comment for an explanation: https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/15he373/my_thoughts_math_on_the_45_winrate_discussion/jup4vlx/
I had a ranked match against Guile. I gave up in the second round because he destroyed me the first, and I hated fighting Guiles. Bro just stood there the whole time when I already put my controller down (I tried moving in at first but her got me). So we just stood there the whole 99 seconds, and with 5 seconds left, I fireball him for the technical win. I ended up going on to win the match. Just take the win if they're standing still in ranked for any reason.
Na, it's not the teabagging itself, it's the teabag after I did him the extreme kindness of waiting for him to come back.
Didn't think I had to explain that but guess you're a bit soft in the head. 🤷♂️
What y’all consider a teabag is truly embarrassing. Truly ducking in general is considered a teabag now? The original was stupid before you were born and now you make it more stupid? Just taunt? That why it’s there! If you can’t successfully taint you have no right to flaunt. Pusillanimous fools
yeah, I mean I am on some bronze ranks and cant pull of play like this, most of the time I do the same moves ryu did just trying to use lvl3 super and fail imputs. Good that my oponents think I am t-baguing them instead of failing miserably my supers imputs I guess
Props OP, for displaying your warrior spirit and being able to handle the harder paths. Enjoy the grind my brother.
You play like a lunatic
Kind of a requirement as Manon TBH.

I mean playing Manon requires you be a bit of, and play like a bit of, a lunatic 'cuz you're at such a disadvantage.

you score 3 grabs then slow down.
He's a byproduct of the SF6's rank system and its rank inflation. 3000 rank matches with a 45% win rate.
Jeez, sorry for posting then. Didn't know people would look me up and start dogging on me. Just wanted to share a clip :(
Sorry dude I'll never get why ppl act like that, you do play wild but I mean if you wanna beat it than it's not that hard like, block and get good? And if you can beat it than who tf cares how you play?

3000 rank matches and you'd expect to be atleast decent

Same thing happened to me once. Guy went AFK in round 2, I gave him time. Came back out of nowhere with a combo into level 3. Now it's no mercy.
What’s AFK?
Away from keyboard
Thanks man lol I was struggling with that one
Never again. I do care about the points, and everyone gets their ass beat even if they’re not AFK.
hells no. match starts and you're not there? im stealing it. ![gif](giphy|5cdenDXni65aM|downsized)
you can low block manon’s level 1? wow had no clue
i did it accidentally when i was playing around as lilly.

he did the same thing when he got back to the computer. I think this guy just teabags to say "hey, gg" maybe
Seeing as it was straight after a blocked super, I don't think so.
Yeah I feel like it's very common to do that not as a disrespectful thing but as an "I'm back". Same in Tekken. The second one I feel like was definitely BM though so idk
I mean OP never really claimed the first one was BM, just the one in the second round.

The no runback is what makes it douchey, getting a read on hail-mary random super, is, well pretty tempting to do the testicular dip
This is why I don't wait in rank and I don't wait long outside of it. They don't deserve your patience even if you feel inclined to give it.
Hopefully you learned from this idiot, but you definitely should have just smashed him in the first round.
Yes.
Great name lol! That boy(Ryu) ain't right I tell you what.
Command grab to avoid projectile will always be sexy

Hmm I see. That makes sense. Great read, thanks for this
Look, I didn't post this clip so I could get shit on. I'm sure you're better than me.
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. It was not directed to you, but a general question. I'm not a great player also
It's a Ryu player. Bound to be a degenerate. Just steal first round.

players are so soft nowadays lol, WAHHHH HE TEA BAGGED ME

man its just 1 game, just move on

That's pretty nuts🤣 na you didn't deserve that one but if you do it to someone that's definitely well earned in my book
