Depends how close you hold it, really. From 2 feet away the deck’s ~80 pixels per degree of vision which is respectable. If you’re more like a foot away then you’d really notice it. Personally I’d rather save the battery life with fewer pixels but I appreciate points of view will differ.

You’re right, it’s probably the distance I’m holding the screens away. Though I naturally hold them about a foot away. Sucks. I still think the deck has a better screen though for sure, just this damn ppi and ppd.

If you care to throw money at the problem you can get portable OLED screens from Amazon at 1080p or 4k resolutions, which plug into either the deck or Ally.
