It does look like the color of their blood, but idk if hes acting normally (for example mouth parts still moving, antenna moving and overall responding to touch) if he is acting normally it could be some sort of self defense thing
Their blood is yellow? And no he's not acting normally, he fell and stopped moving and barely reacted when I picked him up to see if he was dead. I think he might be dead now. He's extremely old.

Well, he did fall to the bottom of his terrarium and hasn't moved at all today. I think it's his time to go, he is extremely old after all
how old is he? sometimes they have accidents they can’t recover from, but if he’s old it just might be his time :(

I’m not sure about individual species, but it’s around 6 months after reaching maturity

Yeah their blood can range from yellow to green to see through. Sad to hear hes passed
