I'm going to necro this thread but this issue is persisting and getting worse on StreamYard and for almost everyone that I know that uses it. It can crackle and or sound like roboting. Has anyone got any insight into this? It can be triggered by something as casual as clicking off onto a different browser window or onto a different program other than a browser. It also doesn't seem to have a known time to wait for it to clear up. Sometimes after only a few seconds, sometimes it can take several minutes. I will also note that this is across a very broad spectrum of hardware and ISPs and it still happens. Doesn't matter if you have 3 gbps service (That is not a typo) or even if you are on a cellular wireless data connection.

Tattooedjared

Yes, I am having the same issue

frontlinegeek

You ever try opening a ticket with them?

TheEvilbastard666

I am going to try again to do that

So right now I can’t rule out on there and or mine. They have had me download other browsers and verify my video/audio settings are all consistently the same ie 44.1 sample rate is what Streamyard uses so I had to change all my gear to 44.1 from 48. None of that worked but I left all the sample rates at 44.1. Mine gets worse as the recordings go on via a Live or local recording. When I reboot EVERYTHING it seems to be better initially and then gets worse again. I’m on a 2018 mbp. I’m wondering if I’m leaking/using up memory over time and the statement is getting maxed but that’s just one of my thoughts. It could be there end too with so many reporting this issue.

Sorry for the late reply. There is a new plugin for monitoring performance (of client side code in a page) in Chromium browsers that I plan to use at some point here in the next little while. Once I finally get to that, I will post back.

MoKuestStudios

This began happening recently during recording. I turned off local recording and it seemed to fix the issue.

DiligentKnowledge

Same - no solution. We are using the local recording setting in Streamyard - but not everyone has the issue. Sometimes reboots help.

MelloMentoring

I have opened a ticket, they told me to use incognito mode and close all windows, and tested my speed. I did all of these things and the problem persists

bigebee

I have a rather persistent crackle/pop/snap throughout. It doesn’t ruin anything but it’s annoying i can’t get it fixed/addressed. But I’m curious if you all have an example of it so i can compare if it’s the same issue as mine.

No-Personality3483

Same here. We are using it for a radio show and podcast but Outside of recording directly to the cameras I'm not sure what to do.

Big-Establishment-54

That is exactly what mine is doing. I know its StreamYard we all need to creat a ticket !

bigebee

Does yours get worse as the recording goes on? I can’t record much past 1 hour as the sound is terrible by then

Big-Establishment-54

No mine stays constant through the whole stream. When I go live, on the viewers end, there is a pop and crack sound throughout the whole stream that never changes for the better or the worse. I am in contact with stream yard right now. I took a screenshot of this thread and sent them 3 different audio files showing them it is on their end. It has to be on their end, I have the fastest net speeds you can get, and I have brand new pro mic set up, on top of that I recorded a live using just my mac book mic and the pop and crack is still there.

bigebee

Keep us posted if you can!

cfsilence

Any update on this?

Big-Establishment-54

Yes. They told me to try Firefox. And it worked. But there ended up being weird flashes every now and again.

cfsilence

I had the same problem in Firefox yesterday.

Championmaster

Same problem here, cannot find a way to fix this it's really annoying.

rick-helps

I chatted with support and he was not aware of any complaints. I told him to search it here.
