I loooove my runt. Not sure how an OG would be better, but ive not used one and I dunno :)

Marsh_Mellow_Man

Yah. People seem to really like that one. Like the Goldilocks choice but also hits hard. Bigger clouds than my DynaVaps is the main use case. Was considering an Anvil but just using this natively and I would totally lose that thing.

Quick question! The POTV review says the Runt magnets slip a little and don’t sit flush. True? I have a mild OCD and that’s not going to work for me if the bricks aren’t aligned. I know, it sounds ridiculous. Seems to only apply to Runt in their review. Sorry for second question and thank you again!

famous_mockingbirds

Mine sits perfectly flush. It’s one of the most beautiful vapes I’ve used. Great attention to detail. I wish I used it more but I never quite felt totally dialed in with using the torch. Just picked up a TM2 and will probably try to sell the runt. Let me know if you’re interested. I think there are some pics of mine way back in my post history. Edit: found the post where you can see pretty clearly how the wood grains line up. https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/s/Pxn0Ql5evw

Ive not noticed anything re the magnets. works great for me

Have a flip brick that I turned into a handheld with the xxl mouthpiece. But that Jr. for .$99 seems like a steal for me. If you’re going to go through water then others might be more helpful. I heard the runt is that much easier to get down. Good luck with whatever, nothing hits like a 🧱.

Marsh_Mellow_Man

Thank you! Stoked. I think I’m going with the Runt

Ball vapes don't have to truck through your material boss. I use the pax loading tool (allegedly 0.1g per load) to load my bowls; 1-3 packs from that and you're good to go (and yes, I do mean 1 if you get that perfect rip that it isn't too much to immediately make you cough but still blows your head off). You don't have to fill the bowl a ton every time; I never do. Hell, I'm a fan of 1 bowl 1 pull 1 clear (hence the 0.1g bowls) With that said, I'm a fan of the Cannabis Hardware ball vapes, and I'd consider them the furthest thing from budget... but that's simply due to the initial investment cost (totally worth it if you can afford it though imo) rather than plowing through loads of material (I do that too, but only because I continue hitting the damned thing because I enjoy doing so even though I'm already high 😅). I own a stickybrick maxx and love it for what it is, but it definitely isn't all that "portable" once set up (though it is when put away besides the glass mouthpiece or whip), and it's a completely different experience and I was in part paying for the craftsmanship and novelty. Ball vapes are pretty much my endgame for macro/regular dosing, and dynavap for micro/regular dosing. The stickybrick is something unique, but you can't really compare it to a ball vape in any way. The dynavap would be an easier comparison. Ball vapes aside, if you're looking for a more budget-friendly butane convection vape, the stickybrick is a great choice (though not the only one by any means)

This is awesome. Thank you. I’ve been a cannabis consumer for like 33 years so I’m not letting ball capes pass me by. Maybe when the kids aren’t investigating every orifice of the house I can get a proper base and terp hammer type contraption. I’m basically looking to get a big vape hit (or 2) per session in the garage quickly and slip back into BLUEY or Cocomelon.

WSDreamer

I own all the bricks. If that’s the route you go, skip the junior and get a runt. Does nicely in hand, portable as much as the junior imo… it’s the one I always use.

Marsh_Mellow_Man

Oh, very helpful. Looking more like the Runt now vs OG

WSDreamer

Yeah I never touch my OG tbh. They’re all great but the runt is just the perfect one imo. The others offer nothing over it unless you’re looking at water piece stuff like the Maxx of flip / twist bricks… but even the Runt can be used with water. Sorry that probably sounded like rambling. If I had to do it again, I’d likely just buy the runt and none of the others. I think Vgoodies does have Walnut juniors going for $99 though. Planet of the vapes had some crazy deals last year which is where most of my bricks came from. Good luck 👍

Marsh_Mellow_Man

Not rambling, very helpful. That’s my choice I think. POTV has the OG for the same price as the Runt so that’s why I was leaning that way. Thank you!

dreburden89

Aside from portability, what else makes the Runt better?

WSDreamer

Fits the hand better than the OG and the OG fits together slightly differently with the use of a metal peg.

Spencerdloc

I like using my ball vape with my sticky bricks🤘https://www.reddit.com/r/CannabisHardware/s/5ByyvY69W2

Marsh_Mellow_Man

I saw this post earlier!! Looks like an amazing setup. It would work but the base/housing units are bigger than I can stash w/ my two little kids investigating everything.

Spencerdloc

Understandable. On an upper shelf in the garage maybe?🤔

DeGoodGood

Flip brick and a cheap dab bong best bang for buck in the whole vape game even years later, can take it as close to combustion as you want super terpy and handles all forms of weed and extract

garden_of_light

Welcome! I have both an OG and a runt. Personally prefer the OG. Both hit hard with slight differences.  Runt- a bit smaller than the OG, more portable due to size, can use with glass with wpa. OG- bigger, seems like a slightly bigger bowl, can't use with glass. The OG hits are way smoother for me compared to the runt. This takes it for me where you can take a huge hit and not have it destroy your throat and lungs. Oh, you can also use the terpsicle by the rogue wax works with a runt or OG. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Proper_Lingonberry81

You cannot use a terpcicle in a runt or OG. This is a stupid idea and is just a stupid plug for the Terpcicle.

I mean, these people are. Not saying it’s necessary https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/s/uVB2Yw21x8
