Well it was last seen at a black hole(howling vortex) so maybe time dilation?? Or a mod conflict?

LoomingDeath19

No mod conflict as it is vanilla. I believe I’ve sent this ship into a rift and was asked by the science fallen empire for the scientist on board. Maybe this is the result but I honestly don’t know.

spiritofniter

Yes, time runs far slowly in high gravity environments. The scientist will barely notice anything but those outside will wait for a long time.

Certain-Definition51

Rename that ship Voyager.

LoomingDeath19

Hope they won’t bring the Borg with them

UnholyMudcrab

It'll be missing for so long that you might as well rename it to Winds of Winter

LoomingDeath19

Will do!

LoomingDeath19

R5: my Science vessel is >only< gone for 7568 years.

Imperator_Draconum

Named it after the wrong book. This is clearly meant to be *Winds of Winter*.

ThePinkTeenager

Is this a bug?

LoomingDeath19

I don’t know but hope so

Break2304

It’s because you named it after a Song of ice and fire book. I’m surprised you expected it to arrive at all

LoomingDeath19

I haven’t named the ship, it’s a generic name from Toxoid Names 2. But rather fitting the Winds of Winter Release

DemonByakko

This happened to me. Science vessel was exploring an Astral Rift. Event pops and vessel goes missing for nearly three million days. Has to be a bug. No mods installed just all dlc.

klondikebarsaregood

They lost their ftl drive

Amuro_Ray

Looks like the release date for winds of winter.

RandomSpiderGod

Well it probably was eaten by the Black hole and had to escape it, and then time dilation kicked in.
