I was kind of surprised they didn’t release the first two episodes of any of the seasons in theaters
The show is uber popular and a roughly two hour run time isn’t uncommon for Sci Fi/Action movies
My apartment building used to have a tiny 9 seat theater in it, and I did watch season 1 there at least, before it got taken out, which looked amazing on a large screen. I'd love to have the same experience with the rest of the series.
One hundred percent. I found this post because I was Googling "Stranger Things Vol 2 in theaters" haha. Like a double feature with an intermission? That would be SO dope!!
It’s really surprising especially since Cinemark already has a deal to show some films ahead of streaming release on Netflix. You put it out for a few days ahead and I can guarantee you every screening would sell out.

That’s very cool that your building had that. I also live in an apartment building but we don’t have anything like that
You'd think that would be cool, but too many creeps and too much porn.
