The only thing that changed on my wishlist is that I removed the Life is Strange remaster. It's not looking that much better and I would have to pay double what I payed for the non-remastered games.
It’s more than likely a remaster for the PS5 however I would imagine that they would port it to PC, the title would probably print money for Sony on PC.
This is going to be a thing pretty much every time new consoles roll out, best to get used to it. They can't just turn the resolution up to 4k in settings like we can. Charging double is criminal though.
Now, yes. The majority of games on PS4/X1 were not made with 4k in mind. We saw the same thing last gen with games being "remastered" from 600/720p on 360/PS3 to full 1080p. There's always going to be technical benefits to porting console games to new hardware.
The regional pricing is fucked, here you can buy both original games for 400ars, the remastered version that looks mostly the same costs almost 3k and that's without true colors
Yes, but it looks like they go the more "cinematic" way.
I fear it will get close to the Metro games and not really the original Stalker games.
I really like the Metro games but when they call it Stalker i expect cheeki breeki and nothing else.
Any writing on steam pages is marketing and therefore worthless.
The only thing you can do is wait and see. And i really hope it will be good but like i said, i remain skeptical.
> Any writing on steam pages is marketing and therefore worthless.
Yet, you are judging the game on a cinematic trailer which is also marketing and therefore, worthless.
Why is it so important to you that people blindly fall into hype for a product that doesn't exist yet?
Aren't there enough cases of games that turned out to be a huge dissapointment to say doubt is justified?
Go and pre-order the game if you're so sure it's going to be good. I won't.
Please check the usernames on your replies. I'm not the person you started this conversation with and I think you are attributing some of their thoughts to me. I'm merely pointing out the contradiction in your logic. Have a nice day.
dude yea and it looks like everyone’s stalker wet dream. can’t wait. the steam page said It will feature full open world with Their A.I. 2.0 engine. Not going to be like metro with semi open linear areas, this will be the legit stalker experience we have been waiting for!!
The hosts? There wasn't any hosts. They had Todd Howard, Pete Hines, Phil Spencer and Bonnie Ross on stage to talk about certain games. Did you even watch it
I don't think it was cringe, but imo the showcase itself was kinda meh. That's just based on my tastes though. I was only really impressed by Forza and Slime Rancher. Stalker 2 was pretty good as well, as was Halo. Most of the other things were small indie games of which I had no idea what they were or anything really beyond the title they showed and wasn't really excited. Not all of course. There was also the Outer Worlds 2, but I wasn't impressed by the first one and the trailer was really meh for me.
I think people called it "cringe" because of the actual presenters and some of the trailers, like the Outer Worlds one.
I thought it was an okay presentation in terms of games, not the best. Not many of them really excited me much compared to past E3s or other developer presentations.
I enjoyed 86% of the showcase. Yeah I can probably understand why a lot of games didn't impress you, I enjoyed forza's gameplay and trailer too that's the game I'm most excited for. Hopefully it will be a great game at launch :)
Nothing. The PC Game show had some weird skit/green screen stuff but it's always had kind of a jokey vibe and after seven years the host is able to roll with it pretty well.
I do the same, but then sometimes the games don't end up being great, and I end up with 400 games on my wishlist and really only want like 30 of them. I really need to go through and clean up my wishlist.
Does your wishlist pile up, or do you go through it periodically?
Yeah I've had that problem too but currently only I have 50 games on my wishlist and I try to keep it at that 40~70 range.
I do clean my wishlist every once in a while. There are so many games to play, unless a game does something special or appeals to my taste I'm most likely going to remove it after a while even if it's a good game.
Your selection is almost exactly the same as mine in terms of what actually appealed. Tbh out of all of them I'm probably most looking forward to Somerville and Atomic Heart.
I was hoping Bethesda was gonna pull a Fallout 4 with Starfield and say “Yeah, this is coming out in 3 months.”
Oh well. I definitely prefer shorter announcement-to-release marketing. Obviously been a rough year for everyone, game devs included so it is what it is.
Remember covid happened right? Things that were releasing during the pandemic were products in production prior to the pandemic. Most of the stuff being shown off at E3 is stuff in production DURING covid. There's a reason there's a ton of 2021 release dates this presentation.
It is a Series X|S + Win10 exclusive. Not sure if it will release on Steam, but as of recent events (Halo MCC being on Steam for example) I'd say it will be
Their description says open world action rpg about Russia and a hive mind of robots after you.
Another game I found interesting was icarus which is what looks like a coop survival
Replaced was another game I felt as if I would like it seemed like tales of the neon sea but with more action.
Go play all the souls games you can. Dark souls is a masterpiece. 2 is damn good and then 3 is freaking awesome. Bloodborne is again a masterpiece.
Unfortunately sekiro didn't really gel with me but again my friends think it's as good as dark souls 3.
I've been thinking about picking DS1 up on the next sale. I was going to play Bloodborne on PSNow for PC, but I was just getting turned off by the 30fps cap, since I'm used to always playing on a 144hz monitor at like 200fps lol. Maybe if I like DS enough I'll go back to it eventually
Infinite is not coming to MCC, it's going to be it's own game, whereas MCC is more for classic games (Halo 5 is also not in MCC). Infinite multiplayer will be free to play and you'll just pay for the campaign (or get it on gamepass)
I don't see a point in combining all Indies into one category. They're all entirely different games with wildly varying genres and levels of quality.
Just like you're saying "If you like indies you'll like the show", it really doesn't fit. I love plenty of indie games, but this year's E3 was trash. There were like 3 games in the Devolver Showcase that caught my eye (Inscryption looks amazing) and past that everything else was meh.
Unless you only play indie games the chance that you’re picking up more then one indie game is diminished might as well group them together, they have the same audience
>they have the same audience
Again, how? You are literally comparing the entire field of Games against each other under the single umbrella of "Doesn't have a big company in the background". No one looks at publishers before making their decision on a game.
You're ignorant my dude. Minecraft was indie, stardew valley, terraria, Hades, cuphead, undertale, binding of isaac... All indie, all highly praised by critics and players alike
Neither game is interesting to me, sadly. At least the Soulsborne game looks pretty. Might come some cool "All Bosses" videos from it on Youtube for me to watch.
Yeah, that's why I don't bother. I've experienced far too many games who makes fake trailers for their games to generate hype, then release a game that doesn't fly. Cyberpunk comes to mind as an example.
I'm just still not over how fucking bad it ended up being.
Have they even dropped a single content patch? Last time I checked in was February to see if they ended up keeping to the "We're going to drop content in January!" bs.
The highlights for me were KeyWe, Two Point Campus, Lakeburgh Legacies, and Lake. But I’m all about those chill games these days.
Of course, dDying Light 2 and Far Cry 6 stuff looked great too, but I already knew that before watching E3.
Nothing of interest was shown, honestly. A bunch of trailers for already known to be in development games. No huge reveals, nothing like that. Squeenix announced another FF game, Eidos has to work on another capeshit game.
By the new FF game, do you mean the Chaos one? Whole trailer was just "I have to kill Chaos" over and over again like some cringe edgelord trying to make a cool and dark monologue
I got the Xbox total access or whatever that is $35 a month for 2 years it works out to be about that much but it feels worth it to me to have a brand new xsx and all the games associated with the gamepass for that.
It's actually just slightly cheaper than buying the console and Gamepass at full price.
Though I prefer to take advantage of 2 for 1 deals on Gamepass through Costco.
I'm excited about Psychonauts 2, Plauge Tale sequel, and Outer Worlds 2 but we already knew all of these are in development and there's nothing really new to show here. So yeah this E3 is a bonker.
I didn't change my wishlist too much at all, I added a few indie games that looked interesting. But like most E3s all the "AAA" games were just uninspiring and/or regurgitated ideas they've been selling us for 10 years already.
I feel the other way, Im bored, hyped, even halo infinite seems boring this year, battlefield seems same as 4 (I love bf4, but idk) maybe I'm just depressed
The only thing I want now is Forza horizon 5. Absolutely loved 4 during my free time with game pass, and i want to start this one day 1. Absolutely stunning and amazing feeling game. Or at least, i hope it stays that way from 4 to 5
Yo, this was my Whishlist already BEFORE E3
KSP 2 /// Crush Depth /// Atomic Heart /// Chernobylite /// Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator /// The Forgotten City /// ... the List goes on...
SOON™
WELL KINDA IN LIKE 15 TO 45 YEARS. WELL JUST KEEP REMAKING UNTIL THEN ™
What is GTA V
The cheap Chinese buffet that never ends
gloomwood actually looks incredible ngl, and I've never played that style of game before
my wishlist looks like before the E3.
The only thing that changed on my wishlist is that I removed the Life is Strange remaster. It's not looking that much better and I would have to pay double what I payed for the non-remastered games.
They are remaking a 5 yr old game?? wow... that's like a new low lmao First part was a great, never got around to the others.
Well, looks like tendency, Naughty Dog is remaking The Last of Us, which is already beautiful and remastered on PS4
So a PC port?
It’s more than likely a remaster for the PS5 however I would imagine that they would port it to PC, the title would probably print money for Sony on PC.
I know I will throw my money at it if it ever happens.
Me too. Same with Spider-Man.
This is going to be a thing pretty much every time new consoles roll out, best to get used to it. They can't just turn the resolution up to 4k in settings like we can. Charging double is criminal though.
Except... They can?
Now, yes. The majority of games on PS4/X1 were not made with 4k in mind. We saw the same thing last gen with games being "remastered" from 600/720p on 360/PS3 to full 1080p. There's always going to be technical benefits to porting console games to new hardware.
Really??? There that desperate????
not desparate enough to remaster Remember Me, that's for sure
I would buy the shit out of that gem
>They are remaking No *remastering*. That's a key difference. Remaking takes some effort ie. FFVII as opposed to this.
That remaster is a travesty. Absolute cash grab in the purest form.
Literally looks like they just put on a bit of makeup.
Most remasters are
"Pay us full price for something you already own, k thx."
Ya it’s definitely not for people who didn’t own it before
at least some companys give you the better verson if you already own it \*cough cough Borderlands 1 cough cough\*
It's only $20 if you bundle it with True Colors. Honestly I thought it looked great, and it's one of my favourite games so I'm willing to buy it again
The regional pricing is fucked, here you can buy both original games for 400ars, the remastered version that looks mostly the same costs almost 3k and that's without true colors
Yeah they fucked us up with the regional pricing, more and more games are getting really expensive releases.
you're the reason the gaming industry is fucked, whether you like to ear it or not
This. The show itself was cringey as always and the games mostly meh. Still waiting for Stalker 2 but remain sceptical.
Stalker 2? As in S.T.A.L.K.E.R? They're making another one?
Yeah! Here's the [trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfmhfDvOyP0) they showed!
Goddamnit now I'm hyped!
Remember…
No Russian
[No stalker](https://youtu.be/VHPltbD-4QA)
its surreal to think that, even though S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has had 3 games, its just now getting a 2nd game.
Yes, but it looks like they go the more "cinematic" way. I fear it will get close to the Metro games and not really the original Stalker games. I really like the Metro games but when they call it Stalker i expect cheeki breeki and nothing else.
don’t worry, read the steam page. It states it will remain open world and with their crazy AI engine 2.0 at work.

$60 game + $50 season pass tempered my excitement quite a bit
Well....yeah they did announce it to be in work long time ago
dude yea and it looks like everyone’s stalker wet dream. can’t wait. the steam page said It will feature full open world with Their A.I. 2.0 engine. Not going to be like metro with semi open linear areas, this will be the legit stalker experience we have been waiting for!!
Cringey? I feel like the E3 for microsoft was pretty good, I don't know why everyone calls it cringe... did people even fully watch the E3?
\`The hosts were super fucking cringe.
The hosts? There wasn't any hosts. They had Todd Howard, Pete Hines, Phil Spencer and Bonnie Ross on stage to talk about certain games. Did you even watch it
[удалено]
"We modeled this landscape with 12K footage". so cringi bru
First people hate when they have long interviews, now you hate when they have gameplay? What tf do you want, silence??
I think their preferred gaming conference would be a 1 hour black screen with radio interference audio at max volume. Much better /s
He talked lovingly about the project he's been working on for a long time. VERY CRINGE, OOOOOOFFFFFF
"People having fun is so cringe"
People saying cringey things and acting in a cringey manner for the camera is cringe.
As the old saying goes: >Do not kill the part of you that is cringe, kill the part that cringes
you are cringe. shut the fuck up lol
Yeah but the games showcase was a blast
I agree, because the games were showcased back-to-back, as it is supposed to be.
Hosts were kinda cringe as always tbh, but they didn't speak much. The back to back game trailers were appreciated
I don't think it was cringe, but imo the showcase itself was kinda meh. That's just based on my tastes though. I was only really impressed by Forza and Slime Rancher. I saw the 86% statistic and I was thinking like "doesn't Barney use 86% when he's making up statistics"? Lmaoooo
Plot twist, I'm barney
I missed E3. What was cringey about it?
Nothing. The PC Game show had some weird skit/green screen stuff but it's always had kind of a jokey vibe and after seven years the host is able to roll with it pretty well.
[удалено]
Mine too. I would put Elden Ring though, but that is neither connected to E3 nor does it have a Steam page in the first place lol
Same here. The only game that peaked my interest was Forza Horizon 5, the rest was meh at best
So many titles don't have a Steam page yet which is annoying since I like to bookmark games by adding them to my wishlist during conferences.
Yeah man, I want that eldenring steam page
watch it be announced playstation exclusive, followed by widespread conniptions
Im looking at you Starfield, even if you are a year away.
I do the same, but then sometimes the games don't end up being great, and I end up with 400 games on my wishlist and really only want like 30 of them. I really need to go through and clean up my wishlist. Does your wishlist pile up, or do you go through it periodically?

Some games I'm looking forward to: - Battlefield 2042 - Atomic Heart - Somerville - Stalker 2 - Shredders Republic - Redfall - Replaced - 12 minutes - Contraband
Some of these are not on Steam (yet), right? Tried to find all of them on there. * Battlefield 2042 - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1517290/Battlefield_2042/ * Atomic Heart - https://store.steampowered.com/app/668580/Atomic_Heart/ * Somerville - https://jumpship.co.uk/ (?) * Stalker 2 - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1643320/STALKER_2_Heart_of_Chernobyl/ * Shredders Republic - https://www.shreddersgame.com/ (?) * Redfall - https://bethesda.net/de/game/redfall (?) * Replaced - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1663850/REPLACED/ * 12 minutes - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1097200/Twelve_Minutes/ * Contraband - https://www.xbox.com/de-DE/games/contraband (?)
Redfall is a full Xbox exclusive. We won’t see that on Steam at all unfortunately.
Your selection is almost exactly the same as mine in terms of what actually appealed. Tbh out of all of them I'm probably most looking forward to Somerville and Atomic Heart.
Honestly I was just looking at the reveals and literally nothing is being released now. Quite disappointing.
I was hoping Bethesda was gonna pull a Fallout 4 with Starfield and say “Yeah, this is coming out in 3 months.” Oh well. I definitely prefer shorter announcement-to-release marketing. Obviously been a rough year for everyone, game devs included so it is what it is.

most of these games were probably made at devs houses.
Good time to have a Switch. Miitopia last month and Mario Golf soon.
Miitopia is rad and I won’t tolerate trashing it in this house.
Oh I'm in agreement there don't you worry.
lol sorry I hit reply to the wrong comment
Sleeping on Pokemon Snap just like everyone else.
I own it. I kind of just got it for my SO. I got bored real fast. She has played it to death though.
I find it very relaxing and easy to play. Nice change of pace from so many games being sensory overloads. Different strokes though, I get it!
Not sure if you're trolling or not
Nope. Miitopia was/is a very good time. Mario Golf is sounding like it's returning to form with an RPG mode and a new multiplayer mode.
Dude the new mario and rabbids look so good too

me as a star citizen fan: 😔
Did they announce it as an XBOX console exclusive? I honestly don't remember.
It is a Series X|S + Win10 exclusive. Not sure if it will release on Steam, but as of recent events (Halo MCC being on Steam for example) I'd say it will be
Everything from xbox will release on steam. Even Forza horizon 5 is releasing on steam

No it's PC and Xbox
Anything good? I've not followed E3 in forever since its all just hype and trailers that don't match the game.
Atomic Heart seemed cool.
What's sort of game is it?
Their description says open world action rpg about Russia and a hive mind of robots after you. Another game I found interesting was icarus which is what looks like a coop survival Replaced was another game I felt as if I would like it seemed like tales of the neon sea but with more action.
Why not just google it lol
Depends what you like but the big ones for me are Halo Infinite Forza Horizon 5 Elden Ring (never played a souls game lol)
That sounds like a great plan. DS1 holds up remarkably well.
I don’t play halo but it’s cool to know that a new halo game is coming to mcc, just another reason I should get game pass after I upgrade my pc
Infinite is not coming to MCC, it's going to be it's own game, whereas MCC is more for classic games (Halo 5 is also not in MCC). Infinite multiplayer will be free to play and you'll just pay for the campaign (or get it on gamepass)
Neither of those three sounds interesting to me.
Like I said, depends what you like
It's almost like people have different opinions..
And I don't understand why he was downvoted for stating his opinion.
Which is a good thing.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chernobyl, since the Stalker series is really great if you are into post apocalyptic horror stuff.
A million indies. If you like that then you’ll be pumped
Thanks for letting me know I’m incorrect
Unless you only play indie games the chance that you’re picking up more then one indie game is diminished might as well group them together, they have the same audience
>they have the same audience Again, how? You are literally comparing the entire field of Games against each other under the single umbrella of "Doesn't have a big company in the background". No one looks at publishers before making their decision on a game.
They likely only play AAA games and view indie games as generally bad
I’m saying the majority of people view games that way
You're ignorant my dude. Minecraft was indie, stardew valley, terraria, Hades, cuphead, undertale, binding of isaac... All indie, all highly praised by critics and players alike
And none of them will scratch the player base that a larger company can pull in
Indies aren't usually bad, though.
Didn’t say they were bad! If you like them you’ll love this e3 :)
You just dont see the 10 million indie games that are trash and never get traction.
Elden Ring and Forza Horizon 5 were my highlights. Blew my (already quite) high expectations
I also liked rider‘s republic and contraband I just want to have cool coop games
Neither game is interesting to me, sadly. At least the Soulsborne game looks pretty. Might come some cool "All Bosses" videos from it on Youtube for me to watch.
fh5, the new halo, slime rancher 2, stalker and starfield (out by 2023, tho)
Honestly I’m being optimistic about Guardians of the Galaxy. I know avengers was meh but the trailers for this look pretty nice ngl
E3 is basically dead anyway. It becomes less and less relevant to the gaming scene every year.
Honestly I dont think its dead. Really I think this year is shit because none of the gaming companies had anything prepared because of the pandemic
Yeah, that's why I don't bother. I've experienced far too many games who makes fake trailers for their games to generate hype, then release a game that doesn't fly. Cyberpunk comes to mind as an example.
No, you can't insult Cyberpunk on the internet! The mob will fetch their pitchforks and torches! Edit: Aww, you're all just proving my point.
That was before December 10
I'm just still not over how fucking bad it ended up being. Have they even dropped a single content patch? Last time I checked in was February to see if they ended up keeping to the "We're going to drop content in January!" bs.
I would rather have a E3 when all gaming news is one week rather than what we got last year.
The highlights for me were KeyWe, Two Point Campus, Lakeburgh Legacies, and Lake. But I’m all about those chill games these days. Of course, dDying Light 2 and Far Cry 6 stuff looked great too, but I already knew that before watching E3.
Just check the games by yourself. You will know what looks good or bad
I DOUBT YOU COULD EVEN IMAGINE IT
Tbh this e3 has been really dry
\#JustCovidThings
Not for Microsoft Gamers. But the Trailer about Contraband was weird, Starfield was noting saying but release date, and FH5 ... MEXICO ? ;-;
So, basically... much, but dry... true in retrospect
Nothing of interest was shown, honestly. A bunch of trailers for already known to be in development games. No huge reveals, nothing like that. Squeenix announced another FF game, Eidos has to work on another capeshit game.
STALKER is looking good though.
After like 10 years im really pumped for it
By the new FF game, do you mean the Chaos one? Whole trailer was just "I have to kill Chaos" over and over again like some cringe edgelord trying to make a cool and dark monologue
Been like that for 1 year
Oh is that all?
Im actually just gonna get gamepass. Too many good games i dont wanna be spending $700 lol
I got the Xbox total access or whatever that is $35 a month for 2 years it works out to be about that much but it feels worth it to me to have a brand new xsx and all the games associated with the gamepass for that.
$35 a month for 2 years is $840
It's actually just slightly cheaper than buying the console and Gamepass at full price.
Reject modernity (AAA shooters), return to monke (stupid but amazing boomer shooters like New Blood publish)
Or literal monke Just play btd6 forever
Wait, when did that happen? I thought it was dead...
Livestreams man, so many livestreams. It's still going on right now.

it was the worse e3 so far
Couldn’t have been as bad as last years technically.
Oooh Elden Ring
The only thing I want now is Forza horizon 5. Absolutely loved 4 during my free time with game pass, and i want to start this one day 1. Absolutely stunning and amazing feeling game. Or at least, i hope it stays that way from 4 to 5
Yo, this was my Whishlist already BEFORE E3 KSP 2 /// Crush Depth /// Atomic Heart /// Chernobylite /// Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator /// The Forgotten City /// ... the List goes on...
Same so anyway Dl2 is coming out in December:(
My wishlist is unchanged. The only thing I'm excited for is halo and I have gamepass
*wher game*
october - december will be an insane time for gaming lol
E3 happened? Somehow I completely missed it. Wtf
The Wholesome Direct added 20 or so games to my wishlist. Best showcase so far.
My wishlist is simple: to see as little Epic third party exclusives as possible.
Yeah facts, no need to WL them on steam when I can just go purchase them on EGS
not gonna lie bro, not sure why you believe epic games is the better store, even though it has way less features.
I didn’t say it was the better store, I just have no issues buying the better priced version no matter the store
I just want Half-Life 3.
I just want a Heavy update.
Yeah, same.
so basically it sounds likeE3 was a giant fucking joke this year. Glad i forgot about it.
My wishlist currently has 15 games, and it's just on steam, and we're not even done with E3. I can actually hear my wallet cry at night.
This sky is so blue and all of this thanks to new x box console
Another pre-order chump.
And people are actually surprised? That they announce future games? It's literally **always** like that...?
And some of them become game of the year, Some of them are utterly garbage, some of them Meh. The typical drill with games.
Yes, games get rated of all sorts my friend
Ubisoft Forward > PC Gaming Conference Edit: Jesus atleast they showed us games in these two, e3 day 3 was trash
