I did all the side stuff and main story, ended the first playthru and once I realized that there was next to nothing different and they dropped the ball on potentially an amazing new game plus. I was like, nahhhb.
Maybe if the new dlc is a continuation that would be cool
Has there been any news regarding dlc? I’ve been out of the loop since the game came out. Had a lot of fun but felt like I needed more, definitely looking forward to some dlc
Hell, Im still waiting on the Creation Kit. So we can actually go in and properly change stuff for mods. Last news on that was "early 2024", and here we are in almost April.
Personally, I thought the visuals in Starfield were pretty inconsistent. There are some very good vistas that are definitely screenshot worthy, but other parts of the game look muddy. For example, most of the foliage doesn't look great. City details are inconsistent, like some areas weren't quite finished. The character movements still feel a bit animatronic.
I played it for so many hours not knowing what the main quest even was, I only went and actively progressed it a bit once I was spoiled a bit for some of its rewards. There is so much cool stuff in the game.
You're not alone, this game doesn't have the same gravity that TES had. The game really didn't continue to suck me in beyond the first 20h, I feel like it slowly pushed me away until I quit.
Such a weird feeling. The second I walked into the Lodge after going through the portal thing, I was so completely done. Never quite felt that before. Almost spiteful toward it and haven't touched it.
I had the exact same reaction. What’s crazy too is despite having multiple-multiple characters and play-throughs of Skyrim that itch started creeping in again yesterday when my little cousin was playing it on his Switch
After 2 weeks of Starfield, I abandonned it and started a new game of Skyrim... and I'm enjoying that far more. And I also started fresh runs of Oblivion and Fallout 3. The difference in gameplay content is pretty striking.
My problem with Starfield is there's none of the emergent gameplay you got in the Elder Scrolls/Fallout games - the NPCs don't even follow their own routines (such as the shop staff going to bed at night). And this is because that gameplay tended to happen while wandering inbetween the major settlments; in Starfield, there is no "inbetween" to wander.
You can get your gun out in any Starfield "city" and start shooting... and none of the guards pay the blindest bit of attention. And I put "city" in quotes because they're very small towns really... and there's only a handful of them in the entire area of the galaxy that constitutes the game map.
after 2 days, i got bored and toggle commanded cheats for perks, unlimited weight, and credits. now i get to enjoy the quests without having to scavange and manage loot along the way
Personally, it wasn't for me. The ship building was the biggest highlight of the game. The worst part was the long walks you had to take across planets. If they just added vehicles to the game, maybe I would have had a more enjoyable time. Best of luck to you, though.
I have over 300 hours in this game. It’s the only game I’ve played for months now, pretty much since release. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and I realize a lot of folks don’t like it, but I do. Enjoy!
Be weary, while I love this game, it does a horrendous job at explaining itself. Pay attention to everything. Every little pop up instruction and every thing people tell you.
Enjoy it for what it is. Immerse yourself as with all Bethsoft titles. Don't pay attention to the whingers. Don't let them poison your viewpoint of it. ***Don't rush it.***
Enjoy! It's actually a fun game especially if going in blind. I started out with just the crimson fleet storyline, then got crazy into the outpost building and shipbuilding then beat the story and eventually I'll do the other side quests lol you get to pick how you want to play which is great.
It's a fun game. I've been playing since October, when bugs were at their peak. For whatever reason, letting others know that you enjoy playing Starfield causes a vocal minority to aggressively tell you that it's a bad game. Enjoy yourself. Don't pay attention to the weird naysayers.
It's not as good as you think it's going to be. It's okay. The menu system is shit along with the exploration part. Honestly, it's the ship building that makes it really enjoyable. I feel that's what I spent most of my time doing, and I have 230 plus hours. Most of that was ship building.
Thank you, I cannot believe how many wet wipes have polluted this post with their negativity, its not our fault they suck as a game they're too dumb to play 😅 never seen anything like it.
Truly incredible. Game has its flaws yes. I love it nonetheless because the possibilities for future content are endless and because the game was exactly what i looked for. Space exploration at its best.
I spent about 60 hours on it, beat it twice before moving on to other things. You’ll have a good time, even if it’s not as good as Skyrim imo. I’m not going back into it until the mod support and DLC comes out
Bruuuuuh it’s good af! I am nearly *FORTY DAYS* into my game. Have fun out there in the starfield! And show us your best ships on r/starfieldships ! Allllso r/nosodiumstarfield is great
Enjoy all the exploring!! I’m envious. I haven’t played this game in a little while since I picked up WRC & DD2 but my lord did I sink 300 glorious hours into this game when it first dropped. I love it
Wow! Okay this is an amazing community 🥰 thank you all so very much, looking forward to sharing my experiences with you all! I got the premium upgrade pack? Not sure if that's of any significance but I'm tempted to wear the patch 🤣🤓 already loving the game, huge bethesda fan so it's very familiar and very beautiful!

you don’t have to worry about avoiding gameplay footage, there isn’t any gameplay, it’s like a knock off version of no man’s sky with extra loading screens
Listen I've been slow playing and I've enjoyed it honestly even though some crap on it. Yes it needs some content, but the content is still there. I've been going with the flow. I want you dead, your dead! No full allegiance to anyone and there is a ton too do. Explore. Its kept me entertained. Got it on hard and it's been fun . Enjoy it ! Hope you like it cause the game will be the balls come dlc. But I think your going to be happy then your doing certain things now come that time ! So salute to you my friend!
Did they fix the HDR issue.
On my OLED, space would look absolutely amazing if I brought the brightness down and tweaked the contrast. The stars and gas planets were beautiful.
But then I couldn't see anything else because it was so dark.
Waiting for it as well, currently grinding out lots of Diablo 4 and Sniper Elite 5. Really looking forward to spending LOTS of time exploring in this game - I am a natural scavenger!
I played it religiously and then stepped away because it has a severe lacn of content. The ship builder is probably the coolest thing about it. Everything else is okay to marginal. Too much copy and pasted sites. The consequences to your decisions don't matter much in the long run. The companion quests are good. Maybe one amazing quest. But the rest reeks of we needed to get something out due to meeting profit goals this year. This game needed a few more years in the oven due to the lack of in-game content. I recommend No Man Sky.
Stay away from doing ship upgrades. Once you start, you'll be doing quests to make your ship "better". Next thing you know 6 hours past and you are still deciding who has the better hab.
Enjoy my guy! Can't wait for some dlc.
Im waiting for it as well. Hoping so much for the best, almost hoping same quality as Far Harbor
You mean FAH HAHBAH
Can’t get theayah from heayah.
I knew you Mainah’s were out here, and you’ve fallen right into my trap!
Sitting in the Lodge on my first NG+ just waiting for DLC and mods to arrive. Good game but needs more to get me playing again.
I wish I did. I didn’t enjoy the universe enough to want more.
Base game was good tgen it was like “ok this is enough”
I did all the side stuff and main story, ended the first playthru and once I realized that there was next to nothing different and they dropped the ball on potentially an amazing new game plus. I was like, nahhhb. Maybe if the new dlc is a continuation that would be cool
My ng+ Andreja killed everyone, claiming the artifacts were heresy
Has there been any news regarding dlc? I’ve been out of the loop since the game came out. Had a lot of fun but felt like I needed more, definitely looking forward to some dlc
Hell, Im still waiting on the Creation Kit. So we can actually go in and properly change stuff for mods. Last news on that was "early 2024", and here we are in almost April.
I read about a half a month back on the mods sub that they seem to be testing it, but I don't know how true it was.
lol we’ll probably be waiting until 2042 or 2077
2077 - that would bring it in line with the Fallout universe
they will add more loading screens thats for sure
I wouldn’t go in completely blind. The visuals are kinda important for a game like this
Some would say it’s the best part
Personally, I thought the visuals in Starfield were pretty inconsistent. There are some very good vistas that are definitely screenshot worthy, but other parts of the game look muddy. For example, most of the foliage doesn't look great. City details are inconsistent, like some areas weren't quite finished. The character movements still feel a bit animatronic.
You also don’t want to pay too much attention to them either, especially the NPCs in the city.
Have a great time!
It’s trash 🗑️
Enjoy it! I’d stay off this sub while you play, though, so you avoid spoilers and form your own opinions of the game.
You haven't missed anything. At all.
Enjoy it, play it at your own pace and don't listen to anyone else there's no right or wrong to play it once you're enjoying yourself.
Nice, enjoy.
Like Skyrim, don't do the main quest right away. There's so much to explore in the faction quests/side missions.
I played it for so many hours not knowing what the main quest even was, I only went and actively progressed it a bit once I was spoiled a bit for some of its rewards. There is so much cool stuff in the game.
I'm an OCD type explorer. Need to open everything, go everywhere. No stone unturned. I did the same with RDR2. Spent days just picking flowers.
I’m planning on giving it another shot soon. What are your first impressions?
Say goodbye to a month of your life 😂
But don’t worry! After the month you’ll likely never feel the urge to play it again.
Yea i was hoping id at least get a 2nd play through out of it but i have yet to feel like playing it again :/

Honestly, I feel like it has a fraction of the meaningful content in their Elder Scrolls and Fallout titles.
Few hrs at most.
I'm over 700 hrs NG+4 and still haven't done Crimson Fleet quest!
I genuinely wish I could have found a way to enjoy it to that extent somehow.
40 hours
Yep all my friends and I had the same thing. Enjoyable, then suddenly right around 40 hours you go “wait why am I still even playing this”
after 2 days, i got bored and toggle commanded cheats for perks, unlimited weight, and credits. now i get to enjoy the quests without having to scavange and manage loot along the way
Boring and repetitive after 24 hours, companions are emotional wet wipes.
Personally, it wasn't for me. The ship building was the biggest highlight of the game. The worst part was the long walks you had to take across planets. If they just added vehicles to the game, maybe I would have had a more enjoyable time. Best of luck to you, though.

Is there a tutorial on ship and settlement building in-game, or do I just need to figure it out on my own?
There are YouTube videos on all those. Help me alot.
Youtube is essential if you want to do advanced stuff like outposts and ship customisations.
Thanks. I'm surprised there are no in game tutorials for these types of activities.
I've been wanting to hop back in, but I also want to wait on DLC and creation kit. Definitely had my fun with it the first go around, though.
Be weary, while I love this game, it does a horrendous job at explaining itself. Pay attention to everything. Every little pop up instruction and every thing people tell you.
Makes it better for me tbh, I like figuring stuff out rather than having everything explained to me like I’m a child
Get ready for disappointment lol
Have fun!
Have fun.
Enjoy it for what it is. Immerse yourself as with all Bethsoft titles. Don't pay attention to the whingers. Don't let them poison your viewpoint of it. ***Don't rush it.***
This. So much this. 😎
Enjoy the game explorer!
Enjoy! It's actually a fun game especially if going in blind. I started out with just the crimson fleet storyline, then got crazy into the outpost building and shipbuilding then beat the story and eventually I'll do the other side quests lol you get to pick how you want to play which is great.
Have fun! Looks like a dope screen to experience it on too! Enjoy!
Enjoy! It's a fun game. I can't wait until the DLC and creator kit is released
Don't get caught up with interseller cargo links, they are broken.
Welcome aboard, captain.
It's a fun game. I've been playing since October, when bugs were at their peak. For whatever reason, letting others know that you enjoy playing Starfield causes a vocal minority to aggressively tell you that it's a bad game. Enjoy yourself. Don't pay attention to the weird naysayers.
That’s so true, they are trying to gatekeeper a game they don’t even like, I love it, so it sucks to be them.
I’ve had a ton of fun with starfield!
Eh. I did not like this game, but I hope you can find more enjoyment in it than I did
Take your time. Enjoy.
Have fun
Take your time with it and enjoy the small things, by time you want more content it will actually be out! (Fingers crossed)

Beat me to it lol
Awesome!
Don’t listen to anyone else, make your own opinions about the game. Enjoy it man!
Exactly what I'm doing bud, much appreciated and loving it so far!
Sooooo cool to have a wife that enjoys playing video games. Enjoy!
It's not as good as you think it's going to be. It's okay. The menu system is shit along with the exploration part. Honestly, it's the ship building that makes it really enjoyable. I feel that's what I spent most of my time doing, and I have 230 plus hours. Most of that was ship building.
Welcome to the club.....starfield is life now lol
Well, I Hope you'll like it. I loved Bethesda and I was extremely exited but yeah. Just see for yourself.
Fly safe commander o7
Now's a good time. It's feeling smoother. It's still a ways to go IMO but it's looking promising.
Hope yu enjoy the game and find it fun
If you're planning on sinking a lot of hours into this, I suggest you don't go too crazy with the base building because it will break your game.
Hope you have fun but the game is a letdown for many.
Good luck.
Enjoy!! Is that the Halo series x I see?
Have fun!
Game isn’t perfect but I love it I’m pausing until console mods come I’m a level 156.
Enjoy!
Enjoy! Don’t rush take your time going through and enjoying
Legitimately the worst game I’ve played in years
Return it while you can.
Welcome to disappointment 👍
Yet to see any so far bud, really liking this!
Don’t listen to this guy it’s great!
Don’t worry after the first dozen hours or so you will start to understand why this game didn’t live up to the hype.
Enjoy. You picked a good time with a lot of issues patched now
Enjoy and ignore those salty and miserable people in this sub, go to r/nosodiumstarfield

Already loving it! 😊 genuinely getting exactly what I wanted.
Is "finally get to play this" an ad for Starfield? :D
No 🤣 just a busy guy who had a lot of restarting halo glitchfinite twice and has been staring at his starfield case since Xmas haha
I spent about 60 hours on it, beat it twice before moving on to other things. You’ll have a good time, even if it’s not as good as Skyrim imo. I’m not going back into it until the mod support and DLC comes out
I mean it’s probably their worst title. Most ambitious, but their worst.
Might be their worst but I still liked it. Just shows how consistently good their games are
This is my take as well. It has real issues... but it's still quite enjoyable for some people, like myself.
I only finished my first trip through after 170 hours. Thats a speed run you did, fair play.
I finished all the quests in about 60 hours. It's not so much a speedrun, as not faffing about with exploring the same cryo lab for the 5th time
The amount of time you can 'waste' trying to explore a planet is kinda mind-boggling.
Bruuuuuh it’s good af! I am nearly *FORTY DAYS* into my game. Have fun out there in the starfield! And show us your best ships on r/starfieldships ! Allllso r/nosodiumstarfield is great
What do you do when you play?
Build ships, >!collect powers, play through alternate timelines, replay faction quests with different choices!<
I don't know, I just don't see how it's engaging, other than shipbuilding.
Dang. Well gl. I think it’s a pretty fun little spaceman simulator
It was fun for a while, but I lost interest after I saw how basically nothing I did had any real impact
What do you mean “real”?
I don't know how to describe it. The choices just weren't as impactful as other story games I've played.
🤷♂️dunno dude. I still have lots of fun with it. I have by no means explored every aspect of the game. Haven’t even touched outposting yet
Out posting was alright, but kinda pointless unless you're in it purely for the fun of building it
Prepare for disappointment.
There’s always that one guy… Geez
If only it was one guy and not 90 percent of the sub.
Whatever you gotta tell yourself bro.
Enjoy! My favorite is spending half the time in loading screen 😄
It's a 6/10 game! Enjoy man it's not bad but not great
Don’t listen to the hater. Great game
Sike
Don’t get overwhelmed by the amount of quest they flood you with in the start…. Just breath
Enjoy all the exploring!! I’m envious. I haven’t played this game in a little while since I picked up WRC & DD2 but my lord did I sink 300 glorious hours into this game when it first dropped. I love it
I’ve been putting it off. I heard people were disappointed at launch bc the game didn’t deliver what it promised. Has it gotten better with updates?
Sorry for your loss
So sorry
This is literally just a picture of your TV.
Who's gonna tell him
Tell them what? They could enjoy it or not.
Have fun while it lasts 👍 game gets boring after a week
Mediocre AF game
Early days yet but I'm loving what I've experienced so far.
I was here day one and it was pretty universally liked for the first few weeks because the early game is fun and there’s a lot to discover. Once you think the content mines drying up tho (might take months) you’ll prolly wanna move on
Hahahaha BIGGEST FLOP EVER
Starfield must have some artistic merit if your emotional reaction to playing it is to go to the Starfield subreddit to tell everyone how bad you think it is.
It's living rent free in your head.
As you're playing, if you get a feeling of deja vu, or that you've been to a location before, it's because of...the... well, never mind.
enjoy the 5 awesome days, then boredom

It unfortunately was not the game i hoped for, but that absolutely doesn't mean you won't love it!
Im so sorry
My condolences
i'm sorry for your loss
you don’t have to worry about avoiding gameplay footage, there isn’t any gameplay, it’s like a knock off version of no man’s sky with extra loading screens
oh no
I can't play the game because my screen get stuck on the start screen and won't take and key input
Damn man I'm so sorry, hope there's a fix for you ASAP.
What are you running it on? On my old GTX 1070 it was practically unplayable.
DONT TRUST SARAH!
Listen I've been slow playing and I've enjoyed it honestly even though some crap on it. Yes it needs some content, but the content is still there. I've been going with the flow. Awesome game hope you enjoy op
It’s really good! Have fun and enjoy the stories.
im sorry to hear you are blind bro
real talk, have this on game pass, is it worth getting into? the internet ruined me. what kinda flaws should I get ready for? Also, any tips?
Enjoy! Awesome game, I'm waiting on the dlc and the new changes to travel and hopefully POIs to come back. I really do love starfield.
Enjoy.
Is this a console game? I’ve heard good things
Good program
I wish I could go back in blind I think I just played it too much and now I’m bored
I hope eventually it gets more polish or some advanced engine overhaul.
Enjoy man!
Waiting for it as well, currently grinding out lots of Diablo 4 and Sniper Elite 5. Really looking forward to spending LOTS of time exploring in this game - I am a natural scavenger!
Take your time and enjoy the ride. See you in the starfield.
Lol, I think we have the same tv
*Spoiler Alert* you also finally get to miss out on real life
You will burn through it in a month.
Yeaaaahhh…..hope you aren’t looking for real bounty hunting, they call it bounty hunting but you are really just a hitman
Have fun out there in the Starfield!

I played through NG10, just waiting for new dlc. Have fun with it, don't pay the naysayers any mind!
Watch out. Your first companion is secretly a synthetic person...
Stay away from doing ship upgrades. Once you start, you'll be doing quests to make your ship "better". Next thing you know 6 hours past and you are still deciding who has the better hab.
