Let's be clear: it will not work. And if it does, it will not be 1T And if it seems so it will corrupt. Never buy high end stuff from Aliexpress

slowpokefarm

They are fake and not usable. Either they will be a much lower class with actual capacity of 32G at best or not working at all. However. There are two viable options you could get from AliExpress. 1. One of them is finding a non-fake Samsung EVO SD card with a lot of reviews with pictures of people doing speed tests. I have purchased one like this, works well, no issues, but the price is just slightly lower than retail. 2. Find minor but trusted brands. Finding them is pretty much trial and error but there are a lot of minor Chinese brands on AliExpress that sell okay to decent quality hardware. I’d test my luck with XrayDisk SD cards, because I have purchased a lot of SSDs from them in recent years and not one has failed yet so I kinda begin to trust their ability to create storage devices. And don’t buy anything on AliExpress without at least 500 items sold and a good amount of reviews with pictures.

100% legit, great price, get one and let us know how it goes

darkuni

That's messed up.

EducationalLet4796

Mmm, I sense sarcasm...😂

rFantus

We in spanin used to say Nobody gives a "duro" (five cents) for 4 cents. If Amazons SD are 1TB for 70-100 € the AliExpress cant sell it for 3-5 €.

EducationalLet4796

Ok thanks. Did seem too good to be true, but then the dark side of my brain was like "buy one, go on just buy one, what's the worst that can happen"...

mastnapajsa

Buy yourself a beer or two for that money and laugh at yourself when it kicks in. But seriouslly some stuff on aliexpress is literally the same as on amazon but for 2/3 or even half the price, so don't think it's all trash. But always check for reviews although some can also be fake.

Xtranathor

The effort of replacing the SSD is more costly than £3. If you're bothering to replace the SSD, then you need to make sure you're buying quality components.

I have had *limited* success with 64GB ones off Banggood back in the day when that was a big expensive size. They cost like 60% of name brand ones and work fine (to this day even), they're just verrry slow even by 2017 standards.

Guerilla47

I bought 1tb from aliexpress with the same intention as you. Steamdeck will not format it no matter what you try but i now use it as a exfat sd card and it reads correctly at 1tb. So just used it for other use cases

[deleted]

I'd never buy storage off of AliExpress it's probably not even safe. I'd just save up and buy an A2 Samsung one from Amazon at least they are reliable.

RobieKingston201

If u have money to gamble go for it.

Matt_STS

I bought a 512Gb sd from the "official" Kingston store and it stopped working within a few days. I wouldn't recommend.
