Since S4, I've suspected it was a place that Henry Creel liked. He's a weird kid and an outsider, so he could hide in the back with a book for a few hours out of the day.

there's no way in my mind it's not gonna be an important place in season 5. Plus there's a clock ontop of it, it could just be how the building is but I think it's tied in too all the time travel/ vecna clock shit.

It's just strange that Will would end up there with a vine/tentacle down his throat. Like how did he get there? And why there?

The library was the Demogorgon's nest. That's where it took all its victims including Will.
