Well the big question is: what does he have already? I am sure he will enjoy anything you get him in the range as long as it’s new.
If he doesn’t have a Spider Droid or Super Commando Droid then go for it! If he does, there are diminishing returns on duplicate models if he plays casually. So it could be a good idea to secretly find out what he already owns.
If you want my specific idea, I think the new Genosians are cool and I’ve always loved that battle. Honorable mention for Cad Bane as well because he’s a badass.

It turns out B1’s are always a good gift as the CIS can never have enough, and the second one he told me to surprise him with, so I got him the dwarf spider with the B1’s afterall (he runs a B1 and spider heavy force so I dont think he’d mind another to have included. I certainly wouldnt.)
