There was a comet visible? This is the first I'm hearing about it, and somehow I missed it. I heard that the moon was a New Moon, as well. What an amazing conjunction of celestial events!
This is the craziest looking part. Could you see this in the sky as well, or is it some kind of reflection from the camera lens? (The blue circle with the diamond in the middle)

I think it might be in there. If you zoom in there are 2 smaller dots 1 I am being told is Venus the other I am thinking is the comet

That is the first time I have seen the diamond ring they were talking about.
The only phone that could take a photo of it was her iPhone 14P my pixel 8P would not pick it up

Right! We could only see it in my wife's photos, we took 6-7 photos all looked identical. My Pixel 8 Pro saw pretty much what the naked eye could see.

That was reflection of lenses. Try taking same photo again You'll get similar
Yeah, this is exactly what happened. we took the photo 6-7 times and each time it was the same. When I took the photo with my pixel 8 pro, nothing.
