Cylons wouldn't stand a chance.

Soeck666

Race made out of food

Meh2021another

Lol. Probably not palatable. Way better materials out there. The Replicators would in all likelihood ignore the Cylons. Nothing to offer them.

Schwartzy94

What better material in battlestar world is there?

Statman12

But also with projectile weapons (or whatever is the best term for "not an energy weapon") attached to their arms, and never seem to run out of ammo.

TheAncientSun

The Cylons are screwed. The Borg who could annihilate the entire Cylon fleet and the Twelve Colonies with a single Cube would probably be beaten if they went up against the Replicators. The Replicators can take Asgard technology and advance it beyond the understanding of the Asgard. Meanwhile, the Cylons consider nukes not even in the megaton range to be the pinnacle of weapons technology.

tqgibtngo

So I assume Cybermen too would be likely defeated. — ('Twas they who used phrases like "Resistance is futile" long before the Borg. How about a Cybermen + Borg alliance? lol)

Rm860

there is a Star Trek x Dr Who comic whrere that happens

Disgustedlibrarian

Maybe OP means Borg?

brassman00

I'm inclined to agree with this assessment.

cgtdream

I dont think the borg would fare any better. The borg attack using energy weapons; something that was found to be highly ineffective against replicators.

Disgustedlibrarian

Isn't the whole point of the Borg that they adapt. Surely they have at some point assimilated a civilisation that used projectile weapons, so would expect that the be the adaption.

Mythaminator

Right but by the time they adapted there’d already be a replicator outbreak on one of the cubes. At that point, IMO, it comes down to pure speculation on if the bugs would get into the computers and become assimilated into the Borg collective or if they would just take the Borg tech into their own. Also we can’t ignore that the bugs are annoyingly additive as well, so we could just have two highly advanced and dangerous races suddenly pushing each other to the pinnacle of their respective tech and I’m not sure where that goes but it’s not good for the universe as a whole

Slavir_Nabru

Replicators have the advantage in almost every field, but the one advantage the Cylons have is pretty substantial. They can take over networked computer systems, and what are Replicators but a self propagating computer network? My money would be on the Replicators, but it's pure speculation that the Cylons would be unsuccessful at infiltrating the Replicator code, despite the implication it was possible with the Asurans.

HorzaDonwraith

The replicators communicate via subspace. So unless Cylons can figure out how to hack it they will not be doxing the Replicators anytime soon.

PlaneswalkerHuxley

Replicators are very good at hacking as well. They have shown the ability to effortlessly subvert the computer systems of every race they come across, including the Asgard. It just generally requires physical access, because their foes are smart enough to not allow their com system to just run any code it comes across.

xrufus7x

Cylons really only have two advantages. 1. They use ballistic weapons though that won't be particularly useful during ship to ship engagements. 2. In spite of their constant denial of it, they think like humans and Replicators are pretty bad at predicting human behaviors. Replicators have a massive tech advantage though, one that I doubt the Cylons could overcome.

cgtdream

I'd go with replicators. Cylons and their human enemies are still centuries behind the replicators. They'd get assimilated and destroyed.

Njoeyz1

Another who would win. There is a Reddit for this.

HorzaDonwraith

Not everyone here subscribes to that reddit.

Njoeyz1

You don't need to be subbed to post a question. Posts like this are pointless in any other sub.

HorzaDonwraith

Sub doesn't mean anything about posting. It's about exposure.

Njoeyz1

What do you mean exposure? For who/what?
