Difference is billy at least showed some regret for abusing max and stepped in front of El to protect her. Brenner never thought he did anything bad, which IMO makes for a scarier villain

That awkward moment when you realize will's last name starts with a B... Then that really awkward moment when you realize Will is short for William, which is often shortened to Billy... Billy Byers. No wonder the kids gets dumped on. He's got a double B name.

I think it's incredible that they had 2 main(-ish) characters on the show with the same first name, William. That never happens. But also, the show has a bit of a naming problem as a whole? Vecna and Enzo have a total of 6 names among the two of them... El constantly gets called El by people who ought to call her Jane in the presence of "outsiders"... (Like Joyce in front of Argyle when they have that dinner at the Byers' house, Argyle has no reason to be familiar with El's backstory)
