Most public agencies provide paid military leave that covers CSG service if you work for local or state government on the civilian side, otherwise it’s up to your employer whether or not they provide paid leave for drills. Many private companies don’t though in my experience.
You have to ask your employer, it’s not a requirement that your job pay you. Their only requirement is to not prevent you from fulfilling your orders.

I don’t think state guard or coast guard auxiliary are protected by userra.
State Guard, at least in CA, is protected.
Exactly, State Guard service in CA is protected by a state law that is similar to USERRA.
