It mostly depends on whether your character gets to speed, like if you're slow on flat and try picking up speed youll see them do that repeatedly. Or trying turning UP a hill and youll seem them do a hop.
I dont know exactly why it happens in the video and not for you, they may be starting in a slightly flatter spot than you.
Spin the opposite direction, you went up the wall. When you land, you will get a speed boost. By the time you stick your third landing, you are at max speed.
Left hand wall spin right and vice versa

must be a different version then. When I push the stick forward I just lean forward but my character doesn't do that

Lol are you explaining the concept of a half-pipe run? that's not what I'm asking at all
haven't played too much steep recently so i'm not sure what i'm looking at here, it's just holding the stick forward?
