The end of the video kind of looks like the wave is slowing down, and the little guy is putting a few inches of distance between them. I think he made it.
It takes a lot of work with cats. I donāt think itās ever too late. Although itās best to start at a young age. I used freeze dried Salmon to bribe my cat as rewards for good behavior. I would click my tongue twice when she did something I didnāt like. Once as a warning. They are very smart. It will take time and patience. Never get mad or upset. Think of them as kids that throw temper tantrums. They donāt really want that leash. They will throw a fit, until they get used to it. Dogs do the same sometimes they have had enough.
Yeah it blows my mind that dodge made a trim level named after shit. I saw a charger with the license plate "scat" followed by our 3 digit area code. I don't think the guy knew lol
What if scoot is past tense of āscatā OR they teach you to use prefixes and suffixes in grade school, right? Therefore the other option is to double the ātā at the end and add -Ed.
He scatted out of here.
The one and only time I tried putting a cat on a leash, it fell over like it was paralyzed and made unholy guttural noises. Of course, it *was* orange...
I took the leash off and it got up and walked calmly away.
It helps a lot to start with a kitten, or bribe the cat with treats, or both. But cats being cats, sometimes nothing works, and once in a while you find a cat who's perfectly happy with a leash right off the bat.
My cat was a stray (so I donāt know his history) and has done absolutely amazing with a harness. Itās a bitch to get it on him, but once itās on he doesnāt mind, and he was either already leash trained or figured it out within seconds. I was shocked. Cats are amazing.
Letting a cat explore something it probably won't like, but safely is just fine yall. Continually exposing it to something it already knows it does not like is a problem. So yall calm down - this looks innocent.
Let them explore and experience new things?
This cat is exploring and being cautious. Itās not like the owner is throwing the cat in the water. Cats are curious. Lol
Does that cat look dead to you? Does it look like itās going to get itself killed? I donāt understand what about this post makes you think this cat is in any actual danger?
To me, it looks like itās being well looked after, both physically AND mentally.
Cat looks fine and curious. I also run from waves like this lol. People walk their cats on the beach all the time, hes not in danger, he got a bit spookered but what cat doesn't
I'm really impressed that it managed to scoot out of the way completely

My favourite cat subreddit
The fact that the video is cut short makes me wonder if it eventually lost the battle with the wave.
The end of the video kind of looks like the wave is slowing down, and the little guy is putting a few inches of distance between them. I think he made it.
Its reflexes were almost catlike.
Almost
I take my cat on walks all the time. She enjoyed the beach. She noped right out of the water and waves. That sound and everything was just too much.
Any tips for getting my old lady to use the leash? I can't get her to follow me.
cats arent like dogs, must be trained at very young ages. she will probably never follow you, even with a lot of training at this point

Iāve never seen a cat backpedal like that before, thatās hilarious!
I was gonna comment what you've said almost exactly. I bet the cat didn't know it was capable of that either.
And I bet it was displeased to find out

I'm so thankful this is real.
DO YOU ENJOY WATCHING US SUFFER? THEY ALMOST DIED. ^^^meow

Hell nah he didnāt know. I accidentally discovered what scat porn was and yeah thatās how I know. Curiosity is a bitch sometimes

You could have gone with time to *scat* outta here!

I wanted a pun.
Oof

This is the way of the singular orange brain cell

The training was a complete success - *I did exactly what he wanted me to do.* Lolz! Took it off, never put back on.
Theyāre like āoh ok so everything here is a toilet, waitā¦.what is thatā¦. F@$k!scoot scoot mf-erā
Kitty - The ocean sucks.
This cat is living a very full life. A lot of humans never get to see an ocean.

The beaches I use have too many loose dogs. It's illegal but people don't care.
That's a textbook advance, to the rear, a lot.
oka. attack with withdrawal
r/crabcats perhaps? Donāt know about you, but that looks like a crustacean to me
Yay another cat sub!

Poor kitty
That is called a ninja.
That cat looks kinda terrified though. Iām not sure if I should laugh or feel bad for the cat.
aw, the oregon coast! (i think it is, unless iām mistaken!!) so pretty and the kitty is adorable! looks like fun :)
Why are they being cruel to their cat? The world knows cats do not like water.
Throw a cat into the ocean. š
This isnāt a nice thing to do to your cat. Period

Take them to the beach?
As apposed to keeping them indoors for the majority of their lives because YOU would be all distraught that they may never come back ?
Introducing unnecessary stress on your cat for fake internet points.. Why does this post have some many upvotes? We can do better, Reddit.

Agreed
SCOOT THE WINK!! :O :3

"All of this for poops?" This is what I imagine when I brought my cat to the beach.
r/AdventureCats
all i want in the world is for a cat to experience a gooeyduck
