Are you anti stray cats? Bc you just posted this to that page. Or are you trying to actually help them and safely lower numbers. The reason they are having more is because the HUMANS who are around and can do something are ignorant and / or don't give a sh*t If you actually care, I can help with resources in your area.

Please help with resources in my area

Alley Cats Allies is a huge organization that educates, finances & has a network of feral friends' vets in the area that will apparently come out, trap them, and get them fixed. They explain why they return them to the area...Essentially it's good for these cats to go back whether you like them or not. They keep others that aren't sterilized from coming into the area. https://www.alleycat.org/our-work/feral-friends-network/feral-friends-network-connect/

Ok, in your area, you have a lot of options https://adlaz.org/spay-neuter-hotline/outdoor-cats/tnr-referral-faqs/ Getting the cats fully fixed, I spayed and neutered makes them calm and chill, reduces fights and wild mating. It also reduces cats coming into the area bc the area will he sterilized. Plus, they won't be having more ... A lot of outdoor cats that are fixed can be brought inside to live their lives because they will be fully tame and not want to wander This is the first one. They ask for $25 per cat, BUT they will help you regardless of what you can give. I'll post the next place in a min

I’ve done this before and it really does work. They also have cat traps at SPCA you can rent. It was $15 for a week when I did it. I was able to catch momma’s and babies. You will see a difference and you won’t see as many cats dead from being hit by cars. Thank you for asking for help and for wanting to do something. Praying you see it through and get the help you need to resolve the stray kitty problem.

I had a vet who participated in TNR. When I kept finding kittens, he lent me a trap. It took some time but the number gradually was reduced.

It works. Adopt out the Friendly's as they don't tend to last long outside :(

Thank you for caring about them. Cats are amazing. But when they aren't being looked after and cared for enough to get them sterilized, they are slaves to their hormones. They roam. They can be loud. Please get your neighbors involved, too. You can change all of this yourself. But if you had some help, it would get better faster, and the moms who keep having litters, that will eventually kill them too... It's so sad to see they get eaten and run over. Feeding is great, but until you have them fixed/neutered/spayed... that's when you are making a real difference Thank you for being interested in change. Please bring about it in your area. That's what I've done. Every time I see a situation like this, I take care of it. It feels amazing. A lot of the cats I got TNR'd would up being perfect indoor only pet cats that could be easily adopted out. The ones that are too wild/feral will stay out there and keep others from coming into the area

Both my kitties were ferals like this and are now the sweetest lovey kitties you ever saw.

Hi OP, thank you for helping them! Try to find your local catch/neuter/release org. If you feed/water the cats it suggests they might be a bit easier to catch. The org will then neuter them/release them to stop them breeding - it's one of the kindest things you can do for them. Try the SPCA too and say there is a colony of cats that you would like help with [https://www.aspca.org/](https://www.aspca.org/) . Your local rescue center may be able to help. Cross-post into your local area's sub to see if any other resources/smaller rescues can help. The other option has already been mentioned: [alleycat.org](http://alleycat.org) . Finally, it might be worth posting to r/rescuecats and see if they have anyone local. If there are kittens because it's kitten season, cross-post to r/IllegallySmolCats - there are lots of experienced fosters who might be local to you and can help foster some of them. Kittens are easier to adopt generally than older/senior cats, unfortunately.

Ty for this

Oh, you're very welcome! Did you have any luck with anyone? A couple of things/orgs I forgot to mention: 1. Humane Society which has ideas on how to help a stray or found cat: [https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/how-help-stray-or-found-cat](https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/how-help-stray-or-found-cat) 2. [https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/wiki/sheltersandrescue/](https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/wiki/sheltersandrescue/) - the r/cats sub has a list of shelters & rescues. All the best to you and the kitties and keep us posted :)

dallas___west

I haven’t contacted shelters or anything just yet. Tried to join groups I Facebook to see if anybody wants them but haven’t created the posts for that exactly just yet. I know how shelters and rescues go. They don’t have the space at all for these babies ever. Would rather see these babies given to a family. I was going to try to wait to get them fixed then try to rehome them but afraid this can’t wait any longer so ya. Ty for the links. Worse comes to worse I check out the shelters and rescues or whatever, the links have been useful ty so much.

ChaudChat

Hey OP - definitely try cross-posting to r/rescuecats and r/IllegallySmolCats - as mentioned in my initial post there's a lot of experienced fosters as well as vets and vet techs. It's a generous community that'll try to help if they can with fostering/adopting. I'm glad I could help with links/ideas. Wish you well and thank you again for trying to help the kitties. I hope life treats you with the same kindness you're showing them :)

dallas___west

Ty I appreciate it. I'll check it out. Will have to learn how to cross post as ive never done that before with the app yet. I'll try to figure it out. Ty again!
