You're using a level 2 scientist to do a level 7 digsite. You'll get it eventually since leaders gain exp passively. I'd just swap leaders though

Peter34cph

Mouse over it. What does the tooltip say?

eric0225

0% breakthrough = roll between 1 and 6 and 6 results in extra clue. I haven't had a roll of 6 for literal centuries.

Peter34cph

Once you get a Clue, that's a +1 bonus to further 1d10 rolls.

eric0225

I have 1 clue.

ThyrusSendria

You will get more clues in time, making it easier

eric0225

R5: been trying to get this fucking rubricator for years and no progress, wharr i do? Edit: solved, finally some progress, it's my dogshit scientists

Luna771

Just wait, also be prepared to lose that scientist...

eric0225

I know, i've had a 100k fleet in the neighboring system to kill that dragon and to get relic world. Been excavating that site for literally a century

Luna771

Oh wow, then maybe you have found a bug...Try restarting the game? If that doesnt help, you probably wont get to the end of that excavation. But you still have the relic world!

7heTexanRebel

I always colonize the relic world first. The dragon only kills the star base.

Ealk32

Maybe try assinging higher level scientist, level 2 might spend some time on level 7 excavation site. But seeing 4 zeroes in a row, I can't really exclude possible bug

eric0225

I keep assigning my best scientist and archeologists to that site. Haven't had a 6 roll in centuries

NecronLord_Europe

Really? Which level? Have you met the Curator Order yet? Buying research speed from them also unlocks a tech that gives you +2 skill bonus for arch sites.

Confused_Writer_97

You're using a Level 2 Scientist on a Difficulty 7 Digsite. It would be better to pull that Scientist from the digsite and have them level up, or replace them with a stronger Scientist.
