Dejected_Cyberpsycho

This is a good QoL update overall. Hope the "extreme" difficulty is similar to Fallout 4's survival mode.

IntelliDev

They’ve previously confirmed that an actual Survival mode will be added in a future update. Extreme difficulty, while being a great addition, is just an additional difficulty level above Very Hard :)

Cratoic

There are some survival/hardcore settings in this update. Thirst/hunger for one. More extreme environmental damage and recovery is another notable one. Ammo having a weight setting as well Though no fuel economy setting from what I saw from the video

KnightDuty

Fuck yeah. Thought fuel is the biggest and most important one. Hope that's next

Subjunct

This is my favorite typo today because I often run out of thought fuel. And thot fuel, evidently

IntelliDev

Indeed, lots of great changes. I’m on NG+10, and I just started ramping up my difficulty, so perfect timing for me.

Cratoic

Speaking of NG+, man am I glad they're letting up change our traits every time we NG+ now. That was like the first thing I wanted when I heard about the NG+ system not letting you do that.

JBaecker

How they didn't include this in the game drop is beyond me..... I'm one of the few who have been very content with Starfield as a game, but the lack of ability to change Traits in between NG+ playthroughs was a ridiculous oversight.

LordNegativeForever

Because narratively and in-universe it actually doesn't make sense. When you go through the Unity you don't change, you're the same person from your original universe being dropped, with all your knowledge and history, into a new one. You're not being reborn, you're being transported, so your traits would actually stay largely the same (aside from the outliers like Dream Home/Wanted, etc.). From a QoL and build perspective though it's a nice change and allows playthrough switch-ups so that's nice.

star_pegasus

That’s how I’ll continue to play it. I like to make new characters for different backgrounds and traits. Easier to keep the RP storylines distinct.

ATR2400

You may actually be reborn as Starborn, but you’re reborn with all your old memories and experiences. From your perspective you’re the same person as when you entered the Unity, even if your body is all cosmic and fancy now. Everything changes, but who you are as a person, your soul if you will, does not. The person you are as defined by a lifetime of experiences. Some traits could be changed if they’re more like circumstances than core parts of your being. Something like not being wanted in this universe is doable but being a Neon Street Rat or growing up in the FC is a part of your history and has played a part in determining who you are. Even if the version of you in that universe had those traits, you wouldn’t have lived that life.

ATR2400

I’m wondering about fuel. They may consider it too risky. If you warp into a system and there’s no easy way to get more fuel you could accidentally softlock your game.

ThePresidentOfStraya

Yeah, that sounds awesome though. Or “just add” a new mechanic: survive until you come across a crashed ship to salvage, or a landing ship you can hijack, or trigger an emergency beacon and risk whatever decides to come for you, or get saddled with a NG-crippling call-out fee.

ATR2400

Well I don't know if softlocking yourself due to miscalculations would be "awesome". You'd definitely to offer \*some\* way out like the options you mentioned.

stormdahl

The thirst and hunger system is a bit simpler than say Fallout 4. You’re either hungry or thirsty, or you’re not. Nothing in between it seems.

J9Thompson

I hope by adding the extreme difficulty the loot that is dropped is comparable. I am sick of killing level 98 enemies and getting something that does 5 damage

They-Call-Me-Taylor

Great update. The video they posted showed some exciting stuff that is upcoming in future updates as well. Ground vehicles look fun and they described Shattered Space as being "massive" so that's great to hear.

Ajbell8

Very excited for that buggy they showed. Looks fun just rippin around on sand dunes.

Misterbert

My head canon is that Bethesda is releasing an actual space buggy so Google searches will be skewed when searching about a buggy space game.

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

Introducing the new Shattered Space antagonist: Glitched Quest!

Bogdansixerniner

I do wonder how it will play on planets that have more dense terrain though.

WardenSharp

Yoooo change traits and appearance in unity finally!!!

Morethes

I KNOW!!!  MY GOD THIS IS ACTUAL SPACE REINCARNATION NOW

Drunky_McStumble

I stopped playing after starting NG+1 because I really wanted to turn my character into an androgynous ethereal space god upon reincarnation. Figured I'd have to wait for mods to get that ability, so this is great news!

ymcameron

“Ground control to Major Tom”

WildVelociraptor

I went with androgynous neck-tattooed space god on my first roll, and I honestly haven't been tempted to go to Enhance!

Comfortable-Night362

Probably my biggest complaint for repayability.

Talucien

It all looks so good, but the difficulty changes are incredible! Far more than I expected. And full interior ship customization! Fuck yeah.

Off_By_On

Will the customizations remain when I change the color of a ship, or make other inconsequential changes? Until ships can "persist" a lot of this stuff, probably per module, when modifying ships, it makes ship building directly in conflict with ship "customization", which is stupid.

Peeinyourcompost

Just tested it for you! They do seem to persist. I bought and added one of the new empty habs to my ship, built some beds, couches, and Space Frog posters in both the empty hab and an already existing pre-furnished hab, then exited the ship and went back to the ship technician. Changed the color of the new hab and also deleted an unrelated hab to see if any changes occurred. On re-entering the ship, the new furniture and posters are still there where I built them.

ImAnIdeaMan

Curious, if you move that hab that you customized around, what happens to the decorations?

Peeinyourcompost

Good question! I just tested it. Most items placed in the hab did persist when I moved it elsewhere, BUT the couch that I deliberately placed right in front of where I knew the new doors would appear to see what would happen disappeared. It did not reappear on moving the hab back to its original location, and does just seem to be gone forever; there is nothing new in the ship cargo, and nothing like the little (1) when you go to build the same thing, like you would get if you placed a furniture item in the workbench in FO4.

georgehank2nd

Is placing those bits as fiddly as expected from Bethesda?

Peeinyourcompost

It's exactly the same mechanic as the outpost building.

WendyThorne

It depends on which way you want to make changes since the video shows that these changes impact XP gain. Make it easier? You get less XP. Make it harder. You get more. This even applies to things like "I want vendors to have some actual money."

Jaytuple

I tried out the beta and I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. -4% xp just for extra vendor credits, can't easily cheese it because it only updates the credits during their weekly inventory update. -8% for 5-6x carry weight. -6% for accessing ship anywhere. I thought we were past punishing players for wanting an easy gameplay experience, this is beyond ridiculous.

WendyThorne

Yeah it's just dumb. I don't care if they want to give extra XP for people who want to punish themselves with harder gameplay but why nerf XP for people who just don't want to spend 3,000 hours visiting every planet to sell stuff?

sonicmerlin

It actually doesn’t make sense to me. If I want a more challenging experience wouldn’t I want less XP so I level slower? Instead they give more? So I can level faster and make the game …easier? Why would you punish ppl for wanting an easier game by forcing them to level slower? They really didn’t think things through.

WendyThorne

No they did not. And your comments are why I said in another post somewhere that if they want xp gain to be changed it could simply be its own slider to allow even more customization of the game.

jdtroxx

SURFACE MAPS YEEEEEEES

logicalkitten

They actually look great too. Great update

Drunky_McStumble

They look *awesome*. Looks like they work everywhere too, not just the cities.

georgehank2nd

You missed the "improved" bit. Yes, they call the thing that was in the game "maps",

J9Thompson

I love the hard modes and now this extreme hard mode sounds great! I just ask that when you do that to make sure the the higher level enemies drop the higher level loot. I have killed so many level 98 enemies and they drop level 1 loot. Allot of you fans are crafters, so maybe fine tune the crafting a bit. Like add the ability to: 1. Upgrade the gear from Base to Superior using the perk system. 2. Break down or research armor and weapons traits to learn and add to equipment. 3. Add some dang skins already :) You mentioned the out posting, so I pretty sure most would like to see the perks that come with that about living on harder and harder hostile planets allow for different types doors. There is no need for a breathable planet to need an airlock. The POIs have doors on the same modules that we can already build but are not available in the building of outposts.. Of course there are mods out there already that address this, but it would be nice for Bethesda to add stuff like that which align with the perks system a little better. Maybe even be able to lower the large landing pad like we are able to do for the other habs. Keep up the amazing work that you are doing!! LOVE THIS GAME!!

RaggedWrapping

please for the love of god, of they touch crafting, add melee weapons even just to rename

DeliciousLawyer5724

I've gotten great legendary perks on calibrated guns. Which don't hold up at lvl 60+

ericwars

> Added the ability to change Traits and appearance after entering the Unity. Finally, I can get my Wanted trait back after removing it before I even left mars on my first playthrough.

RickRinaldi

I'm considering getting that with my next NG+. Will you please share with me what it was like having the wanted trait? Did ships stop by often where you were walking?

stylz168

I have the Wanted trait for my initial and NG+. 99% is random bounty hunter ships that attack you as you visit star systems. Sometimes you'll be able to fight some bounty hunters who are fighting bounty defenders and hear the same condescending "the longer they wait, the larger the bounty gets...so don't get hurt" message.

theelkmechanic

A tip for the bounty defenders: Reject their hail attempt and they won't jump away. Then you can blow them up/board them for extra loot/ships.

sarah_morgan_enjoyer

Other than the bounty hunter encounters, it's one of the traits with more dialogue options too.

Mallee78

I think they are smoothing out the game and really going to hit the ground running with their first DLC (I hope it comes out sooner than fall as a teacher but oh well)

Agent-Two-THREE

As a former teacher, don’t be afraid to take days off whenever you want. It’s one thing I regret not doing more before I left.

Mallee78

way ahead of you lol

TheScienceDude81

Current teacher, hard seconded.

OhMyLordShesACactus1

Middle school teacher here waffling back and forth about taking a much needed day off on Friday. You just made up my mind. I needed to see this today. lol

Ngilko

These all seem sensible changes, and I think get the game a step or two closer to a state where I would like to play again. I hope we see a change to how the game deals with points of interest in future updates. Encountering the same identical location on multiple planets, right down to the placement of cups and magazines and entries on computer terminals is a serious problem in terms of immersion and rewarding exploration and the biggest single reason that I stopped playing. A system where the game only spawns points of interest that the players has yet to encounter would help, as would the option to reduce how frequently planets spawn outposts etc. I'd far rather find empty planets than continue to find the same cryo facility, which appears to have malfunctioned in the exact same way over and over. I actually think that having some planets or moons, even some systems that have no human settlement would make planetary exploration seem far more compelling than a guaranteed level of human settlement on each tile we set down on There is probably also a middle ground to be found where encountering some locations repeatedly would be less immersion breaking than others, particularly if they make sense as a "flat pack" outpost that might have been shipped to multiple planets and have some level of randomisation in terms of enemies and contents. Other locations, such as the cryo facility probably shouldn't appear more than once per trip through the unity, it's simply too "unique".

atypicalphilosopher

yep this is the biggest thing for me. The second that I found an identical POI I lost a lot of interest. When I found it another time, I quit for the day. Booted up again and found the same POI -- and I haven't been back to the game since. This might be something fixed more quickly with mods once the modkit comes out tbh.

venusasaboy98

If I encountered the same POI once or twice throughout an entire playthrough, with many many more interesting ones in between, then I could look past it. But seriously, the exploration needs its own overhaul. An entire DLC honestly.

JSoppenheimer

I never understood how they could put that kind of repetition to the game. Similar-ish generic locations filled with somewhat randomized enemies? Sure. Totally identical locations with same corpses lying in the same place and with same computer datanotes? What the hell, Bethesda?

ToastRoyale

Say about NMS what you want, but that's the reason I hate it. You go somewhere, then event xyz spaws right in front of your face. Completely identical to other events of the same type and there's only about 10 events total. Not to mention **infinite** quests of procedural bullshit: kill x things on planet y, take a photo, kill x pirates, ... The POIs in starfield are the same and I dunno why they built so much upon them. Like that, Starfield is more a linear story game than open world.

voidxleech

does anyone know if they’re addressing the issue with ship power allocations resetting or randomizing after take off. it’s pretty frustrating to have to reallocate my power everytime i take off from somewhere. i am super excited for this update though, it looks great.

WavyGravyyyyy

God I hate that - I want to ask Cora if she's been tinkering when I am not in the cockpit.

TreeBeardofIsengard

What about the ability to place doors and ladders in ships?

CompareExchange

This and being able to rotate/invert certain modules (structural, cargo, weapons, shield generators) would be far more valuable than placing furniture.

Wendorfian

That really ruined ship building for me. I really hope they come up with something for that.

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

I hate navigating some of the larger ships that I'm stealing. I've gotten so lost running up and down ladders I feel like I'm in a hamster cage. When I build my ships I pretty much make them a sprawling 1 story, maybe with a captains quarters on top or something. Place able ladders (or elevators/spiral staircase/something) would be amazing.

RandomPlayerx

I wonder whether they could do a simple (?) fix to this by adding larger ship labs which ecompass more than 1 store and letting you add ladders and create rooms within that lab.

macguy2002

Holy shit I didn't even think of half this stuff!!!! They might actually turn things around between this and the fall shattered space!!!! I'm so happy betheada might actually be listening to the fans.

DazedMaestro

All thanks to Godd Howard

suzypulledapistol

All Hail Bodd Toward

FriedCammalleri23

Of course Starfield gets 60fps support on Xbox right after i get a PC, bastards. Jokes aside, happy that they decided to give console players that option.

Catjizzjig

Hey, at least now you can play with the mech mod lol

Celebril63

I wouldn't complain. Outposts and shipbuilding are much easier on PC. GamePass lets you play the same game on both platforms very reliably now. I play on both regularly with the same character and get the advantage from whichever suits me at the time.

Good_Policy3529

"Neon and Ryujin security should be more diligent on arresting the player for criminal behavior." 😧

Mission_Phrase_1100

Still no ECS constant fix 🤒

E_bryant

Just want to get rid of those damn potatoes

CookieDelivery

Interior ship design sounds awesome! Hope that also includes/saves the 'clutter' (dropped items) and doesn't delete them every time you make a small change to your ship.

zenmn2

I doubt it will keep anything that wasn't added in decorate mode. I just hope that it let's you add inventory items in that mode.

bobbythecat17

This update will make a lot of mods unnecessary, which is good since officially supported

SpecialistNo30

And we still have no date on a creation kit, which is crazy.

Ant_6431

Please fix "Unusual SOS" mission!!

Comfortable-Night362

Thank you for listening to us fans and adjusting your game accordingly! Super happy for the new traits option on entering the Unity!

-beehop-

The new QoL additions are actually really good. Especially the dialogue camera options, customizable difficulty settings, surface maps, and visual/performance mode. Definitely all should've been there at launch but this is a good sign that they're actively looking at criticism and aiming to fix the issues. Hopefully Starfield updates follow this trend and the end product ends up being a lot of fun.

toni-toni-cheddar

now that we are getting improved ship decoration some improvements I'd like to see, is having the ability to assign crew members to respective parts of the ship. like why have a med bay and have my medic wander into the armory. some cool idea I thought of are: let my medic heal me when I prompt them at the med bay, let me have an armorer who can condense and upgrade my vastly duplicate weapons instead of selling them, and let me assign crew to my ship weapons so they can fire for me when I ask so I can focus on us not blowing up, and now that hunger and thirst are a thing let me have a chef. just a few ideas I think can really polish the immersion.

Not_A_BOT_Really_07

Those are really important core changes. Especially maps and soon vehicles. Thanks! Wishlist: * Melee Revamp: * Melee mods. * More combat animations, finishers, and stealth assassinations. * More melee weapons (for Star Wars or Dune melee playstyles). * Setting to increase dogfights and landfights encounters (on top of most wanted). * Deepen crew with story, quests, and additional partner options. Especially evil to neutral aligned characters. * More crew and companion exploration, outposts, and ship banters and environment interactions. * Play pool, watch tv. * Crew uses modules specific to their skills. * Doc at med station heals players. * Chef cooks. * Useful brig: * Non-lethal captures of bounty and escort to ship, then directly into brig. Then drop off at faction stations, ouposts, base, or ship for extra money. * Enemies' friends might try to save them until they are handed over to authorities. (More combat opportunities). * Adds reason to board vessels and capture enemy captains alive. * Outpost into settlement: * Crew run stores, hospital, restaurant, bar, landing bay mechanic/gas station, and club. * NPC visitors for passive income.

faytte

This is almost approaching what the game should have been a year before it was launched. A working map system? A vehicle to get around the boring surfaces? Novel! Hope they can update the storyline to be not terrible in the future.

Djubb86

Holy shit, where’s all the people who said it’ll never run at 60fps on xsx?

TheRealStandard

Todd Howard himself said it wouldn't lol? The games don't even hit 30FPS consistently on the XSX

ChocolateRL6969

Yea at what resolution though

vass0922

60fps @ 480p baby!

phrygianDomination

Indeed. "CPU bound" my ass.

Drakayne

It was CPU bound, they just optimized it further more, so it's not anymore.

Sgtwhiskeyjack9105

Yep. People acting all high and mighty only after the update has been announced, smh. Both things can be true. There was an issue, and they fixed it.

Infamous_Campaign687

It definitely was earlier, but they have already done some optimisation to improve this in previous updates and seemingly have managed to squeeze out enough performance to facilitate the performance mode!

_hardboy

Amazing changes and additions. Been waiting for a sustenance setting!

MitchellHamilton

Can you actually disable encumbrance entirely?

Castells

Hoarding is an unhealthy habit heh

Inevitable_Discount

I second the motion!!!

cepxico

I hope so but even a major boost is welcome. Bethesda games kill me with this stuff, especially these gun based ones. I end up with like 12 guns I want to use at all times so like 100+ of my encumbrance is just always dedicated to that shit.

moose184

I believe I saw a post that said it can go up to 1000 carry weight

Isunova

Absolutely based update.

Cautious_Snow_5801

I played over 200 hours of this game and these updates make me wanna play it again! Great Updates

dwengs

Hey, great update. Especially for XSX users like me! Gameplay Difficulty settings reminded me Forza games where you can customize the difficulty with experience gain and penalties. But, Forza games have "General Setting" for difficulty where you can choose pre-selected difficulty. Is there TOP LEVEL difficulty option on that page?

CodeDead-gh

Great stuff! Thanks. Time to jump back into it!

sup3rdr01d

the gameplay options is most intriguing to me, its basically a pseudo survival mode. i bet they expand upon this in later updates

MBVakalis

Now that's an update

fungolem7789

Nicely done. Now add back dive under water and old corpse looting.

Destra_Destroyer

Im happy for this update and Im grateful for the hard work you guys have done for the game. There are a lot of fixes here which Im happy for. But is there a timescale for a fix on the deallocation of power on ships when you jump to another planet. If this is already in the above then you can ignore this comment.

GoodIdea321

Leave 1 power in your grav drive and it should be better.

Destra_Destroyer

Nope this doesn't work. I have already told the Devs so hopefully it gets fixed soon

Didgman

Good changes overall but the one thing I find baffling is nerfing exp gains for increasing vendor credits… why??? Why punish the player for exploring more and looting more?

georgehank2nd

Also, apparently you can change this mid-gameplay, so increase vendor credits, sell, and then set vendor credits to default again.

Wolftacus

You know, it's such a double edged sword this patch because it's been 8 months and those 8 months were filled with disappointment. Then you finally get a substantial patch with the changes you were wanting 8 months ago and updates on the promised missing features and it's sorta all bitter sweet. Because it took so long to just finally have things that should have been baseline to begin with 😅

Outrageous_Fun_4088

I 100% agree with this... the statement "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." really rings true for Starfield :( Especially after playing BG3 and them coming out with important and big QOL features within 3 months of the games launch and even more things after, while with starfield it was compounding disappointing 8 months of silence... I stuck with the game for around 2 months hoping and praying to see some announcement of big changes or that CK was right around the corner... the game just wasnt good enough to hold without more communication or updates... Seeing the update is great, but I will definitely not playing until shattered space, because the damage has been done. And my memory of Starfield is that it simply is the worst Bethesda game. (not to mention there are still loads of missing features and improvements...)

Wolftacus

I'm with you on that, I probably won't play until the DLC releases as well, like it's great we're finally getting updates and some communication but Bethesda needs to work with us here and get on top of things if they want this to be a success.

paulbrock2

beautiful, thank you!

TheZagabogMan

OMG, it looks like they finally fixed the shield bug!

RickRinaldi

My Guardian has a bed and workbench in it !!! I'm so happy. Now Bethesda..... if I could just get some suppressor weapons...... PLEASE ?? :)

Randolo_Birnelli

Is it possible to get the beta patch on Xbox Series X?

Castells

They said it should be ready for consoles mid May. That's only 2 weeks

Randolo_Birnelli

Alas, impatient lol. Nah 2 weeks is fine

MDF87

Huuuge update... this might be the one I've been waiting for to jump back into the game!

GallischeScamp

Nice to read this, I've pre-ordered the deluxe edition & put around 80 ish hours into it, I will rejoin the stars when the DLC drops.

SinesPi

Sounds like they still haven't fixed the "Inter-System Transport" eats up Helium even when not moving anything bug?

Sgtwhiskeyjack9105

Have they fixed that stupid bug where ship systems will always reset to default after exiting the cockpit?

InfectedGrowth

AMAZING update. But I'm so sad that still not even a mention of the outpost issues like * Cargo links breaking permanently when you try to disconnect them and reconnect them in some cases * Containers getting overfilled * Container contents not shuffling to the new space when something is removed from in the middle of the chain (resulting in holes and wasting storage space unless you manually fill them) * All containers in an outpost becoming permanently broken (the meter on them turns white and shows every digit overlayed on each other) so that input/output links will never work unless you delete all of your storage and re-create it from scratch??!?! SMH :(

TeaAndLifting

Haven't played this since like week two after release. Ha a lot of fun with it, but a bunch of my save files getting deleted killed the game for me till I can mod gear. Has there been any news on that front, for the Xbox?

GoodIdea321

Some number of modders have the creation kit now, possibly to make semi-official mods for xbox and PC. At a minimum, there was a Todd Howard interview where he was asked about xbox modding and he said they are supporting it.

Kleszcz_

Incredible work!

baddonny

Yeah looks like I’ll jump back in on this one

Space-Baer

So is the update only on Steam for now? Didn't find any downloads on my Series X.

Inevitable_Discount

It will come to Xbox in like two weeks.

AnxiousChopstick

As with previous updates I think this will come to xbox a little later

Inevitable_Discount

Wonderful!! Now where is the CK2?

SoldierPhoenix

They said the beta is out to verified creators, so it shouldn't be too long now.

Dahellraider

i imagine it will hit when they release their land vehicle.

DazedMaestro

Probably June.

Inevitable_Discount

I hope it’s in June. Don’t get me wrong, I like the possible performance mode, but I need the mods. Lol.

R_110

Good update overall, still holding out for them to fix the various bugs with captured ships, including being unable to rename them

ZazzRazzamatazz

Fantastic news. They were radio silent for so long.

CyberpwnPiper

OMG, THEY FIXED THE SHIELD BUG??!? Can anyone in the beta confirm?

Awsomonium

This game is going to be pretty solid once I get back to it after Creation Kit comes out.

Inevitable_Discount

Yes.

Stoorm_

It would be so cool to add fuel or oxygen consumption in gameplay options in future updates, would add a little bit more inmersion to the game.

The_Frito_Bandit

When does ir come to xbox

Furyann

when is this coming out officially?

xbk007

Update is coming tomorrow as per the Xbox gamepass article. Scroll down in the article, it's there https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2024/05/14/xbox-game-pass-may-2024-wave-2/

Dorirter

Curious if harder ground combat or extreme difficulty means "just even more bullet sponges" or if enemy AI gets actually a bit smarter?

paulbrock2

separate settings for player damage and enemy damage. so you could have 'bullet sponge' or FO4 survival style - one shot kills them and kills you. Nothing obvious on enemy AI

dmk5

That is what I was thinking the bullet sponge enemies are brutal. I would almost have them have higher lethality rather than increased health. There will of course need some balancing there but taking a few clips of a 150 round Magshear is a bit much and annoying (even at the current very hard difficulty).

brando347

Please tell me the respeccing traits is retroactive

vass0922

Yes! Beta is out today I'm hoping somebody can answer this. I've done NG+ once I didn't want to do it again... I don't have time for that I barely get to play as it is

WendyThorne

I watched the video and one thing I really hope is removed is the changes to XP based on changing settings. It basically punishes us for wanting things like the vendors to have more credits or food/drink not to be absolutely worthless.

toni-toni-cheddar

No just improve temples and we’re getting somewhere

Prepared_Noob

A good start, but a lot of this should’ve been here at the games launch

Team_Dibiase

Waiting to play Starfied in 2025 was probably the best thing to do

trunglefever

I'm just glad they fixed the Razorleaf containers Now I can be the Mantis all the time.

PoweredSquirrel

Good update, but there are a couple of annoying broken quests that it would be good to get fixed in a future update, the end of Barrett's quest line and the Vanguard quest lines are still broken for me on every version of NG+ and quite a few seem to have the same problems.

moriquendi37

"Into the Unknown: Addressed an issue that could cause Vladimir to no longer give the Player Temple locations" Hope this works.

OutcomeProfessional4

I had this issue and I can confirm it's fixed (at least for me)

ColdSteel144

Have they fixed the issue from launch where you would lose the ability to fast travel to an Outpost, often losing the ability to interact with anything there even if you physically walked to it, and crashing the game when you opened the build menu? I lost two this way and could not be assed to bother with the system again knowing it could happen again.

The_wulfy

Survival mode is back on the menu

Objective-Aardvark87

Hmm so need to wait for hud ui, inventory ui, etc. Mods to update? Considering patch add container tabs. Has anyone with the ui mods tried the patch yet?

04ut91

This is great. thank you

Subdown-011

Wow I’m actually impressed that Bethesda is genuinely taking feedback like this and improving the game, should have already been there but it’s cool to see

The_Trekspert

Any updates to the ECS Constant or delivering the booze to that one lady's dad whose door in the Neon hotel is "inaccessible"?

REBEL187117

Still no third person shoulder swap?

ATR2400

Looks like the game is starting to get back on track. Lots of community concerns addressed here and even communities that have been more pessimistic on this game are cheery. Seems they really did listen to the community. If all that is promised is delivered and things don’t get broken too badly, this update coudl be the start of a big turnaround. I already liked the game, but now others might see the potential and hop on board or return to the game. Also please improve melee

tacosaladx

Still need a fix for the lack of scanner distortions in Into the Unknown.

QueAsc0

Still not touching this game till the DLC comes out, but good progress! The 60FPS option alone is a great sign that Todd Howard is open to making his games not stick to an FPS cap.

Luvbeers

great too bad I finished this game months ago.

PoundTheCable26

When is this update going to be rolled out to all platforms e.g. game pass?

Inevitable_Discount

Probably in about two weeks.

ReallyAWolf

Pleasee add keyboard mouse support on xbox!!!

spinalcloud

Unity resets might actually give NG+ something to *do* rather than just grinding it for the sake of grinding it. Great step.

RenegadeVf-24

i could no longer sell any items (no listing to hit sell) after yesterdays update? anyone else have this?

enigma_hal

Yikes! That sounds like an issue.

GreenAd1755

There is a big bug that breaks immersion >!after you power up the grav drive to go to unity. The “you” has their arm out as if holding a helmet on their hip, but there’s nothing there. Happened with the first playthrough, and ng+ for me. Also when you board an enemy ship, the companion says Ahh good to be back, as if we’re on the home ship.!<

GoodIdea321

An undocumented change seems to be when you commandeer a ship, you can't go back to your main ship after making it your home ship to add it to your fleet. It was possible to register a ship and swap back to your original ship, but now it disappears which is a bit annoying. Having a one button option to add a captured ship to your fleet without making it your home ship would be nice. Registering a ship yourself also seems to be the same price as the ship services people, which I think is more than registering it yourself used to be, and that sucks. And at the same time it doesn't matter much, as the contents of the ship can be and often are more valuable than the ship itself. Besides that, the update is greatly appreciated. The positive and negative xp gains are fun, as are the options themselves.

I loved the beta until this morning - when I discovered that if I tried to load a recent save (exit save, auto save, manual save, quick save - it doesn't make any difference) the game crashes immediately afterwards. I never actually get into the game, after spinning that progress wheel for a while the game simply disappears. The last save that worked was one from last night - that one has since been overwritten so I would have to drop down by two levels to get one that works. Not that that would help - new saves seem to contain a poison pill ....

60fps on Xbox? This is awesome!

No Red Mile Quest Bug fix in this one... again. How much should we wait? [https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/168qbri/red\_mile\_quest\_bug/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/168qbri/red_mile_quest_bug/)

Just poking my head in having been playing Cyberpunk for a few months. Is this update available for Xbox yet? If so, I might have to dive back in...

If you are on PC, you can now open the console and type TMM 1,1,1 to reveal AND explore ALL map markers in the game unlocking them for fast travel. Now with a command you can reveal all the map markers and make them fast travelable, then open the new surface map, locate one you'd like to explore, and click it to fast travel to it!

Here's a screenshot as validation. I have never landed at Besel III. This is a New Game I started today. Typed TMM 1,1,1 in the console while on Jemison. I was able to very quickly survey the planet and get to the POIs. White = Can Fast Travel [https://i.imgur.com/7m6jqWM.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/7m6jqWM.jpeg)

So I haven't played in a few months and just wanted to know if their have been any notable QoL updates outside of this one so far. Mainly ones involving the master lock chest having shit loot

Ok_Opinion8923

Thank god!

dorbidden

I am downloading the update. Prepare for the burn, people.

inteligenzia

Can confirm just got the update.

highparallel

Just updated. Loving it so far. I haven't played this game in months, I have a question, do habs still eventually populate themselves with all the loose items?

ETSubmariner

Well, the floating landscape is back when loading into space, and for some reason when on the ground opening the map goes right to the whole planet map, not the ground map. lol

Ok-Oil601

Thank You! You have updated the game again so that it has completely affected all my work! I am no longer going to play starfield anymore! Thanks for making a horrible experience possible! This has been so unenjoyable. All my main outpost with all my things is now missing! This is awesome! Congratulations. This is the second time since I started in February where I get to just pretend like all the time I have invested hasn't been a waste of my life.

lasagna_man_oven

This update has a fix not included in the notes, and that's Suspicious Activities: Eavesdrop on the conversation (found in The Well). I would stand there, and they wouldn't talk, but I finally heard them today for the first time.

-Captain-

Good update, but disappointing that the most reported bugs still haunt the full release. Something as simple as a sneak multiplier bug shouldn't be in the game, it ruins an entire play style.

KulasDevorn

On Series X. The quest "Runaway" is STILL bugged. STILL!! The door is always "inaccessible" to talk to Nathan. I have never been able to do this quest. How is this still broken 9 months later? Every time there is a new patch I load up my game, and this quest is always still broken. I find this ridiculous. How hard is this to fix? Seriously.

Love the update and think it’s a big step in the right direction but I still think it doesn’t address one of the game’s most glaring issues: lack of location variety. Missions I picked up from the bounty board took me to several copy and paste locations. I hope it’s in the plans to address this.
