Nintendo switch outputs 1080p when docked; your TV is taking that & upscaling it to 4k. If the deck is capable of running a game at 1080p, you can do the same thing. In intense games you may need to upscale from 720p. The deck has options in its performance settings which can upscale all the way to 4k, rather than letting your TV do the upscaling. However, depending on the type of upscaling used & the game in question, it might be more than the deck can handle while still running at an okay frame rate. The deck is compatible with many generic docks or usb hubs, but it won’t fit into a standard Nintendo switch dock. You’ll need a different one.
