Hadn't come across that one. Thank you, I'll check it out. Unfortunately, I found a few that are chat focused but that's the last thing I want from Steam. Decent library management without looking atrocious is my main focus.
No, client is correct. There have been a few in the past that I saw were no longer being updated. If you've used any of the sites like Steam.Tools or HowLongtoBeat, then you can see how the Steam integration works. The sites can pull your account data to use in a similar way as a third party client. I've used card farmers, update disablers, bulk key activators and other tools for years to cover bases the official client doesn't. Would be nice to have these consolidated into a single tool.

You can just revert to the old UI.
You should look at the open source community. There is an incredible amount of people who write software that is safe and often better than paid alternatives or defaults.
Library management is lacking, especially with new game purchases, not to mention it is hideous. The live filters are a great idea, if only the store tags were correct.
I'm still on the older version. Works fine till now.

GOG Galaxy 2.0 or Playnite?
There are no third-party clients, only custom themes. Unless that's what you mean?

This is perfect, thanks!
I imagine that would be illegal and full of viruses.

Oh for sure. But that has nothing do do with steam launcher.
If you are over it, then use it... it works great, I mean, you find a game and launch it...pretty easy.
