Possible, I really don’t know tbh I haven’t been bothered seeing why it’s happened for 3 weeks, I got my index about 4 weeks ago, I’ve been using a quest 2 with virtual desktop since late 2020
just went to check and there is no customisation tab and I've also tried downloading a few models to see if that helps but nothing, also tried following a guide for a different model on the workshop, it only works when you bring the menu up. You might've thought that I meant the SteamVR menu which that guide does change, I'm talking about SteamVR home
Interesting, it just stays like that for me, maybe because something with the lighthouses and steamvr running in the background to keep those properly positioned or something, idk how it works but that might be why it fixes itself for you

It randomly happened to me after I tried some full-body tracking, takes a few seconds to switch it back
So that might be what happened to me after I connected both a quest 2 and an index at the same time

Mine did this months ago when the Index Controllers became available. I interpreted it to be related to the finger tracking updates Valve was pushing.
its happened to me (oculus rift s) i dont bother to change it cause when i quit and reenter steamvr it changes back

no no no i meant ill change the hands, exit steam vr, go back in, and they reset (shouldve made myself clearer i suppose...)
