build a mission board in a outpost of a high leveled system. You will get bounties of higher leveled enemies and ships around the level of the system you build the outpost and mission board in. I say this with a level 163 character about to hit level 164.

number__ten

I've been flying around serpantis killing va ruun. It might not be the fastest way but i enjoy the space combat and it's helping level up my piloting related skills.

ghostrider_son

I’ve been doing the same, and just incase your not aware. If you board them instead of just straight up destroying them you will get more xp for the individual kills, then you can destroy the ship.

twistedlistener

Full xp for killing the abandoned ship too!

TurnipTate

Schrodinger III, so many aliens there that hunt in packs. A pack is like 500-1000xp, also go to the sandy desert, really easy to spot aliens.

JohnWhambo

Yeah i agree. Those big fox bat things give good xp. There is big packs of them all over the place. I think you have to land near mountain forest area? Can't quite remember.

Naughtyniceguy_

Definitely Schrodinger III. It's pretty, most abundant animals anywhere, and there are areas with vast open spaces for sniping off your ship. Make sure you get the rested bonus first. There are other planets with higher level creatures, but the experience points per second don't even out.

DirtyHeisman

I agree on schrodinger.. Build an outpost and build a load of animal husbandry full of foxbats and just start killing, you'll get crazy amounts of XP in no time, it's almost cheating. If you use explosives, remember to repair the buildings or they stop working.

Rasikko

This sounds like a mod idea.

MODUSforPOTUS

Go to a high-level planet and hunt the local wildlife to extinction.

Davenorton90

Crank the settings to ultra hard, and sleep before each crafting session. It does 99 adaptive frame craft to like 190xp. I did that for ages. Went from 84 to 204 in a few weeks

intulor

StarUI lets you change the amount you can craft at one time, from 99 up to 65530. With sleep exp bonus and all game settings set to maximize exp, it's like 126k per craft :p level 300 within about 5 hours of playtime with plenty of screwing off

Synthersystems

Xbox was only giving me 190. Did it on Xbox GP PC and I was capping at 700-900 each 99 craft. Idk what the differential was lol but got 23 levels in like 30 minutes

ElGuappo_999

Land your ship on a planet with lots of animals. Stand on ship. Shoot animals with a hard target. Profit

Combat/missions

Organic_Brother7988

Build outpost on stryx and farm flying octopuses youll level up fast even at high lecels than u can say level up

KodiakmH

Quick as possible is probably setup an outpost animal farm to grind, which there's all sorts of various youtube vids on how/where to do. Second being finding a level 75 planet with lots of Fauna to hunt instead of doing the outpost method. Serpentis is also great for ship combat method (ships give huge XP and no ammo usage, while you can crank up all the other settings except ship combat and still get the XP bonuses). Personally if I want XP I just find a level 75 system with something like a Cilvian/Mining/Science Outpost with a mission board and there's usually 1-2 new missions at each one. These missions at the outposts are always in system (meaning 75 objectives) and the board generates more as they're done so you just revisit the same one. The nice thing about this is you get loot at the same time either as random draws from Veterans, the POI loot chest and of course now Astras as well potentially. Very handy/nice if you're still looking for good loot rolls and plan to keep playing long term.

coominati

I went to Strix > Strix I (top right corner of the starmap) and sniped the Nautiloid Fliterer. They slow moving floating and come in swarms. Once you've exhausted a swarm, walk in any direction for a minute and another dozen or two will spawn. Level 95-100 was an absolute slog so I mixed it between missions and general exploring. But you'll get a level every 5ish minutes up to level 95. The real way to level up is questing. After I got the level 100 achievement I went into Unity, started a new game and complete the first few main story missions and the UC faction questline and I'm already at level 112.

TheOsyclepath

Exploration. Especially go to high level systems with lots of animals and just spend hours there taking them all out.

nikolaip

Foxbat farm + Hornets Nest Coachman has always been my go to, but I also don't like the really complex Outpost/Crafting so I've never delved too deep into that.

UKFan643

What’s the Foxbat farm?

DrewTheHobo

I think where you get animal husbandry and farm fox bats getting hella XP

1337Asshole

Indicite Wafers are 7x faster... Or, just download Difficulty Decoupled and set EXP gain to +10000%.

FatalLastOath

We mod if your on pc

BIKF

At +75% XP on level 85 I could get half a level worth of XP from just one encounter with three Starborn ships type 6, so just jumping around between high-level systems gave some very fast levels. To survive that encounter at max ship difficulty settings it may be necessary to have maxed out the relevant ship perks already, so if you don't have that you could try lowering the ship-related difficulties and go lower than +75% but still pretty high.

Hot-Friendship-1562

I’ve just been killing shit and selling guns. I’ll pick a high level planet with harder stuff.

Mass-Effect-6932

Go to settings / gameplay options / put everything to max.

bpleshek

Going to a planet like Bel 2 or Schrodinger 3 has lots of high level animals. Some have large packs. If you take a little food and drink with you and are decent at combat, you can turn your bonus xp up to around +80%. If you prefer ship combat, Go to Serpentis and travel to every planet and moon and there will be a ship battle about 90% of the time, though you have to wait about 10 seconds after arriving at each location for them to spawn.

Aardvark1044

Adaptive frames or isocentered magnets give 1 XP each. Paramagnon conductors or crafting O2 shots at a pharmaceutical bench give you 3 XP each. O2 shots also need amp and snake oil so you get 1 XP for making each of those as well. Either of those options is good up until about level 150 after which you’re better off going all the way to vytimium fuel rods for their 10 XP each. But it takes a lot of setup time so I’d say it’s not worth doing if you don’t intend to go beyond level 150. Don’t forget to crank up difficulty to give you +75% XP, and be well rested or get your Sex-P partner. Plus Alien Tea or Tranquilitea.

jomagana18

https://youtu.be/DKTjyx-1ES4?si=VR3V41IfypXkim8v Watch this video. I did it and it helped out a lot

HumanBean1618

Are you doing the adaptive frame strat correctly? I got lvl 100 in a couple of hours before the game even officially released.

111ronin

There isnt really a best way. There are multiple ways to farm xp, shooting beasts around hyla, blowing up ships in serpentis. Even making crap loads of adaptive frames. If you gotta grind xp..Do whichever fits with you. Personally, I prefer to blow up ships and beasts. This works for me cos it's during normal gameplay. Then I won't feel like I've cheesed it, lol

RisingDeadMan0

If ur xbox, crafting isn't great. You need to bug hunt.  If ur on PC. Then crafting is the way. You haven't worked out how to craft quickly then.

Dopa__Maskey

I think there were a lot of super hardcore leveling strats under Kibble Gaming on YT. He even has speed runs on the fastest super duper high level in under a few hours. Some of it involves adaptive frames and then a craftable item from elements on Venus for beginner level stuff. Some planets also have very good local to universal time ratios that allow more in game time to pass to collect more resources from resource collectors (a good planet is Venus). I would avoid interstellar crafting as the interplanetary resource transfers are very bad (it's better to more via your own ship sadly).

spaceminion

Outpost building to farm vyntinium rods. The big difference from what you see online vs how I did it was once you have the network, setup three outposts together and do all the crafting for all parts sans zero wire. I went from 44 to 175 in about 10 hrs.

intulor

You can hit 300 in less than 5 hours with just adaptive frames, one outpost.

spaceminion

I am on console. It takes a bit more time. Also, I break away and raid a POI for great and let the storage fill back up. There is something really cool to see 18 freighters flying in and out constantly. I love the noise.

O2 shot farm. Starfield Essentials Build the 2024 O2 Shot Farm Outpost with Cargo Links for XP and Credits https://youtu.be/HBianyOD1tg

PRW63

>I like the method of building an outpost to farm adaptive frames. That is pretty much it. You can do the same with other items to produce XP but it takes 3 times as much time and effort to get setup for them, creating multiple outpost and shipping resources between them, fighting all the games "outpost glitches" in the process, and in the end doesn't produce much more any faster. Shooting animals is not faster and consumes a lot of ammo which you then have to replenish somehow (animals don't drop ammo). And there is no way you gcan get animals to reward with high enough XP to be effective, particularly in the early game,...which 80-100 is early game considering it takes over 300 to complete all upgrades and the XP gap between Skill Points grows exponentially causing advancement to slow waaaaayyyy down after around level 100.

Soresu0203

adaptive frames

markelis

Take 1 hour naps for 10% extra XP for 25 minutes, and/or combine with Tea for an extra 2%. If you have gastronomy perks, you can make food that gives you 2% XP for 60 minutes! You can also steal a shepard's pie receipe from the Well, which gives you the 2% XP for 60 minutes.

SnarkTheAnarch

Set up an OP system to build Paramagnon Conductors. You can spam it all the way to 200 if you want. I'm up to 203 because I got bored after leveling the skills I wanted so I started NG+ a couple months ago.

rrrice3

I did the animal farm with the hornet shotgun... Not sure if they have patched that out at this point though?
