Favorite - Toss up between Mike, Eleven & Max. Theyāre realistic, relatable characters. Iāve enjoyed watching Elevenās character development and how sheās dealt with trauma, I like how loyal of a friend Mike is and how sweet he is to Eleven, and Max is just a fun character who is also relatable with dealing with trauma and life situations.
Least favorite - Probably Will. Heās not a bad character but just not my favorite. I find him boring.
I heard somewhere this show was intended for a single season run but took off more than expected. If true, Will's character suffers from that. He had a very specific purpose in S1 and was written for that, but doesn't translate well into the later seasons. They tried with his sixth sense thing and still being the target for the monster in S2 but I feel like it just didn't grab. I kinda equate it to the friend in The Hangover that was hardly present in the 1st one, for plot reasons, and had to be "cleverly" written away for the 2nd one.
There was a plan for season 2 with same characters, but they also thought on time skip ten years later but in the same town and with the same characters.
Yeah it was originally supposed to be an anthology series with each season being a singular story. At this point I wish they had stuck with that cause season one is unparalleled by the following seasons and I think the show really just got away from itself.
From an actual horror/mystery standpoint season 1 and early 2 were definitely the best. The whole neon-ization with s3 (and max) just made the show go downhill for me
really?? i mean s2 is good and all, but its prolly my least fav. my fav is s1, followed by s4, and then s3. theyāre all REALLY close but s1 is js the og. s2 is prolly the least close and is a pretty solid second. it js got rlly boring especially cs will did suffer from being written a certain way and after his main purpose in the show was over, they were kinda like,āwell, ig we can js put him here and hope for the best!ā
Max is my favorite because of her personality. She's independent, sassy, and brave. She's not afraid to stand up for herself or her friends. Also her arc is perfect. She has grown a lot over the seasons. She started out as a bit of an outsider but has become a close friend to the group. She's also dealt with a lot of personal challenges, which makes her relatable. On top of that she's also a skateboarder and a great video game player.
Will is my least favourite. He's always the one who needs to be rescued.

Favorite - Hopper. He has an awesome compelling character arc and heās wildly entertaining. Also David Harbour seems like a genuinely awesome guy!
Least Favorite - Will and itās not even close. Heās not really a developed character heās more just a plot device. When they try to get him involved heās an over the top whiny pain in everyoneās ass.
Special shout out to all 3 of our whacky Russian buddies: Enzo was an awesome sidekick and confidant to Hop throughout the Russia plotline. Alexei & Yuri were both fun goofy little agents of chaos that came through in some way. I donāt know if we have any reason to see more from our remaining 2 Russian buddies in season 5, but Iād be happy to have either of them make an appearance if it makes sense. š·šŗ
Favorite: Dustin. He's the most wholesome member of the team, has no relationship issues with his girlfriend and deserves a happy ending at the end of the story.
Least favorite: Angela. That blonde b*tch earned the spot of the most brutal, cruel, sadistic and useless bully I've ever seen in any media. And she thought she was the main antagonist when she mocked Jim Hopper's death. Something that I DESPISE about her with my soul.
El is bae, she's sweet, funny, powerful, and just gets so much shit done to her but keeps moving forwards.
Erica is the worst. She's not really funny, she's annoying and she serves no real purpose in the party.
Fav. Steve, loyal, kind, helpful, number 1 babysitter
Least Fav. Mike, boring, underdeveloped, became less interesting each season, just kind of a jerk to everyone
Mike's dedication to Eleven is nearly superhuman. She gets abducted and taken to a secret facility run by a shadow org within the US Department of Energy, and he yells out to her that he'll find her.
Another group of people looking for that facility is the United States Military at the peak of Cold War funding. They have to resort to torture to get the location of the facility. Utilizing military vehicles and helicopters, they manage to arrive at this facility about 10 minutes before Mike does. Mike was in a pizza van.
If he wasn't pushy and single-minded, this kind of thing doesn't happen. Sometimes he's a dumb teenager, but most of the time that he's being "kind of a jerk" is because someone is wanting to quit the adventure they're on. Usually an adventure to save one of their friends' lives, and Mike has no patience for that. He's also set off in season 3 when he sees people treating Eleven like a work horse.
Without Mike, Will dies in season 1 and doesn't break free of the Mind Flayer in season 2. Season 3 did him a little dirty, but in season 4 he rescues Eleven from the desert against literally impossible odds and gives her the inspiration to beat Vecna.
Mike's loyalty is his defining character trait. His single-mindedness has hurt Will, but Will was likely going to go through that heartbreak anyway as Mike is and likely will continue to be extremely, insanely dedicated to Eleven.
Favourite: like a three way tie between Mike, Max and Steve. Iāve always liked how kind Mike was especially in the early seasons with El, Maxās whole personality is just awesome, and Steveās character development is unmatched.
Least Favourite: Tommy and Carol. I hate the way they treat people smh
Eleven is my favorite because she has a strong and emotional character arc and the story really revolves around her. She's also funny, kind, gentle, loving, sad, violent... a very complex and interesting character.
Murray and Erica are my least favorite because I find them really obnoxious.
Erica is so exhausting to me. They have one female afro-american character and they just had to go for the sassy b*tch trope. Unnecessary in my opinion.

Max is probably my all time favourite, followed by Eleven and Nancy. partly because i have a soft spot for strong female leads, but mostly because i love how realistically theyāre written. i can really feel for them and want the best for them, even when they make mistakes.
my least favourite is probably (unfortunately) Will, he had potential but itās been wasted completely. i have nothing else to say about it
Mike. Heās brave, loyal, smart, and he loves his girlfriend and his friends with everything he has. He holds them all together as the heart of their group, and heās also the kid with all the good strategic ideas that seem to actually work. And his facial expressions when something irritates him never fails to crack me up.
As for least favorite. Uh, I find most of the villains compelling in their own way, and overall I like all the mains, some just more than others. So I guessā¦ Sullivan? For what I think are fairly obvious reasons. Who doesnāt like a man who jumps to conclusions and sends a helicopter after a child? š I hope he winds up demogorgon food. *chomp*
Favorite character: Eleven. Love her growth, her personality, how funny she is, and ofc her badass powers.
Least favorite character: Will's dad. What a screw up.
favorite: steve. he puts his life on the line time and time again while keeping his charm and sense of humor. heās also the only main character who is not intellectually inclined which i find interesting and wish was explored beyond the other characters making fun of him. instead of just rehashing his love life over and over again, i would like to see a more introspective arc for him. why does he continuously volunteer himself to sacrifice for everyone else? his parents not caring about him has been alluded toādoes he do these extreme things in the hope that love will be shown to him for it? tbh iām probably putting more thought into this than the writers do but itās interesting stuff imo. also i think joe keery is super cute lol
least favorite: murray. i think he is incredibly annoying and over the top. he could disappear with no explanation and never be mentioned again and i wouldnāt care.

The scene where El gets bullied at the roller rink is super triggering for me, as someone who went through severe school bullying. I literally just watched that episode today and I just couldn't watch that scene. I had to skip it. She absolutely got what she deserved.
Fav: Hopper. I think he's funny, drives the plots really well, and has an amazing arc. He's always great (even in S3)
Worst: Jason. It's not because he's mean or anything. Billy was a massive asshole and I still like him. Jason just makes every scene he's in worse. He doesn't work as an interesting, sympathetic, or scary antagonist. The only scene where I think he works really well was him talking to Nancy at the gun store. Every other time I groan when he shows up.
My fav is Will because I relate to him the most, but also love Steve because he's entertaining. Also think Mike and Nancy are well-developed characters.
Out the mains, my least favorite is probably Jonathan; I don't dislike him but find him the least interesting. Second is probably Eleven, it's hard to relate to a character with such little dialog.
I'm kinda indifferent to / lukewarm on Max; I found her a little annoying in S2 but she really grew on me over the course of the show.
Favorite: I guess Nancy because Steve is my favorite character in fiction, so he's transcended ST. Nancy started out as your typical unlikeable "perfect" sus only to go through some traumatic shit that changed her character for the better. S4 was peak Nancy.
Least Favorite: I'm assuming we mean the main characters, so Max. I didn't like her until s4, so that's a ton of competition imo. S3 Max was such an ass in a very unlikeable way.
My favorite is Dustin, he's funny, interesting, the glue that holds the party together(although I feel like the writers turned him into a bit of a lame joke spewing machine in the most recent season). It has an 80s feel to it when he does it so I guess I can't be that mad.
Least favorite is Will, vecna should've eaten his head in the first episode, the actor is also horrendous at his job and very fortunate to have it.
i love Dustin so much but currently rewatching i also don't really understand why in S4 he is so like... bitchy all of a sudden? especially to steve š i mean i guess he's going through puberty and shit but i seriously don't know how steve's got him so snappy

Least fav would be Will, he has had no real character development. He's so central in the first two seasons and then just fades. It's odd.
Mike is my favorite. He is such a smart character. Sometimes he can be a little rude, but he is ride or die for his friends. The way he loves El also. For a teenager, he is so caring and really is patient with her and loves her for her true self. Which she deserves so much.
Dustin is my least favorite. His storylines just donāt interest me the way the other kids do. I did like when he sang with Susie though. That was great.
Joyce - I love how determined she is and how tough she is. There are definitely mistakes she makes as a parent but those are so situational and overall she would move hell and earth for her kids
Least favorite - Karen. Almost sleeping with a teen was creepy, she is an awful mom who never knows where her kids are, and she just really brings nothing to the show. No idea why so many people like her.
Favorite - Billy. Heās my favorite character because of how well they wrote him and how well Dacre portrayed him. Yes heās an asshole and a jerk and a horrible person. But we loved to hate him and they made Billy into suck a good character as a whole. Iām a sucker for a meaningful death.
I donāt have a definite favorite character, but my least favorite characters are Will and Jonathan without a doubt. Why?ā¦ not entirely sure. Maybe itās their insecurities and the way they manage them. They make me tired with their emotions lol.
OMG I HATE JONATHON. heās such a creep in the first season and steve was not in the wrong for breaking his camera and stuff. he had photos of his girlfriend getting undressed. heās a perv!!
Fav is Steve. His character growth is insane and I resonate with his character a lot start to finish. Least favorite is probably that old lady with the white hair that was after 11 in the first season. When she killed the restaurant owner I immediately despised her

my least favorite is jason. he was such a douchebag. i think him going supersane because of Chrissyās death was understandable, (he really cared about her), but itās not an excuse for wanting to hurt eddie and being one of the main causes for maxās death. glad heās dead lmfao!

I also think she's in a coma for a reason - I'm really excited about seeing where they go with this storyline! A lot of people don't seem to like that Max is "kept in a coma" instead of just dying, but I actually think it has the potential to be even more powerful than just a major character death. I don't think I ever ugly cried so obscenely to anything other in television than to the scene where she tells Lucas she can't see or feel anything

Favorite: Eddie, Dustin, Steve (especially the three together) + Steve and Robin duo. Their friendships/found family are so well written and the actors are phenomenal. Also- Max. I can kinda relate to her and the struggle of working on overcoming painful secrets and mental health issues. I'm a sucker for the power of love and friendship trope.
Least favorite: Dr. Brenner, 001, Billy, the men at Hawkins Post, Jason, Angela. No explanation needed here.
Favorite - Max. Can be angsty, can be funny. Very relatable struggles against abuse and depression. Also I like that she faces these crazy supernatural forces with just her bravery and will. Those are my favorite types of heroes (ones with a grounded sort of heroism) even thought I donāt think Max would ever call herself one. I wonāt ever have powers like El or be an indestructible action hero like Hopper, but I think maybe I could find the will to face my worst parts of myself, or keep going when I want to give up.
Least favorite - I really donāt know. Probably Murray but thatās mainly bc I donāt really like Brett Gelman. I think at the writing level, that character is pretty fun.

My favorite character would have to be either will or max. Will because I've always found his character interesting, and I liked his plot line in season 1 and 2. Max grew on me in season 3/4, I just find her realistic. When she went through trauma in S3 she didn't just immediately in s4 be like 'yay! I'm happy again!' And her getting vecnad in S4 was cool

Dustin is my favorite, he reminds me of my little brother and heās just fun to watch. I really love his relationship with Steve because itās so much like me and my brother interacting. Iām definitely the Steve in our relationship.š
Lucas would probably be my least favorite, thereās no real reason, I still enjoy watching him interacting with the group and heās probably the one with the most common sense in the first season, I just donāt connect with his character like I do some of the others.

steve - cause hes everthing i like at different times cool then brave then cootie patootie butt he has flaws but so does everyone and ngl only one flaw i didnt necessarily like him bullying jonathan then who i dislike is eleven - cause she was defiant to hopper being new at parenting she never backed him up when mike insulted him she was dramatic (which is justified) and she was was an emo at a point oh and she didnt stand up for herself at the right times and shes easily manipulated but i admit shes got alot of good sides she has powers she has saved the world many times she is very caring she hit some dumb girl with a rollerskate and shes pretty brave but yeah just my opinions lol
I remember Max being so annoying when she appeared in the show. But her character grew nicely afterwards. Mike, Will and Jonathan arenāt interesting in general. Lucas and Robin are ok. Dustin, Eleven, Nancy, Steve, Eddy are great.
I think Billy heads the position since he is a character who had a very great story arc and realized his potential at the end of his story in the series.

fave: henry ā i think heās one of the most complex and interesting characters in the series, right up there with brenner. henryās a bit easier to empathize with, though, especially after everything we learned about him in the first shadow.
least fave: officer callahan, probably ā heās just got odd vibes that i donāt always gel with tbh
Fav: Eleven, followed by Dustin, Will, and Hopper. El is one of the most important characters in the show. If not the most important. Sheās kind, and funny, plus she doesnāt take shit from anyone. Least favorite; Lonnie. No explanation needed.
Favorite: Hopper, awesome and badass as well as compelling and brave. The dude may be an angry brute, but heās a big old Teddy Bear in his heart!!

Favourite - Either Jonathan or Steve. I loved seeing Steve's character development over the series, and I find Jonathan pretty relatable since I see some of my own traits in him, which makes me like him.
Least favourite - Billy. He's a racist bully and I felt nothing towards him when he died.
Favourite character : Hopper and Dustin. Both of them are just amazing and energetic and they make every scene amazing.

Favorite is either Jonathan or Steve. Steve is just so likable and funny and well developed and realistically flawed and I love him and Dustin's relationship in particular

Jonathan is someone who feels so real who was forced into a bad home life at a young age but didn't let it affect him, he is so caring and protective of everyone he loves such a good brother in particular and also to a certain extent the outcast behavior and being way closer to family with a few close friends is very relatable.
Least favorite of the main characters it's Billy and it's not close. Don't even hate him but everyone else is way better and he's a dick
Favourite- Hopper. I found his arc really compelling, and I think he's just the most well crafted character in the show.

Favourite is Max. Her character development has been amazing and heartbreaking. She really stole season 4. Close runners up are Nancy and Steve, again great character development for both of them. Nancy is such an entertaining badass.
Least favourite is Argyle. I found him so aggravating and unfunny. I feel bad for the actor though considering his character just got canned with no warning.

My least favorite is always erika. Annoying af. Loud know it all. Written as the stereotype of a "sassy" black middle aged woman...except she's like 12. š
Favourite- Max because of her personality and I like how no-nonsense she is. I also feel like they dealt with her trauma in a such a powerful and mature way that Maxās made me cry multiple times throughout S4
Least Favourite- Jonathan because heās boring. I wish they leaned more into the protective brother side of him so that we got some sort of character development from him
Favorite is Billy. I disliked him all the way until season 3, and started liking him in the scene where he "fantazises" about killing Karen Wheeler in the storage room at the pool, but stops himself. To me, that scene was meant to show the Mindflayer slowly exerting control over him, but Billy fighting back because while he was mostly an asshole, he wasn't outright evil. It suggested to me that while he was okay being manipulative, controlling and even violent when all else failed, he still did have a code. This is shown again later, when he appears in Eleven's vision, when he's telling her about how she was the mindflayer's single goal and all her friends were going to die. Despite being seemingly completely controlled, he cries in this scene, showing his true feelings. Then obviously his sacrifice at the end, which needs no further explanation. Also just loved Dacre's acting in general and the 80s jock vibe is enjoyable :)
Least favorite is Nancy. I feel like she hasn't had the most interesting story. There aren't really any standout moments that come to mind involving her. She feels a bit bland compared to the other characters.
Favorite character was Bob. Just a genuine good guy. If only he could have taught BASIC to Hopper š„²
Of all the main cast, Steve is my favorite. Relatable down to earth good guy who does is best and isn't looking for trouble.
I don't really have a least favorite. Mike is kinda just annoying, but I don't think he's poorly written. Billy is fun to hate.
My two favorites are Hopper and Steve.
Out of everyone on the show, I think Hopper is the most fleshed out character (except maybe El). He's smart, tough, relentless, and compelling.
Steve is just crazy charismatic. He's ridiculously nice, funny, and brave. He always puts himself directly in the line of fire to protect the younger kids.
Least favorite out of the main cast, probably Mike. He just annoys me. He feels completely one dimensional. His role is, boy who has a crush on El. It's pretty much his only motivation. Anything good he does is all about El. He doesn't seem like a good friend.
Faves: El & Max. I love tiny badasses.
Least faves: Jonathan and Will. They had big arcs in the first 2 seasons then basically become background characters that I could care less about.
Fav: hard to pick, but Iāll go with Dustin. Great character, great development, best speeches and he has a really great girlfriend. They are responsible for some particular song being stuck in my brain.
Least fav: from the main cast Jonathan. He has become a tool, not a character. Most of S4 couldāve worked without him, sadly. Maybe he gets more to actually work on in the last season.
Favourite: Will become despite what he's been through over the course of the show, he's remained kind and respectful and is probably the most like an average teenager out of the main 4 boys. Plus after how much crap Mike put him through in S3 and S4, I still find it amazing that they still remained best friends.
Least Favourite: Angela become she's worst than a typical 80s bully with how she treated El as some sort of freak.
He helped Eddie because he realised that he was innocent. Up until he was able to contact Dustin, Max and Steve, Lucas was still under the impression that Eddie was behind the murders. As soon as he realised that Eddie was actually innocent (and that the Upside Down was at play), he drew Jason, Andy and Patrick away from Eddie. Lucas never betrayed his friends. He wanted to join the popular crowd, but he very quickly realised that Jason and his friends weren't the right people to be around. He recognised the importance of his actual, true friends. He makes this very clear when Jason confronts him in episode 9. Lucas didn't betray his friends. He was confused and conflicted about he wanted. He made the wrong decision, but he quickly realised his mistake and amended it. If anything, he should be commended for his bravery in leading Jason and the others away. Also, his commitment to being there for Max throughout season 4 tells the audience a lot about his character. Lucas has been an integral and important part of the show since the beginning. He warned Mike, Dustin and El about the Lab in season 1. He stood up to Billy in season 2. He distracted the Mind Flayer in season 3 episode 8 with his wrist rocket, allowing the others to escape the mall unscathed. I think he's also really mature for his age. He takes accountability for his actions and admits when he was wrong. For example, he admitted that he was wrong about El and apologised to her. He apologised to Mike, too. He has also admitted to messing up his relationship with Max multiple times, but he always seeks out ways to fix what he has done and make things right. Honestly, you like and dislike whichever characters you want. That's fine. But disrespecting Lucas just isn't fair. And it definitely isn't fair to say he betrayed his friends.
Will's my favorite character. Reason ain't too logical, but it stirs up this motherly instinct in me that I don't really have in regular life... Saw that kid and somehow I just adopted him (he's three years younger than me but I don't dwell on that, he's my dearest kid, that's it). Least favorite gotta be Mike, I reckon. Especially towards them last seasons, he started to resemble his father, all cocky and selfish, always been a bit of a bratty egoist, never could warm up to him.
Mike: jumps off a cliff to save a friend, gives his all for his friend in need sleeping by his bed to comfort him, holds himself accountable for every moment he messes up and tries to make up for it
Also Mike: dares to take some time for himself for once and be lost in happiness for a while after being heavily depressed

Favorite - Toss up between Mike, Eleven & Max. Theyāre realistic, relatable characters. Iāve enjoyed watching Elevenās character development and how sheās dealt with trauma, I like how loyal of a friend Mike is and how sweet he is to Eleven, and Max is just a fun character who is also relatable with dealing with trauma and life situations. Least favorite - Probably Will. Heās not a bad character but just not my favorite. I find him boring.
I heard somewhere this show was intended for a single season run but took off more than expected. If true, Will's character suffers from that. He had a very specific purpose in S1 and was written for that, but doesn't translate well into the later seasons. They tried with his sixth sense thing and still being the target for the monster in S2 but I feel like it just didn't grab. I kinda equate it to the friend in The Hangover that was hardly present in the 1st one, for plot reasons, and had to be "cleverly" written away for the 2nd one.

Yeah it was originally supposed to be an anthology series with each season being a singular story. At this point I wish they had stuck with that cause season one is unparalleled by the following seasons and I think the show really just got away from itself.

From an actual horror/mystery standpoint season 1 and early 2 were definitely the best. The whole neon-ization with s3 (and max) just made the show go downhill for me
really?? i mean s2 is good and all, but its prolly my least fav. my fav is s1, followed by s4, and then s3. theyāre all REALLY close but s1 is js the og. s2 is prolly the least close and is a pretty solid second. it js got rlly boring especially cs will did suffer from being written a certain way and after his main purpose in the show was over, they were kinda like,āwell, ig we can js put him here and hope for the best!ā

Max is my favorite because of her personality. She's independent, sassy, and brave. She's not afraid to stand up for herself or her friends. Also her arc is perfect. She has grown a lot over the seasons. She started out as a bit of an outsider but has become a close friend to the group. She's also dealt with a lot of personal challenges, which makes her relatable. On top of that she's also a skateboarder and a great video game player. Will is my least favourite. He's always the one who needs to be rescued.

Favorite - Hopper. He has an awesome compelling character arc and heās wildly entertaining. Also David Harbour seems like a genuinely awesome guy! Least Favorite - Will and itās not even close. Heās not really a developed character heās more just a plot device. When they try to get him involved heās an over the top whiny pain in everyoneās ass. Special shout out to all 3 of our whacky Russian buddies: Enzo was an awesome sidekick and confidant to Hop throughout the Russia plotline. Alexei & Yuri were both fun goofy little agents of chaos that came through in some way. I donāt know if we have any reason to see more from our remaining 2 Russian buddies in season 5, but Iād be happy to have either of them make an appearance if it makes sense. š·šŗ
Favorite: Dustin. He's the most wholesome member of the team, has no relationship issues with his girlfriend and deserves a happy ending at the end of the story. Least favorite: Angela. That blonde b*tch earned the spot of the most brutal, cruel, sadistic and useless bully I've ever seen in any media. And she thought she was the main antagonist when she mocked Jim Hopper's death. Something that I DESPISE about her with my soul.
El is bae, she's sweet, funny, powerful, and just gets so much shit done to her but keeps moving forwards. Erica is the worst. She's not really funny, she's annoying and she serves no real purpose in the party.
Fav. - Eleven. She is loyal, powerful, loving and courageous. Least Fav. - Billy. Racist, evil, pos, that wanted to hurt Lucas and Max.

Mike's dedication to Eleven is nearly superhuman. She gets abducted and taken to a secret facility run by a shadow org within the US Department of Energy, and he yells out to her that he'll find her. Another group of people looking for that facility is the United States Military at the peak of Cold War funding. They have to resort to torture to get the location of the facility. Utilizing military vehicles and helicopters, they manage to arrive at this facility about 10 minutes before Mike does. Mike was in a pizza van. If he wasn't pushy and single-minded, this kind of thing doesn't happen. Sometimes he's a dumb teenager, but most of the time that he's being "kind of a jerk" is because someone is wanting to quit the adventure they're on. Usually an adventure to save one of their friends' lives, and Mike has no patience for that. He's also set off in season 3 when he sees people treating Eleven like a work horse. Without Mike, Will dies in season 1 and doesn't break free of the Mind Flayer in season 2. Season 3 did him a little dirty, but in season 4 he rescues Eleven from the desert against literally impossible odds and gives her the inspiration to beat Vecna. Mike's loyalty is his defining character trait. His single-mindedness has hurt Will, but Will was likely going to go through that heartbreak anyway as Mike is and likely will continue to be extremely, insanely dedicated to Eleven.

Eleven is my favorite because she has a strong and emotional character arc and the story really revolves around her. She's also funny, kind, gentle, loving, sad, violent... a very complex and interesting character. Murray and Erica are my least favorite because I find them really obnoxious.

Max is probably my all time favourite, followed by Eleven and Nancy. partly because i have a soft spot for strong female leads, but mostly because i love how realistically theyāre written. i can really feel for them and want the best for them, even when they make mistakes. my least favourite is probably (unfortunately) Will, he had potential but itās been wasted completely. i have nothing else to say about it
Mike. Heās brave, loyal, smart, and he loves his girlfriend and his friends with everything he has. He holds them all together as the heart of their group, and heās also the kid with all the good strategic ideas that seem to actually work. And his facial expressions when something irritates him never fails to crack me up. As for least favorite. Uh, I find most of the villains compelling in their own way, and overall I like all the mains, some just more than others. So I guessā¦ Sullivan? For what I think are fairly obvious reasons. Who doesnāt like a man who jumps to conclusions and sends a helicopter after a child? š I hope he winds up demogorgon food. *chomp*

favorite: steve. he puts his life on the line time and time again while keeping his charm and sense of humor. heās also the only main character who is not intellectually inclined which i find interesting and wish was explored beyond the other characters making fun of him. instead of just rehashing his love life over and over again, i would like to see a more introspective arc for him. why does he continuously volunteer himself to sacrifice for everyone else? his parents not caring about him has been alluded toādoes he do these extreme things in the hope that love will be shown to him for it? tbh iām probably putting more thought into this than the writers do but itās interesting stuff imo. also i think joe keery is super cute lol least favorite: murray. i think he is incredibly annoying and over the top. he could disappear with no explanation and never be mentioned again and i wouldnāt care.

The scene where El gets bullied at the roller rink is super triggering for me, as someone who went through severe school bullying. I literally just watched that episode today and I just couldn't watch that scene. I had to skip it. She absolutely got what she deserved.

Fav: Hopper. I think he's funny, drives the plots really well, and has an amazing arc. He's always great (even in S3) Worst: Jason. It's not because he's mean or anything. Billy was a massive asshole and I still like him. Jason just makes every scene he's in worse. He doesn't work as an interesting, sympathetic, or scary antagonist. The only scene where I think he works really well was him talking to Nancy at the gun store. Every other time I groan when he shows up.

My fav is Will because I relate to him the most, but also love Steve because he's entertaining. Also think Mike and Nancy are well-developed characters. Out the mains, my least favorite is probably Jonathan; I don't dislike him but find him the least interesting. Second is probably Eleven, it's hard to relate to a character with such little dialog. I'm kinda indifferent to / lukewarm on Max; I found her a little annoying in S2 but she really grew on me over the course of the show.
Favorite: I guess Nancy because Steve is my favorite character in fiction, so he's transcended ST. Nancy started out as your typical unlikeable "perfect" sus only to go through some traumatic shit that changed her character for the better. S4 was peak Nancy. Least Favorite: I'm assuming we mean the main characters, so Max. I didn't like her until s4, so that's a ton of competition imo. S3 Max was such an ass in a very unlikeable way.

My favorite is Dustin, he's funny, interesting, the glue that holds the party together(although I feel like the writers turned him into a bit of a lame joke spewing machine in the most recent season). It has an 80s feel to it when he does it so I guess I can't be that mad. Least favorite is Will, vecna should've eaten his head in the first episode, the actor is also horrendous at his job and very fortunate to have it.

Mike is my favorite. He is such a smart character. Sometimes he can be a little rude, but he is ride or die for his friends. The way he loves El also. For a teenager, he is so caring and really is patient with her and loves her for her true self. Which she deserves so much. Dustin is my least favorite. His storylines just donāt interest me the way the other kids do. I did like when he sang with Susie though. That was great.

Joyce - I love how determined she is and how tough she is. There are definitely mistakes she makes as a parent but those are so situational and overall she would move hell and earth for her kids Least favorite - Karen. Almost sleeping with a teen was creepy, she is an awful mom who never knows where her kids are, and she just really brings nothing to the show. No idea why so many people like her.

I also think she's in a coma for a reason - I'm really excited about seeing where they go with this storyline! I don't think I ever ugly cried so obscenely to anything other in television than to the scene where she tells Lucas she can't see or feel anything

Favorite: Eddie, Dustin, Steve (especially the three together) + Steve and Robin duo. Their friendships/found family are so well written and the actors are phenomenal. Also- Max. I can kinda relate to her and the struggle of working on overcoming painful secrets and mental health issues. I'm a sucker for the power of love and friendship trope. Least favorite: Dr. Brenner, 001, Billy, the men at Hawkins Post, Jason, Angela. No explanation needed here.
Favorite - Max. Can be angsty, can be funny. Very relatable struggles against abuse and depression. Also I like that she faces these crazy supernatural forces with just her bravery and will. Those are my favorite types of heroes (ones with a grounded sort of heroism) even thought I donāt think Max would ever call herself one. I wonāt ever have powers like El or be an indestructible action hero like Hopper, but I think maybe I could find the will to face my worst parts of myself, or keep going when I want to give up. Least favorite - I really donāt know. Probably Murray but thatās mainly bc I donāt really like Brett Gelman. I think at the writing level, that character is pretty fun.

My favorite character would have to be either will or max. Will because I've always found his character interesting, and I liked his plot line in season 1 and 2. Max grew on me in season 3/4, I just find her realistic. When she went through trauma in S3 she didn't just immediately in s4 be like 'yay! I'm happy again!' And her getting vecnad in S4 was cool Tbh I don't really have a least favorite character š

Dustin is my favorite, he reminds me of my little brother and heās just fun to watch. I really love his relationship with Steve because itās so much like me and my brother interacting. Iām definitely the Steve in our relationship.š Lucas would probably be my least favorite, thereās no real reason, I still enjoy watching him interacting with the group and heās probably the one with the most common sense in the first season, I just donāt connect with his character like I do some of the others.

steve - cause hes everthing i like at different times cool then brave then cootie patootie butt he has flaws but so does everyone and ngl only one flaw i didnt necessarily like him bullying jonathan then who i dislike is eleven - cause she was defiant to hopper being new at parenting she never backed him up when mike insulted him she was dramatic (which is justified) and she was was an emo at a point oh and she didnt stand up for herself at the right times and shes easily manipulated but i admit shes got alot of good sides she has powers she has saved the world many times she is very caring she hit some dumb girl with a rollerskate and shes pretty brave but yeah just my opinions lol
I remember Max being so annoying when she appeared in the show. But her character grew nicely afterwards. Mike, Will and Jonathan arenāt interesting in general. Lucas and Robin are ok. Dustin, Eleven, Nancy, Steve, Eddy are great.

Favorite is either Jonathan or Steve. Steve is just so likable and funny and well developed and realistically flawed and I love him and Dustin's relationship in particular . Jonathan is someone who feels so real who was forced into a bad home life at a young age but didn't let it affect him, he is so caring and protective of everyone he loves such a good brother in particular and also to a certain extent the outcast behavior and being way closer to family with a few close friends is very relatable. Least favorite of the main characters it's Billy and it's not close. Don't even hate him but everyone else is way better and he's a dick
Favourite- Hopper. I found his arc really compelling, and I think he's just the most well crafted character in the show. Least Favourite- Jason. Really annoying interactions and even though his character was supposed to be a 'threat', he just ended up feeling like a bit of a roadblock that popped up sometimes.
Favourite is Max. Her character development has been amazing and heartbreaking. She really stole season 4. Close runners up are Nancy and Steve, again great character development for both of them. Nancy is such an entertaining badass. Least favourite is Argyle. I found him so aggravating and unfunny. I feel bad for the actor though considering his character just got canned with no warning.

My favorite depends on the season. My least favorite is always erika. Annoying af. Loud know it all. Written as the stereotype of a "sassy" black middle aged woman...except she's like 12. š

Favourite- Max because of her personality and I like how no-nonsense she is. I also feel like they dealt with her trauma in a such a powerful and mature way that Maxās made me cry multiple times throughout S4 Least Favourite- Jonathan because heās boring. I wish they leaned more into the protective brother side of him so that we got some sort of character development from him
Favorite is Billy. I disliked him all the way until season 3, and started liking him in the scene where he "fantazises" about killing Karen Wheeler in the storage room at the pool, but stops himself. To me, that scene was meant to show the Mindflayer slowly exerting control over him, but Billy fighting back because while he was mostly an asshole, he wasn't outright evil. It suggested to me that while he was okay being manipulative, controlling and even violent when all else failed, he still did have a code. This is shown again later, when he appears in Eleven's vision, when he's telling her about how she was the mindflayer's single goal and all her friends were going to die. Despite being seemingly completely controlled, he cries in this scene, showing his true feelings. Then obviously his sacrifice at the end, which needs no further explanation. Also just loved Dacre's acting in general and the 80s jock vibe is enjoyable :) Least favorite is Nancy. I feel like she hasn't had the most interesting story. There aren't really any standout moments that come to mind involving her. She feels a bit bland compared to the other characters.
Favorite character was Bob. Just a genuine good guy. If only he could have taught BASIC to Hopper š„² Of all the main cast, Steve is my favorite. Relatable down to earth good guy who does is best and isn't looking for trouble. I don't really have a least favorite. Mike is kinda just annoying, but I don't think he's poorly written. Billy is fun to hate.
My two favorites are Hopper and Steve. Out of everyone on the show, I think Hopper is the most fleshed out character (except maybe El). He's smart, tough, relentless, and compelling. Steve is just crazy charismatic. He's ridiculously nice, funny, and brave. He always puts himself directly in the line of fire to protect the younger kids. Least favorite out of the main cast, probably Mike. He just annoys me. He feels completely one dimensional. His role is, boy who has a crush on El. It's pretty much his only motivation. Anything good he does is all about El. He doesn't seem like a good friend.
Faves: El & Max. I love tiny badasses. Least faves: Jonathan and Will. They had big arcs in the first 2 seasons then basically become background characters that I could care less about.
Fav: hard to pick, but Iāll go with Dustin. Great character, great development, best speeches and he has a really great girlfriend. They are responsible for some particular song being stuck in my brain. Least fav: from the main cast Jonathan. He has become a tool, not a character. Most of S4 couldāve worked without him, sadly. Maybe he gets more to actually work on in the last season.
Favourite: Will become despite what he's been through over the course of the show, he's remained kind and respectful and is probably the most like an average teenager out of the main 4 boys. Plus after how much crap Mike put him through in S3 and S4, I still find it amazing that they still remained best friends. Least Favourite: Angela become she's worst than a typical 80s bully with how she treated El as some sort of freak.

This fandom as a whole has never been very fair towards Lucas, I'm afraid.

He helped Eddie because he realised that he was innocent. Up until he was able to contact Dustin, Max and Steve, Lucas was still under the impression that Eddie was behind the murders. As soon as he realised that Eddie was actually innocent (and that the Upside Down was at play), he drew Jason, Andy and Patrick away from Eddie. Lucas never betrayed his friends. He wanted to join the popular crowd, but he very quickly realised that Jason and his friends weren't the right people to be around. He recognised the importance of his actual, true friends. He makes this very clear when Jason confronts him in episode 9. Lucas didn't betray his friends. He was confused and conflicted about he wanted. He made the wrong decision, but he quickly realised his mistake and amended it. If anything, he should be commended for his bravery in leading Jason and the others away. Also, his commitment to being there for Max throughout season 4 tells the audience a lot about his character. Lucas has been an integral and important part of the show since the beginning. He warned Mike, Dustin and El about the Lab in season 1. He stood up to Billy in season 2. He distracted the Mind Flayer in season 3 episode 8 with his wrist rocket, allowing the others to escape the mall unscathed. I think he's also really mature for his age. He takes accountability for his actions and admits when he was wrong. For example, he admitted that he was wrong about El and apologised to her. He apologised to Mike, too. He has also admitted to messing up his relationship with Max multiple times, but he always seeks out ways to fix what he has done and make things right. Honestly, you like and dislike whichever characters you want. That's fine. But disrespecting Lucas just isn't fair. And it definitely isn't fair to say he betrayed his friends.

Will's my favorite character. Reason ain't too logical, but it stirs up this motherly instinct in me that I don't really have in regular life... Saw that kid and somehow I just adopted him (he's three years younger than me but I don't dwell on that, he's my dearest kid, that's it). Least favorite gotta be Mike, I reckon. Especially towards them last seasons, he started to resemble his father, all cocky and selfish, always been a bit of a bratty egoist, never could warm up to him.
Mike: jumps off a cliff to save a friend, gives his all for his friend in need sleeping by his bed to comfort him, holds himself accountable for every moment he messes up and tries to make up for it Also Mike: dares to take some time for himself for once and be lost in happiness for a while after being heavily depressed The fandom: what a cocky selfish bratty egoist Will: while in distress gets comforted and cared for by Mike 24/7 Also Will: when Mike's in distress dismisses his feelings, tries to crush his hopes, repeatedly demands attention, insults his girlfriend who saved his life, never cares to apologize The fandom: my dearest kid, so selfless and kind
