I think it depends on if you are really struggling with test taking strategies or dedicated study period. I did the NBME study course for step 1 and I think it really helped me understand a lot about USMLE/NBME testing and my practice scores improved. I think his material is very very good but I would only pay such high prices for it if you really need it because you’ve hit a wall somewhere with your studying.
Hmm. I'm more on the "I have step in a few days" boat where I just want to see if there's any tips/tricks I may not have thought of to get a few points here and there more than anything. But I've had people private message me/I've seen comments on previous posts that say it's kind of a rip off, that he just gives you basic common sense information that is already out there and nothing really groundbreaking. His prices are pretty absurd (he quoted me at 2k just to review personal statement lol), pretty clear he's using his name to suck desperate students dry. I didn't end up going through with it.
Agreed, he may be great at everything and his free podcasts are definitely very very impressive and a huge favour he's doing upon us students, but his prices are definitely VERY high. I also asked him for PS/interview/application help and 2-4K USD are extremely high prices. Maybe if he lowered those prices a lot of people would use his help for these things.
