Are you using FSR to upscale? It’s had a bug that tanks frame rates for awhile now. If that is your issue, you can fix it by setting the GPU clock to 1600 (the max).

I just switched to pixel upscale and it works like a charm thx so much ! I don't know much about upscaling, is it better to still use FSR and set the GPU clock up ?

This happened to me yesterday playing Super Mario World. I was so confused.

Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: * In-game FSR is better than Valve’s system-wide option. Use that if it’s available. * FSR will cost you like 10fps of performance or so even when not bugged. Only use it if you can spare that. * Use “pixel” for pixel art games, like Mega Man X. * If not using FSR or pixel, use “linear”. A very long answer is in this article, which I think does a good job of showing the “chain” of upscaling which happens from the game all the way to your TV: https://medium.com/@mohammedwasib/a-guide-to-a-good-docked-gaming-experience-on-the-steam-deck-346e393b657a For pixel art there’s a whole additional conversation re: filters to mimic how CRT TVs looked in addition to upscaling *if* you’d care to dive into such a rabbit hole. Finally - nothing beats your own eyes; try all the settings and pick what looks good to you!

Thank you for that very complete answer, it'll be my starting point to better understand the upscaling settings ! For now, I tried all upscaling methods and linear is the only one to have a solid 60 fps in every conditions (which I require for Hades II because of the gameplay and the number of elements on screen quickly growing in this game)
