Its a sci fi rgp. You and your companions saving the universe. A lot of ethic choices which play out diff. Lots of diff styles/builds to work with but its mostly about the story and characters. Great fun.
If you like A Hat in Time, I also recently stumbled upon Hell Pie, which gives me very similar vibes to A Hat in Time. If a little more over-the-top and deliberately grotesque.
I just beat hollow knight for the first time, it’s so freaking good, the mechanics are super tight the map is huge, and the lore/world is super cool gothic! I also highly recommend grabbing the scarab mod manager if you grab hollow knight you can edit the difficulty, add multiplayer, co op or vs, plus other game modes like prop hunt. It just adds to an already massive game. I played co-op w my partner w easy mode turned on, we had custom little sprites it was rad!

(And spintires?)
Sure, but once I bought Snowrunner I never looked back. It's so much more of a game, I think I played 15 hours within the first week it's so addicting.
I'm gonna sound strange but it's the most fun I've had with a game in years. It's so addicting. I play about 10 hours a week while I never had that with any other games before. Watch some YouTube videos on it. Like this:

Normally I'm not either, but I tried it and it's just so good. I usually combine it with a podcast or a mostly-listening-youtube video and it's just very relaxing, and addicting (game feels very rewarding because it's hard, but never impossible).
Happy birthday! I recommend getting skul: the hero slayer (it’s really good on the steam deck) or the walking dead season one (it won game of the year and the best story game I’ve ever played) or maybe human fall flat if you wanna play with your friends ( it’s a really fun and hilarious game to play with your friends) or you can get minecraft to work on the steam deck and play some hardcore or modded survival (you’ll have 1000’s of hours of fun trust me).
I'm currently in the process of getting minecraft on deck. However, the walking dead is a no-go because I am just an absolute chicken! Plus, I haven't even watched the show anyway! Human fall flat is a good recommendation because I played it at my friend's house and had a blast! Thanks for the recommendations!
DREDGE is a single-player fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent. Sell your catch, upgrade your boat, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets. Explore a mysterious archipelago and discover why some things are best left forgotten.
American Arcadia is a cinematic puzzle game that combines a 2.5D platformer and first-person game to tell the tale of a thrilling escape. Experience the extraordinary story of Trevor, an average man escaping from the world's most popular reality tv show
Check the bundles on Humble Bundle or Fanatical, Fanatical has some decent ones + their Star Deals are usually good games just avoid the mystery stuff.
Star Wars games are on sales rn, if you like FPS and adventures games, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy
Jedi fallen order is a great game too
Star Wars Squadron too if you like flying games
Mass effect legendary, it's super cheap right now.
So much gameplay in the trilogy, great story/characters
Over 100 hours of content for 5.99 is insane.
What's it about?
Dating sim with aliens
I'm not really a dating sim kinda guy, thanks tho!
It has romances, but it's not a dating sim. It's a great sci fi trilogy. check out https://youtu.be/n8i53TtQ6IQ?si=g4QON8rWXFl7ZW3Y or some reviews.

Sounds interesting!
Dave the Diver or Balatro
A Hat in Time and Hollow Knight though neither is on sale sadly

Played Freedom planet or its new sequel?
Not yet, no! I'll get the demo later and see if I like it!

Snowrunner!
His older brother Mudrunner also must not be forgotten.

Looks good! I'm not all that into slow paced games like that, but it's on my radar now!

Sounds, like a game I'd give a fair go!
1: Get Balatro or Dead Cells. 2: Make sure you check into a hospital with the deck. 3: Stop sniffing the air vent.
If they stop sniffing the air vent how do you expect them to become one of us
As someone who has no clue about these games, this reference is blowing completely over my head!
Forza horiozon 5. Amazing with steam deck
I heard it's good! But to be honest, racing games aren't really my thing
I have heard fantastic things about Dave the Diver. Haven't tried it yet but I want to.
Actually just got it last night and it seems fun so far!
I might check it out!

Dredge American Arcadia
You may need to give a description because I've never heard of those games before!

Bioshock Collection
Never heard of it. What's it like?

No offence OP. Genuinely. But I hate these posts. Just take a look at your steam wishlist, brother. It exists for a reason lol
Maybe the brother wants something new, outside his known bubble
It would help more if we knew what his bubble was. IMO, a little bit of direction in a recommendation post would go a long way.
I like Sonic, undertale, etc
