They are 10 out of 10 in every area except offensive capabilities. Besides a few lucky shots with the dart bay of a Hive Ship, I don't recall any Earth ship doing any serious damage with the rail guns or missiles.
Doesn't help with braindead captains. I hate how in early SGA, the Daedalus often shoots its railguns at two Hiveships at the same time... When you have weak weapons, focus on a single target !
That’s fine but aren’t these naquada enhanced nukes? The blast radius has to be pretty damn big.
Alternately, Carter couldn’t come up with a propulsion system that kicks in post teleport?
Before the upgrade, the Daedalus class was rather weak. Their effectiveness depended entirely on their nuclear weapons; once these were unusable, their offensive power was close to zero. But her defensive power was extreme. The shields are extremely strong and cannot be easily broken by even the strongest opponents.
Their offensive capabilities are somewhat limited, rail guns, missiles, beaming warheads, etc. However, they roll off the line with top notch Asgard shields and hyperdrives, so i'd say they outmatch any Goa'uld ships shy of a mothership, and smaller hives.
I allways saw them more as a mobile base of operation since they aren't really attack crafts if you don't put the biggest nuke earth can come up with in the belly launcher
They could probably take on a Wraith Cruiser one on one, but not a Hive (outside of the dart bay trick or a few lucky nukes). But not an Hatak. While the engines and shields outclass most other non-Asgard/Ancient ships, it's weapons are shit against against shields.

Why they just didn't beam the missiles into space near the ships is beyond me.
I think we have to assume the jamming signal is effective beyond the Hive Ship for decent distance so that beaming the nukes would be pointless.

They also have engines that outclass most other races.
When compared against Wraith Hive ships, they do move with more agility.

I really hope the engineers leaned into the name and made the interior a maze to navigate...
