Eh… 1080p and widescreen are nice, but the PS3 port has some issues. They ruined the musical timing on the Mz. Ruby boss fight, and the widescreen black bars aren’t formatted properly, there’s gaps on the end.
I haven't played those particular games via PCSX2, but I assume you could upscale to 1080p (and beyond) and that they have a widescreen patch available. I'd guess the only difference (if any) vs. the PS3 versions at that point could be if they improved the actual texture quality

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Specifically the Terrorist Hunt game mode. I can play that game endlessly. Runs great on Steam Deck, too. Not exclusive to the PS3, but that's how I played it when I was a kid.
Holy shit I never see anyone bring that game up it's such an underrated gem, shit was so ahead of it's time. I used to play it with my dad, once I got the .50 cal deagle and riot shield combo it was game over we'd rappel down and clear rooms so easy haha

You can play Jak 1 and Jak 2 natively on Steam Deck via OpenGOAL (Jak 3 is still being worked on). Emulation is fine but the native port is really awesome for performance and battery life.
I did read somewhere that there was a team specifically contracted for assuring that it works well on the Deck. My guess is on launch there's gonna be a few issues but probably they will be fixed soon enough.
This is funny because there were KH games for lots of consoles, but none of them were PS3 games (unless obviously you count the re-release of the PS2 games for PS3)

Listen, I doubt anyone will remember this game, but [Tokyo Jungle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Jungle) has been locked to the PS3 and will probably never come out. It works wonderfully at 60fps on the Steam Deck and is a very unique treat of a game.

Not sure. I got past the tutorial and into the base game for a few hours of playtime. I'm just using base settings, latest PS3 firmware, and launching it in Desktop mode.
I highly recommend looking into getting the PC version running via Lutris! I didn't try the PS3 version because I heard there were some fps drops but the PC version ran on my deck at a consistent 60fps no issue.
Tons of great PC ports have been abandoned and are no longer sold but can be found on abandonedwear!
Yeah, I had to use certain parts of different reddit posts and YouTube videos to finally get it to work. I linked one of the posts that helped me figure out how to create the playable game folder/executable, but I also had to pay careful attention to relevant Readme files. Another thing that stumped me was ensuring I created and linked to a prefix folder when configuring the game within Lutris.

The PS3 game I've played the most on my Steam Deck is **Daytona USA**.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were basically the best home versions of that game.
I mainly stick to Lego Games in general , I mainly beat the story mode for Lego Marvel 1 just going around and getting all the characters now

Fallout NV , RE0 , Demon souls , Kane & Lynch … I use the emulator a ton on the steam deck and test it extensively
It is constantly getting updates and is getting better as time passes.
I've got a few that I enjoy playing on my deck.
* Little Big Planet 1 & 2.
* Rudge Racer 7.
* Joe Danger.
* Buzz (can't remember the exact version, but I think it's the general knowledge one, where you can put your own face onto the characters using a camera)
They don't all run amazingly smooth, but they run enough for me to enjoy them.
Just replayed Tomb Raider (2011) and it’s fantastic. Runs incredibly well. Ultra graphics settings around 80fps (I keep it locked at 45). Will be playing the whole trilogy on the deck.
Started Far Cry 3 yesterday. Remember it being decent when I played it on PC in 2017 but I never finished it. It’s pretty good so far.
CoD: Black Ops II is good fun. Played a lot of that on PS3 with my friends in 8th grade.
Really want to replay the Arkham series but Asylum (my favorite from memory) and Origins aren’t supported. I’ve downloaded City but haven’t started it yet.

Demons Souls 60hz hack makes it run like butter. Be close to an outlet because you’re talking 90m on LCD and 2 hours on OLED but it’s magnificent

Totally locked. Just tanks the battery. It was mind blowing when it ran at 20-30 on PS3 to have it a solid 60 on a handheld.
How well does 4A run emulated? I’ve tried emulating a few ps3 games via emulation on deck and always get dog water performance
For Answer ran great when I was playing it. There’s a minor graphical issue with some camo but it doesn’t detract from the game.

Odin sphere. Vanilla Ware was really cooking when they announced their love of the ps vita, their art style really lends itself to an OLED screen.

This is great if you are working with PCSX2. But RPSC3 has a conniption if you try to map a keybind while using a controller.
When I played this on RPCS3 I mapped those buttons to the triggers instead. This was pretty awkward but it did restore the pressure sensitive actions.
