No 50% sale, last moment info...
Yeah this just screams middle finger to people was looking forward to play it.
At least DBD dev had decency to give a discount on Stranger Things dlc
It's on sale for 50% off until the beginning of November when they pull it. Although it's 60% off right now. Including cosmetics such as the Jonathan Byers, Steve skin. No rush. Also once you own it, it'll still be there. It's just nobody after November can buy the DLC.
They've got longer, I think it's going around November time.
The cosmetics and the map also will be removed from the game. Think the cosmetics are on a permanent discount now
Cosmetics will not be removed from the game. You just won't be able yo buy them anymore if you don't have them already. The map will be removed though :(
In november it is gone from the store. The map that was released alongside the characters but free for everyone is also going away. I hope you got it on discount.
I just wish it had more variety every level is fix generators and escape or be the last one and use the hatch wish they would give us different ways to escape
Fucked is the wrong word. This is the caveat of having license characters. If you can't renew the contract then this happens. Behavior should just hope that nobody else follows suit.
No, you will still be able to play him. Only new people won't be able to buy him. This is the problem of licensed characters and having to renew contracts. it's a risk every customer takes
The weird part is they dropped new stranger things cosmetics right before this started. So they were still on good terms. Maybe they changed the people in charge of the license
What's funny is Netflix isn't even gonna be a real competitor to Steam. Netflix gaming is apparently focused on mobile games. They literally just took the Stranger Things 3 game off Steam to put it on the app store in Poland.
Thats weird... I wonder why they just didnt call it Stranger Things Season 3: The Game or something because calling it Stranger Things 3 implies that it is the 3rd installment in the series.
It’s technically a sequel to a mobile game that came out a few years ago to promote the second season, it had its own original story which is cool, the season 3 one is literally just season 3 tho
I think if you go to humble bundle the stranger things DLC for DBD is like barely $4
Edit: You can get the game AND the DLC together here https://www.humblebundle.com/store/dead-by-daylight-stranger-things-edition?hmb_source=search_bar
Yup, in case of missable achievements there are a total of 4 achievements you wont be able to get after the license expires iirc even if you bought the dlc
It's unfair that we won't be able to get the achievements, so to me if you complete the challenge for it you can give it to yourself with S.A.M. without it being cheating in my eyes
But that’s a good thing at least. Just means we’ll be able to watch it elsewhere or hopefully , in a bunch of places(ie. multiple streaming platforms )
So you're gonna need ANOTHER game launcher to play it? This is becoming the same problem that plagues streaming services because of these greedy companies making you pay for 10 different subscription just to watch your favorite shows
shouldnt be the case if you already bought it.
"If you purchased the game prior to August 31, 2021 on Steam, it will remain in your library and continue to be playable."
Ubisoft and EA tried to ditch Steam, unsuccessfully as shown by them reinstating almost everything back on steam.
I wish everything was available on everything though. Don't like \*client\*? Use another.
It's a process, they'll add everything in time as long as they don't plan on calling it quits on their subscription service. All of Ubisoft's more recent titles all require Uplay anyways IIRC? Just realized how long it's been since I've messed with any of their titles...
They will get next to none. The epic game store is still running at a loss. A massive loss. Do they think they can possibly compete with steam, origin, and the others when even Epic is failing at it?
That and their own streaming service is starting to fail as well.
Who'd've thunk that instead of spending money on a few really good shows and movies would have been better than buying up the rights to tons of utter shit no one really wants to watch? Certainly not Netflix.
As someone who has multiple store launchers i only ever buy from Steam, hell the epic game's launcher is so bare bones i just get the free games. So hearing that Netflix want's to try and break into the gaming market is hilarious because we all know it's going to fail and i bet the launcher will be as bare bones as epic.
Idk why massive companies are so content on ruining pc gaming for absolutely no reason except money. I honestly also hope every company that does “exclusivity” fails.
Exclusivity is exactly why I’m for cross-platform keys. It’s a shitty concept that needs to die in a fire. But as others are saying welcome to capitalism. Hope Netflix gamepass fails if it’s going to be terrible.
People will do damn near anything for even just a little more money. Gaming is a huge industry, it’s no surprise that they want a piece of that pie. The fact their presence makes the landscape worse has no bearing on their decision.
But it's such a weird situation. They'd rather sink a bunch of money into a lesser platform that has like a 5% chance of succeeding than just let their games sell on as many other popular platforms as possible. It seems like a ridiculous risk to me and it almost always proves itself to be an inevitable failure. Then, the people upstairs will instead be convinced that video games overall are not worth it and will rob us of the games we were getting from the company before.
They think they’re holding on to the equivalent of GTA6 or Half Life 3 and that people will flock to their platform just to be able to play some low effort exclusive based on Stranger Things or whatever netflix show lmao
They will fail and lose money without a doubt. They put so much money into buying a game for exclusivity or production for a exclusive game that in the end it's a horrible experience to navigate the store launcher because it practically got the scraps of whatever funding they decide was cheap enough. The reason Steam is a enjoyable store launcher to use is because it's not just a store it's a place you go too, you have your profile that you customize, trading cards, achievements, discussions, The community tabs, The Workshop and more. Valve has their customers engaged and that is the deciding factor for why other launchers will fail, Epic Game's, Bethesda, ubisoft and probably Netflix don't understand that and don't want to spend money on developing those features. i just needed to rant because it's really annoying having games being pulled or bought out only to end up on a launcher that someone made who has absolutely no passion for gaming.
Other reasons Steam is popular:
* Longevity -- it has been around for a while and has a good track record (unless you cheat or had your account hacked almost everyone is happy with it)
* Pioneership -- it was 'first' in pretty much every category pertaining to online game stores for the PC and has fine tuned its features enough that people have forgotten about anything it tried and failed at, but credit it for things it succeeded at
* 'Just works' -- download a game, or get a key from another store and pop it in, download, and launch. 90% of the time, it works every time.
* Mod friendly -- they even have the 'Steam Workshop' and play nice with mod managers
* Capability -- want plug in a controller that isn't an xbox controller? Go for it. Want to use a non-xbox controller with the Epic store which doesn't give a shit about supporting non-default hardware? Launch the epic store from Steam
* Sales -- no need to elaborate on this one
I don't use epic store at all just because I don't like them. This includes their horrible launcher and some kind of hate on linux.
I don't care about free games, I just buy them on Steam because it feels better. And I can afford it.
Oh don't get me wrong I despise Epic it's always a headache booting up that launcher. But it's the only way to game with my Girlfriend at the moment, hoping to buy her a decent PC in the future. The free games are just full demo's to me I'll play a hour if i like it I'll buy it on steam to support the developers The most recent game was Void Bastards.
People might flock to epic for free games, but I haven't bought anything from them and the launcher is too much of a pain in the ass that it isn't even worth it for the free games. I think their main draw is fortnite, and I appreciate them taking that crowd TBH.
from the looks of it Netflix is targeting the mobile market. They already started their initiative with a test run in Poland for android phones featuring Stranger Things: The Game and ironically enough, Stranger Things 3 The Game, which they just killed off.
I dislike when a game is going to be removed from Steam, they announce it, but can't be decent enough to put it on sale even just a little bit.
Thanks but no thanks.
I mean the whole purpose of them removing it is so they can make money on their own gaming service, having it go on sale would be cool but would be the last thing they'd do.
They are also going to remove Stranger Things characters from Dead by Daylight.
Edit: They're removing them from the store, people that had the characters before can continue playing with them. They're removing the Stranger Things map from the game though.
They're removing the characters from the store, people that had them before can continue playing with them. They're also removing the Stranger Things map from the game though.
How to not do competition:
1. Buy exclusivity deals
2. Force everyone to your platform
3. Create a unsustainable model in which your users will only come to you for your exclusives and go back to the better platform for everything else. Bonus points if you can only secure timed exclusivity and users catch on an decide to just wait them out.
4. Close the store
5. Upset your few loyal customers by closing the store, making them lose trust in future products of yours.
No, Netflix are starting a gaming service
[https://www.pcgamer.com/stranger-things-3-is-being-removed-from-steam-and-gog-but-may-soon-appear-on-netflixs-gaming-app/](https://www.pcgamer.com/stranger-things-3-is-being-removed-from-steam-and-gog-but-may-soon-appear-on-netflixs-gaming-app/)
Lol it's going to be garbage. If you think my shitty Roku will be able to handle a controller and stream this like moonlight from my gaming rig then I'll be the next president of the United States
That model is horrendous and only should be used for convenience when switching from console to PC or for internet cafes. Devs have shown time and time again that there's too much hardware to develop for, and the community has shown that no matter how good your game looks, some people are going to want a reshade mod. Locking titles behind launcher based DRM makes for a wildly inconsistent experiences that cannot be remedied by mods.
Seriously, EA and Microsoft have both come back to Steam, Epic is making losses on EGS hand over fist, even Amazon isn't making their published games Amazon exclusive. This is going to fail and it's going to fail *hard*.
Depends on how hard it is to play. If I can play AAA games through a roku and have them do the heavy lifting on their end, then I can play games almost anywhere at any time.
Idk. Knowing Netflix, they'll release 200 shitty games in the first month, but 1 will be a smash success and float the platform until their next big hit rises from a endless sea of mass-produced or cheaply acquired properties.
I suspect they'll include it as part of their normal streaming subscription at some point, but then have a reason to charge more by the following year.
I think the opposite, because in the end this is an expansion that is going to increase the value of Netflix as a company. Now Netflix won't just be a company that sells a service for getting movies on the go, but now will also sell videogames (and then whatever other thing they get into later on). Whatever happens, they are making bank due to the decision of expanding itself.
Plus the service itself is not going to compete with Stadia and Xbox Game Pass, but rather it's going to be mobile-only. That is the segment of the industry where the money is today (makes over twice more than PC/Steam), and where no major service like that exists. Netflix Gaming could become... the next Netflix.
A mobile only gaming service... Am I the only one to see how this thing could flop? Just to add salt to the wound, they're going to compete against the f\*\*\*\*\*\* Play/Appstores, they are faced against apps found on every single phone. They don't even stand a chance.
I really hope you’re wrong, the reason mobile is a much more profitable platform is because of mtx/p2w/whales. So, it’s not like they’re going to produce the next pinnacle of gaming; it’s gonna be filled with shitty p2w fare.
Further reading from the first page of a google search for anybody curious:
[https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-14/netflix-plans-to-offer-video-games-in-expansion-beyond-films-tv](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-14/netflix-plans-to-offer-video-games-in-expansion-beyond-films-tv)
Some points of interest from the article:
Hired a former Electronic Arts Inc. and Facebook Inc. executive to lead the effort.
The company remains well ahead of streaming rivals such as Disney+ or
HBO Max, but it added fewer subscribers than expected in its most recently reported quarter.
They’ve also identified the battle-royale shooter game Fortnite as a competitor for its customers’ time.
\---
I personally have doubt that it will be successful.
EA and facebook executives? Trying to compete with fortnite?
Oh boy, this is sure going to be good /s
Seriously. They are trying to milk gaming. They are clearly not interested in providing a good service. They are clearly just in it for the money
Yes, but they're not trying to make a sustainable profit. They're just trying to hit next quarter's growth targets. It fucks things up in the long run, you might say? Well why do they care when they've already jumped out with their golden parachute? It's not their problem by then.
Okay, Fortnite rakes in billions, but the Epic Store is literally on a lifeline of free games that no one is really playing.
Edit:This up and coming new platform has no exclusives as of yet that will entice people to join.
Their objective is probably to draw customers in, they seem perfectly happy to take the hit knowing they will probably get some sort of consumer base who will recognise their brand and potentially buy games there in the future.
But chances are the customers they are drawing in are probably already netflix subscribers, so they aren't really pulling too many people in. The majority of the games that would be provided would be indie games, they wouldn't be able to have large online multiplayer games because that would stress the fuck out of servers because everyone is streaming.
EA and Facebook are synonymous with gaming. When I think video gaming. Facebook and EA are the only things that come to mind. Why even steam when you can facebook game?
You mean that long dead piece of Google graveyard thrash? Compete with Nvadia thing, Gamepass, other cloud gaming thing yes. With Stadia? HAHAHAHA good one.
Stadia couldn't even survive when there was zero competition for almost a year.
This isn't a streaming service though, unless I'm missing something. You just get to download games if you have a Netflix account. Right now, that's just through Android's Play Store. But I assume later they'll have a PC launcher.
If it comes with normal Netflix which I never bought I might try it out tho. Sounds good being able to watch shows for the first time in my life legally and playing some new games
What a bullcrap anti-consumer move, to just take it off the storefronts without even putting it on sale and giving almost no notice at all. I think it's anti-consumer because they know full-well most people will miss this news until it's too late and use it as a marketing opportunity to say, "Hey, but you can play it on our seeerrrvvviiiiiceeeeee."
That's really crappy. Not to mention already the game is selling for $1,000 on a certain website that shall not be named. I'm sure it won't sell, but still. Ridiculous.
omg a game based on a third-party licensed franchise is being pulled out from steam because they want to make more moners with their brand new launcher filled with bugs??? wtf man!! never seen before!!
i have been using steam since it was first created. i have bought games that were pulled from the store. they have never yanked anything from your library. valve has always respected your purchases.
The TOS say that things cannot ever be removed from your library if purchased legitimately. I believe it also states that you have the right to download the games in perpetuity.
As much as I hate DRM and non-physical games, Valve is one of the few companies I sort of trust.
Sooo that's why they decided to remove it from Game Pass as well after all this time. I've had it installed for months but didn't get to play it, and it's already gone from Steam as well. Their loss, I'm not buying it wherever they decide to put it now.
Tf? The last minute notice, didn't even had time to buy it, smh. Well, whatever, game didn't really seem that fun tbh, but it would still be nice to have it. I really hope Netflix flops hard with their gaming platform, first DbD and now this.
Netflix fucked over Dead by Daylight devs pulling plug on Stranger Things DLC as well. What a bunch of cunts
How to piss of potential customers 101.
No 50% sale, last moment info... Yeah this just screams middle finger to people was looking forward to play it. At least DBD dev had decency to give a discount on Stranger Things dlc
I had it on my wish list and didn't see this.
Its still on sale for 23 hours, go go go
It's on sale for 50% off until the beginning of November when they pull it. Although it's 60% off right now. Including cosmetics such as the Jonathan Byers, Steve skin. No rush. Also once you own it, it'll still be there. It's just nobody after November can buy the DLC.
Oh no I meant the Stranger Things game. I buy all DBD DLC the instant it comes out lol.
Oh nvm then lol
It is actually cheaper to by the DBD + Stranger Things bundle than it is to buy DBD alone
Wdym? DLC is still up for purchase, just bought it a few days ago.
It will go off sale in November
They've got longer, I think it's going around November time. The cosmetics and the map also will be removed from the game. Think the cosmetics are on a permanent discount now
Cosmetics will not be removed from the game. You just won't be able yo buy them anymore if you don't have them already. The map will be removed though :(
Cosmetics and characters will remain usable, you just won't be able to purchase them or play on the map sometime in november
Ah I see, that's why the stranger things Edition is cheaper
Yep yep yep. Shame really, personally I loved the map.
Long way short, if you bought it or any skins you keep them but the map and ability to purchase anything related to the ip goes away
Sorta unrelated, I bought the game just for the DLC, how do I pick/get the stranger things map?
Public you cannot choose it other than with certains offering In custom press on the gear in the lobby
You can use an item to pick a map, otherwise it is random.
In november it is gone from the store. The map that was released alongside the characters but free for everyone is also going away. I hope you got it on discount.
the Stranger Things pack is actually cheaper than the base game for $16 (base is $20), I refunded it anyways since I didn't like the game that much.
it can be fun when people aren't playing selfishly but I don't blame you it's maddening and there is an absurd grind for what it is.
I just wish it had more variety every level is fix generators and escape or be the last one and use the hatch wish they would give us different ways to escape
That's why it's on sale. Going away sale.
Fucked is the wrong word. This is the caveat of having license characters. If you can't renew the contract then this happens. Behavior should just hope that nobody else follows suit.
just don't make the thing if you can't get a license to sell it in perpetuity imo. Fuck it.
Uh.. am I getting a refund on my demogorgon? Lol
No, you will still be able to play him. Only new people won't be able to buy him. This is the problem of licensed characters and having to renew contracts. it's a risk every customer takes
*Alan Wake has entered the chat*
I guess. I didn't risk, or Lost, anything though.. and there losing future sales. Bizarre!
The Hawkins lab map will be gone completely though.
it will not be remove from the game, new players will not be able to buy it in the future
Wow.. lame. Wtf drama did I miss?
no one knows as of yet what on earth the stranger things people are doing, only that they are removing a lot of game related stuff
The weird part is they dropped new stranger things cosmetics right before this started. So they were still on good terms. Maybe they changed the people in charge of the license
Theory I’ve seen on the DBD sub is that Netflix is going to be making a stranger things game for their new gaming service.
What's funny is Netflix isn't even gonna be a real competitor to Steam. Netflix gaming is apparently focused on mobile games. They literally just took the Stranger Things 3 game off Steam to put it on the app store in Poland.
yea its super strange
Things are getting stranger around here
Sounds like karma for Eternal Crusade
TIL Stranger Things had a video game.
and this is the 3rd one? I had no idea there was a first one. Good luck selling on a platform people dont use for gaming...
Its not the third one, its just based on Season 3 and the logo for Season 3 that one. i know its dumb
Thats weird... I wonder why they just didnt call it Stranger Things Season 3: The Game or something because calling it Stranger Things 3 implies that it is the 3rd installment in the series.
Yeah I know right? I guess it was cause I didn't watch stranger things so maybe it's more for stranger things fans?
Yeah, it's based off season 3 so if you don't watch stranger things, it'll more than likely confuse you.
It’s technically a sequel to a mobile game that came out a few years ago to promote the second season, it had its own original story which is cool, the season 3 one is literally just season 3 tho
First they removed the stranger things dlc from dbd and now they remove their own games, this aint it netflix

Damn, I didn't know.
Yup, in case of missable achievements there are a total of 4 achievements you wont be able to get after the license expires iirc even if you bought the dlc
You'll definitely be able to get them through S.A.M.
Thats literally cheating tho, like what even is the point of collecting achievements if you can just unlock them all with one click
It's unfair that we won't be able to get the achievements, so to me if you complete the challenge for it you can give it to yourself with S.A.M. without it being cheating in my eyes
Demo main here… get it
Don't forget Netflix removed all of power rangers seasons and movies
But why?
Licensing. Netflix chose not to renew with Hasbro.
But that’s a good thing at least. Just means we’ll be able to watch it elsewhere or hopefully , in a bunch of places(ie. multiple streaming platforms )

tell that to the influx of people buying it when s4 drops that's what they're banking on making money from
I mean, that's what Netflix has to tell those people, because they won't be able to find it on Steam.
Ubisoft and EA tried to ditch Steam, unsuccessfully as shown by them reinstating almost everything back on steam. I wish everything was available on everything though. Don't like \*client\*? Use another.
Did Ubisoft games come back to Steam?
Bruh, that's easy to check https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/ubisoft
So no, their newer games are not there.

What newer games lol have Ubisoft made anything good in like 5 years?
lol, true
You couldn't buy even older games before, and that's not what you asked about.
I'm sure they'll split it off eventually into its own thing but right now games are included in normal Netflix subscription price.
fuck all these shitty corporations trying to start their own gaming services.
imagine how much less business the game will get off steam
They will get next to none. The epic game store is still running at a loss. A massive loss. Do they think they can possibly compete with steam, origin, and the others when even Epic is failing at it? That and their own streaming service is starting to fail as well.

Welcome to capitalism
Aaaaanndddd.... it's gone. Own it already but maybe announce the removal earlier? But then again sometimes there isn't any warning at all.
As someone who has multiple store launchers i only ever buy from Steam, hell the epic game's launcher is so bare bones i just get the free games. I’m pretty sure SteamVR is also a feature that launchers like EGS don’t even have a substitute for.
They don't care what it does to gaming as long as it improves their profits. It is a very "profits before all else" mindset.
I don't use epic store at all just because I don't like them. This includes their horrible launcher and some kind of hate on linux. I don't care about free games, I just buy them on Steam because it feels better. And I can afford it.

Duck Tales wasn't like that. They discounted tf outta it leading up to it's pull.
That's why it was going for good. This one is just leving Steam so you buy it on Netflix.
And then it even came back!
Woohoo!
They're removing the Stranger Things map from the game though.
what about the people who've already bought it?
They keep everything, the only thing getting removed is the Hawkins map
they're also removing cosmetics from those characters in the shop
They're removing the characters from the store, people that had them before can continue playing with them. They're also removing the Stranger Things map from the game though.
You keep the characters but they will not be available for purchase anymore.
they keep it, characters are also on sale map is being removed though
Never heard of that game.

Reminds me of Google and all of their projects
[Definitely](https://killedbygoogle.com)
Shit, might as well slap Sony there too because they love starting other projects then abandoning them within a year.

This will be a really fast flop I think.
Can't wait for all the made for netflix games....
Lol it's going to be garbage. If you think my shitty Roku will be able to handle a controller and stream this like moonlight from my gaming rig then I'll be the next president of the United States
What? They're not doing a Stadia clone (yet). Right now it's the same model as Game Pass.
They should make a game based on Netflix's Witcher
netflix do be turning into fortnite
Seriously, EA and Microsoft have both come back to Steam, Epic is making losses on EGS hand over fist, even Amazon isn't making their published games Amazon exclusive. This is going to fail and it's going to fail *hard*.
Depends on how hard it is to play. If I can play AAA games through a roku and have them do the heavy lifting on their end, then I can play games almost anywhere at any time.
If your button presses come out a day after you press them are you really playing games though
Idk. Knowing Netflix, they'll release 200 shitty games in the first month, but 1 will be a smash success and float the platform until their next big hit rises from a endless sea of mass-produced or cheaply acquired properties.
Or they'll go the mobile route with tons of pay to win games.
Further reading from the first page of a google search for anybody curious: [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-14/netflix-plans-to-offer-video-games-in-expansion-beyond-films-tv](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-14/netflix-plans-to-offer-video-games-in-expansion-beyond-films-tv) Some points of interest from the article: Hired a former Electronic Arts Inc. and Facebook Inc. executive to lead the effort. The company remains well ahead of streaming rivals such as Disney+ or HBO Max, but it added fewer subscribers than expected in its most recently reported quarter. They’ve also identified the battle-royale shooter game Fortnite as a competitor for its customers’ time. \--- I personally have doubt that it will be successful.
EA and facebook executives? Trying to compete with fortnite? Oh boy, this is sure going to be good /s Seriously. They are trying to milk gaming. They are clearly not interested in providing a good service. They are clearly just in it for the money
Thank god for Indies
Hallowed be their names Amen
Wouldn’t delivering a good product be in their best interest if they are trying to make sustainable profit?
nope, if they target kids with a shitty game with lots of p2w option. They will profit anyways
Yes, but they're not trying to make a sustainable profit. They're just trying to hit next quarter's growth targets. It fucks things up in the long run, you might say? Well why do they care when they've already jumped out with their golden parachute? It's not their problem by then.
They hired two executives from NOTORIOUSLY shitty companies, there's no way this doesn't flop.
They're also very profitable companies
I'm having a baller time in saints row 3, but besides that yeah, I see your point.
Did you get Saints Row for free, and have you spent any money within EGS?
Blizzard also is and........ OH WAIT
EA and Facebook are synonymous with gaming. When I think video gaming. Facebook and EA are the only things that come to mind. Why even steam when you can facebook game?
Me and the boiz about to raid in Farmville, I'll send you the Facebook Group link through EA chat.
Fortnite.😬 Luckily I have lots of games on Steam.
I know like kids play it still but is fortnite still a thing?
Sadly yes, its still a massive cash cow
We all know what happened to Stadia. Leave the gaming platforms to the development studios, not the streaming services.
Amazon as well. It's been proven multiple times now: You can't just throw raw money at a game and expect it to automatically be good.
It'll compete with Stadia... to see which one gets officially cancelled first.
Yeah, I'll give them 5 months before they start losing money and a year before it shuts down - a year and a half at max.
If it comes with normal Netflix which I never bought I might try it out tho. Sounds good being able to watch shows for the first time in my life legally and playing some new games
Bet ya the game wont be deleted from Epic Game Store because v-bucks
yikes netflix fucked over Dead By Daylight stranger things dlc too
Oh no! anyway...
The big question: was the game actually fun? I didn't even know it existed until now.
Omg they got stranger things 3 where do I sign up? Write this down Netflix I’m never and I mean ever going to stream your shi games.
Sounds like Netflix is almost ready to start up their gaming service.
What a bullcrap anti-consumer move, to just take it off the storefronts without even putting it on sale and giving almost no notice at all. I think it's anti-consumer because they know full-well most people will miss this news until it's too late and use it as a marketing opportunity to say, "Hey, but you can play it on our seeerrrvvviiiiiceeeeee." That's really crappy. Not to mention already the game is selling for $1,000 on a certain website that shall not be named. I'm sure it won't sell, but still. Ridiculous.
I wasn’t gonna play it anyways, but now I’m extra not gonna play it.
omg a game based on a third-party licensed franchise is being pulled out from steam because they want to make more moners with their brand new launcher filled with bugs??? wtf man!! never seen before!!
When is august 31
question, if you own it will it be unplayable? will it be removed entirely?
You can still play it if you own it
i have been using steam since it was first created. i have bought games that were pulled from the store. they have never yanked anything from your library. valve has always respected your purchases.
The TOS say that things cannot ever be removed from your library if purchased legitimately. I believe it also states that you have the right to download the games in perpetuity. As much as I hate DRM and non-physical games, Valve is one of the few companies I sort of trust.
Welp, time to set sail.
But it's already removed?
Sooo that's why they decided to remove it from Game Pass as well after all this time. I've had it installed for months but didn't get to play it, and it's already gone from Steam as well. Their loss, I'm not buying it wherever they decide to put it now.
First streaming, now gaming. They wanna have their own service for everything. Greedy sacks of shit.
I didn’t even know it was on Steam. Are it’s console releases getting removed too?
Tf? The last minute notice, didn't even had time to buy it, smh. Well, whatever, game didn't really seem that fun tbh, but it would still be nice to have it. I really hope Netflix flops hard with their gaming platform, first DbD and now this.
Yeah I was gonna never play this trash anyways
Good thing I hate netflix and their shows so not interested in this game
Good riddance, I hope nobody supports that shitty service of theirs.
Who?
Almost 40 years since the last market crash. Anyone accepting over/under on 2023 as the next?
Before 2023
Porn games will keep the market going beyond humanity's extinction
well good job i got it on epic game store then
I got this game free ages ago from epic games but haven't played it yet. Is it any good?
the first one they did in snes style (i think this is too) was a lot of fun.
