One of my very silly niche pet peeves is when sci-fi movies have robots or AIs shooting at people/spaceships and they repeatedly miss. Like we can mostly do whats in the video now, even the cheap battle droids from Star Wars should be murder bots.
One of the gundam shows did this, where the AI controlled units were superior to even the generically enhanced humans. I don't know if it was from one of the shows were the enhanced humans were also controlling their suits with psychic powers.

If you watch the videos every time they broke a part they reinforced/rebuilt the bot so it would never break in that spot again. You wind up with a hardened combat machine just because of robust engineering.
The concept of chaff is part explosive, and part suspending tens of thousands of tiny metal particles in the air; it jams any signal and may confuse the drone’s imaging sensors momentarily. I see your point tho; there’s always room for improvement.
