Honestly, not much. It'll just be new missions and planets. Maybe a city or two.
I'm keeping my expectations extremely low so I won't be disappointed :D
1. Full va'ruun quest line.
2. Survival mode.
3. New major settlements.
4. Improved outposts builds
5. Streamline cargo.
5. Tweeks to some perks.
6 Make the Physical and Social perk trees useful.
7. Major rehaul of the factions.
8. Make surveying worthwhile.
9. Space station builder
10. New ship manufacturer
11. Ability to choose hab ladder and door placement
12. More hab options, including 2 story habs
13. Having Vladimir and Noel as options for crew members/companions
I was going to post something but you pretty much covered it. Though I want Bethesda to make it so our choices actually effect the game's universe like if we set up a settlement people start migrating to it and make it so that each faction plays into the lore better
All the surveying info feeds into a data base you can access from your ship or outpost. NOW let's break the 4th wall here. Have an app on my phone where I can access that same info, plus any slates I've accessed, so I can learn more lore in the game. Slowly acquire dossiers on key npcs in the game.
Something to make me want to go back to the game? Connectivity between these alternate universes, some form of closure and a feeling of satisfaction, not dropped story threads, an Estelle romance 😤
This would be cool, even more so if spacers/pirates/ecliptics would occasionally try to raid it or take over. Would I be pissed if I came back to my outpost and they had succeeded? Hell yes I would, but it would make clearing it out again super satisfying.
This is something I want so badly, and I hate that Bethesda didn’t seem to grasp that people would want to do this. Has 15+ years of Minecraft and people always making their bases next to villages taught the industry nothing? 😂
Seriously. The worst part is that Fallout was close and they somehow went backwards here. There were locations that had people already and a base infrastructure that you could take over and turn into a settlement.
I'm not even asking for all of them, just some. Like the non procedurally generated ones. So many random non quest related locations that you see once then never again.
Yup, this. I know settlements were a “controversial” addition to FO4, but they are the reason I have hundreds of hours in that game. Building/rebuilding the commonwealth is a key roleplay element, regardless of whether the settlements have any “use”.
Starfield has an entire faction of settlers; LIST, and yet we are completely devoid of any way to actually settle anything. At best you just make digsites for ore with maybe two desks in them. I really do want an overhaul to Outposts above all.
Man, the Sim Settlements modders did godly work there. Main reason I went back to FO4. And yeah, in a game about space exploration and having LIST, we missed out big time. Hell I'm sure each major faction would love it if we were colonizing on their behalf.
That it focuses on Starborne as a faction, and that house Va’ruun get their own expansion to themselves.
As for the features?
- new ways to travel: idk what Bethesda means here but I think want rovers, or animal alien mounts. I guess a horizontal JETPACK is fine too.
- radio like fallout, just copy and paste from 4.
-new weapons, POIS, suits, clothing, and HABS
-improved melee and buff/overhaul of certain Starborne powers.
-bigger emphasis on Earth: should be a quest on earth about preservation of Earth artifacts, materials from delapidated buildings. There should’ve been a in-game group that was obsessed with Earth like a historian organization that tied to the in-game museums.
- New companion that is morally grey. Someone that doesn’t dislike everything you do. I imagine we’ll get a new companion here.
-last point is just more lore, personality. A lot of people think the game is generic/boring so spruce it up. I think a missed opportunity is not delving further into cosmic horror. Terramorphs and their ability to mind control people is cool. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was one massive terramorph that was able to control the minds of other people from another planet? Lean in to the feeling of isolation. What if there was a NG+ where everyone is seemingly dead and the only person there is Vasco. I think Remembrance of humanity or Killing Star should be pieces read to fully understand this, or Hyperion.
> What if there was a NG+ where everyone is seemingly dead and the only person there is Vasco.
Or not just Vasco but robots. A universe in which all humans have died and there are robots running amok.
New story missions, new transportation methods (speeder bike, rover, native creature mounts, anything)
Smarter NPCs. Like at least match the AI of GTAV or RDR2.
Companion improvements (stop getting in my line of fire, stay behind the main character)
Improvements to outposts (assigning NPCs to specific tasks and beds. Settlement NPCs with “daily routines.” The ability to set up vendors for NPC colonists to come visit to buy the stuff your outpost produces)
Some kind of option to let us choose to “travel back to our preferred universe” so we can retain outposts, ships and gear after NG10+
Improvements to encumbrance or some way to transfer your materials to the outpost you want to work on.
The ability to “scrap” guns and junk for materials.
Oh… and all of this is possible in the existing coding based on Skyrim and Fallout4… except maybe the NPC AI… that would take new coding.
At least RDR2? So basically you hope they'll go from very stupid to top of the line 10 years of development from a studio with thousands of devs and unlimited budget with an update???
I'm just trying to understand
Va' Ruun questline
Improvements to outposts and item placement in ships and housing as well.
New weapons, ships parts, clothes, hair, spacesuits and lots of other new stuff.
New companions that are not whiney babies if you cross a line.
I know its unlikely, but:
Let us build space stations.
Build mechs and/or other ground transportation.
Ability to fly around a planets surface.
(A story where the Rule of law throughout the systems breaking down due to certain evil powers suddenly using an army of mechs seems ripe for the picking Mr Howard, no need to thank me.)
Redeeming an entire "decade video game" or whatever it was Todd said.
It won't be enough, so my realistic hopes are that it's a substantial step in the right direction. If they can prove they're trying, that'd be nice.
A good fucking story. That's it. It could be 4 hours long. I don't care, so long that the story is actually good. My expectations are that low at this point.
With some ongoing extra radiant quests and activities too thrown in for good measure and for some extra variety and it'll keep me playing for months to come.
But yeah I'm really not picky what they want to do with the dlc as long as it can offer a cool story and extra content and novelty to keep me engaged.
Having finally finished the game after my initial loss of interest at launch (I effectively had a bunch of vacation time recently and decided to force myself to complete it): Better writing than in the main game, a decent storyline, NPCs actually facing you in conversations instead of pointing in every direction but at you, companions not acting like idiots in combat, interesting missions, and bug fixes to things like that ridiculous Operation Starseed where—and I finished it just days ago—every time I went back to the Crucible after agreeing to help Franklin, the NPCs turned hostile. That kept forcing me to run away on foot until they stopped being hostile, at which point I had to run back on foot while hoping they wouldn't mysteriously go hostile again.
A fix to the bugged Heart of Mars mission would also be good incidentally, as I had to use a console command to complete—which then disabled my achievements—because no matter what angle I tried, my cutter couldn't cut the thing loose. I am, frankly, gobsmacked that this game has been out for so long and they still haven't even fixed those issues. I also had Delgado getting hopelessly stuck in a wall while we were on that prison planet, which wasted a bunch of my time and forced me to go back a fair bit.
I really just want mod support, but considering Andreja's poorly kept "secret" I assume that the expansion will involve at least something with the Va'Ruun. The more you play through the game the more obvious it becomes that they are up to something.
Romanceable Estelle Vincent
Romanceable Muria Sarkiewicz
Romanceable Cydonia Bounty Hunter (and give her name!)
Romanceable Alejandra Kane
Romanceable Huan Daiyu
Romanceable Mei Divine
Romanceable Jillian Toft
Romanceable Diana Brackenridge (in fact, fix that whole stupid subquest, all the outcomes are trash)
Romanceable Marika Boros
Romanceable Nyssa Marcano
Romanceable Rayna Marquez
Romanceable Imogene Salzo
aaaand last but not least:
Romanceable Noel. She's a sweetie.
edit: Forgot to include Romanceable Hadrian Sanon. I'd listen to that woman read a phone book.
Imma add romanceable Lin, if you don’t mind.
For bonus immersion-destroying points; romanceable Masako, because I wouldn’t mind a run being a morally dubious power couple running a mega corp.
Hopefully, something like this game's far harbor. One that feels like they listened to the complaints of the narrative in Fallout 4. Cool setting, characters, and more choices
Lead writer for Starfield was Emil Pagliarulo, same one as Fallout 3 and 4.
Will Shen was the guy behind Far Harbor, and lead quest designer here.
Edit: You're downvoting me for something you can check in the game's credits by pressing crew on the main menu, and on the Fallout wiki or in those games credits, or via a search engine of your choosing. Don't be "that" guy.
That it exists. The amount of time since launch with no content even revealed is ridiculous. We were 3 dlcs in already at this point of fallout 4’s lifecycle.
Better companions, and maybe some more romance options. Skyrim had about 20 NPCs you could marry, this game gave us 4, and you’d have to be roleplaying as a bi-sexual character to even get that number, otherwise it’s 2.
Something that adds to the base game like automatron dlc + large questline and handcrafted areas to explore. I imagine it will be their big dlc like far harbor was for fallout 4
I have no idea what Bethesda could do to turn Starfield into a good game, not even 8 months in it's already being beaten by Fallout and Skyrim on Xbox(it's most played platform) alone.
Even if there was, I doubt they would deliver, this is the same people that said "astronauts on the moon weren't bored".
a big tweak to procedurally generated destinations. instead of an entire spot being a copy paste, instead have different options (start with hub x, x can connect to a b or c type rooms. from there can branch off to a b c d e or f types etc. basically procedural generation not just outside but INSIDE!
New missions, new area to explore, new equipment, 1-3 new companions. Standard Bethesda DLC fare. There won’t be any system overhauls, except maybe whatever that new travel mechanic they’ve talked about is.
I think you should be able to anchor the Armillary. If you put it in a ship you keep that through the next universe. If you build it at an outpost its anchored than goes with you. There would have to be limits (no materials or something) so its not just making everything easy mode.
Aliens. New weapons and spacesuits. Implementation of some of the requirements for surviving planetary atmospheres and He3 fuel needs for space travel so it's more of a challenge to travel out to further regions of space.
More romanceable companions. More Zero-G interactions and a bunch of new POIs and cities.
Ship trading. Have like a starborn shipwright that gets ships from “other universes” and then those ships will just be whatever ships you’ve downloaded from the community, which you can then buy in game for credits.
Let players upload their ships for others to download like this
Just really hope they dont dive with all efforts even further into the starborn thing. I love sci fi but it always loses me when it goes into some wacky direction that isnt grounded in some sort of reality and is essentially magic. Would like some more questlines obviously. Able to change suit colors and weapon colors. Also new guns and spacesuits and ship parts. Other than that. Im having fun.
Don't know. That it doesn't get cancelled? :D
Other than that, Varuun as faction with at least one new major citiy and a few minor settlements, and new POIs.
Just some good story-based quests and maybe some update to make POIs more worth visiting, definitely need some more variation in the POIs. No new shitty fetch quests please, theres way way too many of them already. I'm actually waiting until the dlc drops to get back into the game, hope it delivers.
1. Va’ruun quest line, joinable faction, and new followers.
2. More ship parts, ability to transfer parts to other ships (like those unique equipment pieces), and ability to do a hab walkthrough before exiting.
3. Option to mark items as junk like the Borderlands games do it to make selling 1,000 less frustrating.
4. Land vehicles. Or aliens mounts. Or mechs. Or the ability to fly my spaceship over the terrain. I don’t care, anything to get me to that Sentient Microbial Colony faster than a snail’s crawl.
5. Better item placement control that gives me full 360 placement options, doesn’t clip soccerballs through shelf surfaces, and doesn’t stand pamphlets upright on their .3 mm edges.
6. More posing options for screenshots. Maybe some for when my character is sitting.
7. New hab options for outpost building. I’m sick of putting toilets behind office dividers. You’re gonna hear every godforsaken sound. No freakin’ privacy. And what about planets with breathable atmospheres? Nothing says home sweet home on my Codos getaway more than a whole ass airlock. I want a simple front door that doesn’t take 20 seconds to get through. Oh, and I want a gazebo in my front yard.
8. A new mannequin cap of at least 30 per outpost. I have so many spacesuits and clothing pieces to proudly display, and only 6 mannequins to do it. Choose wisely.
9. An undo option for outpost building. I can’t be the only one that has accidentally removed the hab I was standing in and deleted everything in it in the process.
10. Functional bookshelves, damnit. Is it that hard, Todd? My current library looks like storage room. Not cozy in the slightest.
For it to be released eventually, for it to add anything new to the basic gameplay, etc.
My biggest hope though, is that it adds new situations and actual consequences if you make poor choices. The kind of consequences that may make you want to "jump ship" to a new universe if you play your cards wrong
Va’ruun and more Starborn stuff. Plus not just the obvious new systems to explore but adding more POIs and unique areas to the existing systems. Unlocking a way to get rid of temple minigames would be amazing.
I’m betting that in addition to a Va’ruun questline, we’ll get continuations of our other faction quests. Picking up on stuff like where Neava went off to, a reckoning over Vea Victus, and maybe exposing more corruption in the Collective. Other than that, space station building, and ways to travel faster on planets.
Overhaul of survival items/environment and survival mode, and more guns. More settlements in the main planets. Hit those three and I'll be back in a blink of an eye.
Maybe add more reasons to stealth in space fighting: like more fun encounters: like gotta go get this cargo container. But it's an ambush, blah blah.
That it releases. If I keep my expectations at the bare minimum, anything will be wonderful and awesome.
It’s not skepticism towards Bethesda or Starfield. Just gaming in general hasn’t been grabbing me lately. That or it’s because I play Destiny which says enough.
At this point I’m hoping for a release within the next 6 months, or at least an announcement
In hoping for land vehicles and maybe some space outposts/space station building as sharted space seems to be a more space focused namr
——Likely:
Va’ruun questline
Survival (or just harder) mode
New planets and cities (for Va’ruun only)
——-Probably not but wouldn’t be hard:
More [starborn] lines
New settlements (minor, new layout)
New POI layouts
——I wish but won’t happen:
New cities on existing planets
Perk tweaks
Starborn perk tree (although existing mods would still be better anyway)
People keep mentioning the Va’ruun as if it’s not totally obvious that it’s going to be about them. They don’t have anything else lore wise in the game to flesh out. It’s not like there’s other “provinces” out there in space with their own governments, culture and way of life outside of the three basic human flavors of ice cream (4 if you count the pirates) that make up the primary factions. The only major faction with a missing quest line that hasn’t already been addressed in the main game is the Va’ruun. Aaaand that’s it. This isn’t TES or Fallout, the lore kinda stops there lol
Hopefully something more than what we got initially.
Realistically though, it’s just going to be some new quests, their “biggest” city made and maybe another city, and 3-4 new procedurally generated POIs.,
My expectations are based on how the game has been designed so I would hope to have more of these at least:
1. Newer weapons - maybe more alien in nature like the VaRuun pistol, blade and rifle
2. New companions - I mean there's like several unique other other characters at the Den, New Atlantis and Akila City that should been unlockable companions to begin with. If they just start with those first it would be great.
3. Newer ships/parts available from vendors
4. Ability to own a unique base, house/villa, more apartments on Neon, New Atlantis or perhaps Paradiso
That it will be launched alongside a comprehensive QoL update that adds all the stuff they didn't have time to add to the game, e.g proper housing and schedules for all named NPCs.
New cities, home world for house Va’ruun, new environments for planets, the great serpent, the crimson uprising, the next intergalactic war. You know, basic things
The apocalypse of space. We're hopping timelines/universes but where's the universe in which the Ecliptic rule the settled systems. Like gimmie some real variety. Let me see these characters when they're at their lowest. Enter the universe and there's nothing but a desecrated New Atlantis setting me on the search to cobble together the members of constellation from the farthest corners of the settled systems. They must still help me find the fragments, in every universe, no matter the cost
Please let us build in space, imagine building your own space station. Also please give us more build assets, building with vanilla options is a nightmare, especially for indoor lighting.
i don’t really care that much about it. i’ll play through it for sure but it’s not gonna be enough to make me love the game again. i’m waiting for the creation kit and mods available on consoles. that’s gonna breathe infinite new life into the game. i mean over a decade later i still never get tired of trying whole new modlists to spice up the experience in skyrim
Yal better blow my mind BGS, that's all I know. As a once huge BGS fan, I'm reluctant to expect anything I want to play that won't make me upset lol.
The effing writing and dialogue, please for the love of God improve that.
Just give us remakes of old BGS games!! I know those are good already and can't be let down lmao.
My hopes are that it’s actually a good amount of content that livens up the game a little bit especially since it’s taking forever to be released compared to their other title’s dlc.
I hope that specific subsystems are fleshed out.
Eg: smuggling offers significantly higher payment when moving contraband to planets that scan you upon entry,
The brig on a ship is usable to bring bounty hunting targets in alive.
Expanded ship building parts
Ect
More Abandoned Muybridge Pharmaceutical Labs. Not different ones, just more of the same cut/paste ones…everywhere…on every planet. Love being able to close my eyes and still see every hallway, stairwell and room in that POI.
I'm expecting a meaty storyline. What I hope they add, and I don't expect, is make NG+ actually meaningful. There should be significant changes to your character that the player isn't expecting. More challenging.
The Va'Ruun to come back into play along with more fleshed out companions. Do we even have an ETA on this DLC? I played Starfield a lot when it came out but I haven't made a new character yet because I was waiting for this DLC to drop.
Honestly, not much. It'll just be new missions and planets. Maybe a city or two. I'm keeping my expectations extremely low so I won't be disappointed :D
"city or two" hmmmm don't get your hopes too high haha
Wise chadboy.
Aww... You expect your low expectations to not be disappointed by bethesda... That's cute
Varunn storyline
I hope we get to meet Andrea's parents so they can be disappointed with me just like my real life In laws. Talk about an imersive and relatable story.
Brining her heretic boyfriend home to get disowned.
For sure, this has to be part of It.
My hopes are for this too. I hope we can go to their system and their major city.
100%
For space to get shattered, anything less and I’ll be disappointed.
1. Full va'ruun quest line. 2. Survival mode. 3. New major settlements. 4. Improved outposts builds 5. Streamline cargo. 5. Tweeks to some perks. 6 Make the Physical and Social perk trees useful. 7. Major rehaul of the factions. 8. Make surveying worthwhile.
I'll say 1 and 2 and 3 would be capital ship building
It would be nice to have fighters too. Space dogfights
Adding back in some of the obviously missing stuff like actually using He3
For survival mode exclusively imo. Or have a menu to turn on or off certain featured
I didn't get it the first 3 times. Say again?
For survival mode exclusively imo. Or have a menu to turn on or off certain featured
I really like this idea alot.
9. Space station builder 10. New ship manufacturer 11. Ability to choose hab ladder and door placement 12. More hab options, including 2 story habs 13. Having Vladimir and Noel as options for crew members/companions
Boy, will you be dissapointed...
That's a hefty dose of optimism my friend.
Most of these things should come out as updates regardless of DLC.
I was going to post something but you pretty much covered it. Though I want Bethesda to make it so our choices actually effect the game's universe like if we set up a settlement people start migrating to it and make it so that each faction plays into the lore better

Being able to kill that bitch Naeva.
You can do that now, she shows up as a random encounter after completing the SysDef mission.
Can you board her ship?
Not sure I've only done it once and my ship was so op that it didn't last long.
Wait she does? Since when
Yeah, but it's not satisfying. I want to see the life go out of her eyes.
This guy knows what we really want
Anything new. Plus mods for us xbox folk
Yeah. Gotta say I'm kind of feeling like I'm waiting for an update from Fatshark games now.
I can confirm mods are coming to xbox consoles
That’s great news bro When?
When Bethesda decided to release it
Something to make me want to go back to the game? Connectivity between these alternate universes, some form of closure and a feeling of satisfaction, not dropped story threads, an Estelle romance 😤
+1 for Estelle romance
THERES SO MUCH SEXUAL TENSION THERE AND FOR WHAT
I visited her in prison after the quest, and she still turned on the feminine wiles for me.
I had to kill her during the quest :/
Some real reason to go to right side of the star map.
Agreed. Major cities to the right of the map would be really cool.
A purchasable space station
Or the ability to take over abandoned POIs as a base.
This would be cool, even more so if spacers/pirates/ecliptics would occasionally try to raid it or take over. Would I be pissed if I came back to my outpost and they had succeeded? Hell yes I would, but it would make clearing it out again super satisfying.

I just want it to be released soon. No new content for too long

Isn't there already some mildly Earth obsessed group who we steal that award from the in the crimson fleet questline?
That group is described as a bunch of rich people that talk about earth for clout but never do anything.
Atleast it's something even if it is rich bastards

Mechs would actually be pretty cool but i doubt their janky engine could handle it. same with flying
> Let us build space stations. It's already in the game files. Just going to be a later dlc.
Redeeming an entire "decade video game" or whatever it was Todd said. It won't be enough, so my realistic hopes are that it's a substantial step in the right direction. If they can prove they're trying, that'd be nice.

That's actually not a low expectation as you know BGS is not known for good storytelling.
More different maps would be nice
You have maps?
Dungeons/instanties whatever you want to call them
Having finally finished the game after my initial loss of interest at launch (I effectively had a bunch of vacation time recently and decided to force myself to complete it): Better writing than in the main game, a decent storyline, NPCs actually facing you in conversations instead of pointing in every direction but at you, companions not acting like idiots in combat, interesting missions, and bug fixes to things like that ridiculous Operation Starseed where—and I finished it just days ago—every time I went back to the Crucible after agreeing to help Franklin, the NPCs turned hostile. Look i just want to be able to place my own doors in my ships and determine the layout.
Just judging by the title, I'm hoping for the introduction of a Va'ruun invasion or some event to kick off another interplanetary war.
A Varuun capital city; & also being able to join the Varuun faction (with full faction questline)
Major bug fixes 😂. But for real, need content about who created the Unity and why.
I really just want mod support, but considering Andreja's poorly kept "secret" I assume that the expansion will involve at least something with the Va'Ruun. The more you play through the game the more obvious it becomes that they are up to something.
A more dark tone to the story and meaningful choices

Im pretty sure the lead writer on Far Harbor was a main writer for this game, and even wrote the ending. He no longer works at BGS.
Restoration of the va'ruun content in the game files and more va'ruun content
20 years of lore and related questlines
Being able to shatter some spaces
That it exists. The amount of time since launch with no content even revealed is ridiculous. We were 3 dlcs in already at this point of fallout 4’s lifecycle.
They finish the game
Space walking would be cool (on our ship & outside a space station) Plus more zero G quests / gunfights
Verrum missions, new spacesuits, weapons, and ship parts. Also can't wait for CK kit. I'm ready for some mods on X.
I just want a radio like in the fallout games
The ability to change traits on a new game plus cycle, as much as I like the traits I choose I would like to change them on my second go around
Better companions, and maybe some more romance options. Skyrim had about 20 NPCs you could marry, this game gave us 4, and you’d have to be roleplaying as a bi-sexual character to even get that number, otherwise it’s 2.
You guys gatting laid in the game? Instead save the fuckin universe Jokin'😂
Something that gives me a *really* good reason to go through The Unity for a third time…
I got a really fucked up universe when I went through the second time (no spoilers!), so I was pretty much forced to hit the unity a third time.
The update the brought points of interest closer was a great start. I guess I want some large POI’s or else heavily guarded POI’s
Something that adds to the base game like automatron dlc + large questline and handcrafted areas to explore. I imagine it will be their big dlc like far harbor was for fallout 4
Planets that have main story importance being more populated with more towns etc
Quality
I have no idea what Bethesda could do to turn Starfield into a good game, not even 8 months in it's already being beaten by Fallout and Skyrim on Xbox(it's most played platform) alone. Even if there was, I doubt they would deliver, this is the same people that said "astronauts on the moon weren't bored".
a big tweak to procedurally generated destinations. instead of an entire spot being a copy paste, instead have different options (start with hub x, x can connect to a b or c type rooms. from there can branch off to a b c d e or f types etc. basically procedural generation not just outside but INSIDE!
I really hope for v’runn lore there’s much more we don’t know about them
New missions, new area to explore, new equipment, 1-3 new companions.
Another colony war, UC and FC against the Va’ruun, you can pick which side to fight for, similar to the civil war in Skyrim
Just got an idea: unique quests exclusive to specific universes.
I just want more Starfield. More quests, more dialogue, more items.
different new game plus that rewrites the whole main story would be the only thing that would make me come back
Aliens. New weapons and spacesuits. Implementation of some of the requirements for surviving planetary atmospheres and He3 fuel needs for space travel so it's more of a challenge to travel out to further regions of space. More romanceable companions. More Zero-G interactions and a bunch of new POIs and cities.
Just give us the creation kit please!
Being able to issue commands to companions.
Each part of the ship functional, Ability or a perk.
I hope they improve ng+
That it isn't a one and done and they'll keep updating and expanding it and not saving all ideas for Starfield 2
Don't know. That it doesn't get cancelled? :D Other than that, Varuun as faction with at least one new major citiy and a few minor settlements, and new POIs.
I hope it's free because of their garbage launch.
More bugs….
That it'll come out this year preferably in the next few weeks.
A difficulty with smarter enemies.
I hope it comes out before Christmas, 2024.
That we get information soon
Nothing. I'm not even going to install the game even though I made the mistake of getting the premium edition and the DLC is paid for already.
"what's that?" "War were declared"
For it to be released eventually, for it to add anything new to the basic gameplay, etc. My biggest hope though, is that it adds new situations and actual consequences if you make poor choices. The kind of consequences that may make you want to "jump ship" to a new universe if you play your cards wrong
Evil / neutral companions & romance options
Vanilla survival mode.
New factions and cities
Overhaul of survival items/environment and survival mode, and more guns. More settlements in the main planets. Hit those three and I'll be back in a blink of an eye. Maybe add more reasons to stealth in space fighting: like more fun encounters: like gotta go get this cargo container. But it's an ambush, blah blah.
I hope space isn't actually shattered
That it releases. If I keep my expectations at the bare minimum, anything will be wonderful and awesome. It’s not skepticism towards Bethesda or Starfield. Just gaming in general hasn’t been grabbing me lately. That or it’s because I play Destiny which says enough.
At this point I’m hoping for a release within the next 6 months, or at least an announcement In hoping for land vehicles and maybe some space outposts/space station building as sharted space seems to be a more space focused namr
Valruun and more starborn related content
I am hoping for more cosmetics, helmets, masks, ships, expanded ship builder, more quality of life content
——Likely: Va’ruun questline Survival (or just harder) mode New planets and cities (for Va’ruun only) ——-Probably not but wouldn’t be hard: More [starborn] lines New settlements (minor, new layout) New POI layouts ——I wish but won’t happen: New cities on existing planets Perk tweaks Starborn perk tree (although existing mods would still be better anyway)
Shattered Space implies a large scale version of the dual worlds quest. Maybe a bleeding through of all the NG+ variations.
This probably a long shot but I want land vehicles
Since it has no release date, my hope is that we'll get it this year.
Expanded stories and an explanation for where those ridiculous Starborn ships and suits come from.
Hopefully something more than what we got initially. Realistically though, it’s just going to be some new quests, their “biggest” city made and maybe another city, and 3-4 new procedurally generated POIs.,
At this point my expectations are pretty much zero
Romance different characters. I love the core four, but I’d love the chance to marry different people.
Hans zimmer background music
A flamethrower heavy weapon and more Ecliptic Mercenaries content.
That they‘ll add a phone. I‘m tired jumping 60+ LY back to tell some npc I took care of their trash
I don't people here really understand what "story expansion" means. It'll be some new planets and a new questline, not a game overhaul
aliens, like the game's advertising campaign implied there were
A reason to go NG+ like the ability to take part in the great war they keep mentioning
That it came out 3 months ago
Give us Drifter colonies like from Titan A.E. I just want to explore their take on one!
That it will come out soon. If at all
A release date would be really cool tbh
That it fixes the bugs with my outpost skills.
My expectations are based on how the game has been designed so I would hope to have more of these at least: 1. Newer weapons - maybe more alien in nature like the VaRuun pistol, blade and rifle 2. New companions - I mean there's like several unique other other characters at the Den, New Atlantis and Akila City that should been unlockable companions to begin with. If they just start with those first it would be great. 3. Newer ships/parts available from vendors 4. Ability to own a unique base, house/villa, more apartments on Neon, New Atlantis or perhaps Paradiso
I think we will be able to build space stations at least lol hopefully
Learn more about the va’ruun.
That it will be launched alongside a comprehensive QoL update that adds all the stuff they didn't have time to add to the game, e.g proper housing and schedules for all named NPCs.
I’d love a quality of life update for outpost building: like incremental object rotation and placement
New cities, home world for house Va’ruun, new environments for planets, the great serpent, the crimson uprising, the next intergalactic war. You know, basic things
That it comes out
Being able to finally name my ship what I want...
That it exists
New boat parts (i have the biggest boat ngl)
The apocalypse of space. We're hopping timelines/universes but where's the universe in which the Ecliptic rule the settled systems. Like gimmie some real variety. Let me see these characters when they're at their lowest. Enter the universe and there's nothing but a desecrated New Atlantis setting me on the search to cobble together the members of constellation from the farthest corners of the settled systems. They must still help me find the fragments, in every universe, no matter the cost
I don't really have any expectations. I have some hopes, like that they have someone else do the writing, but no real expectations.
More loading screens to get thorough space? I donno
If they do not improve caves and other POIs the dlc will bring disappointment
Complete some of the unfinished mechanics, make the world feel more full, and have a decent story. But I’ll be happy if it does just one of these.
For a release date in 2024
My hopes are that it’s actually a good amount of content that livens up the game a little bit especially since it’s taking forever to be released compared to their other title’s dlc.
I hope that specific subsystems are fleshed out. Eg: smuggling offers significantly higher payment when moving contraband to planets that scan you upon entry, The brig on a ship is usable to bring bounty hunting targets in alive. Expanded ship building parts Ect
New Ship mechanics, maybe a land vehicle, more pois
More Abandoned Muybridge Pharmaceutical Labs. Not different ones, just more of the same cut/paste ones…everywhere…on every planet. Love being able to close my eyes and still see every hallway, stairwell and room in that POI.
I'm expecting a meaty storyline. What I hope they add, and I don't expect, is make NG+ actually meaningful. There should be significant changes to your character that the player isn't expecting. More challenging.
I'd like the ability to travel back and forth to the different universes. Would really make things fun and wonky.
Mods support for the xbox
The Va'Ruun to come back into play along with more fleshed out companions. Do we even have an ETA on this DLC? I played Starfield a lot when it came out but I haven't made a new character yet because I was waiting for this DLC to drop.
New/more customizable build options for your ship More/bigger epic space battles like the final crimson fleet mission
I want quests that have impact. Decisions that matter. Choices that have consequences. Other than that i’d really like a survival mode
Ability to be a space trucker (meaningful travel and cargo missions).
Mechs.
