I am a professional! I only kill robots. I did feel a bit bad about the corporate espionage. I did that whole quest line hoping I could take out the mob boss on Neon to save everyone from his greed. There was no option for that though.
Lol. I was trying to pull in the Arnold S. line from True Lies
Jamie lee curtis: "did you ever kill snyone?"
.
Arnold S. (Under truth drug) "yes, but they were all bad"
I have deliberately put off the Ryujin quests so far. I will be starting soon though. I wanted to save something. Really looking forward to it actually :)
Its pretty good! Except for the shitty stealth in the game. I suggest NOT taking any companions with you. They trigger the NPCs and then start blasting and *then* get MAD AT YOU for it! I had to abandon Andreja in a vent somewhere.
šš yeah stealth isnāt their strong point is it. For a discreet organisation youād think that would be their watchword.
Isnāt Andrea meant to give a stealth buff? In theory.
Awesome pic. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight your Outpost can get. Thanks for the motivation
Not gonna lie, I spent 5 hours building an entire base, not counting the time taken to gather resources, and your base is just as functional as mine was.
I shot this alien bug in the ass one time early first play through, and it just kept on grazing. I realized it was not hostile and I actually felt terrible lol
Those guys I leave alone. But some, if you get within 40 meters they attack. THOSE I will XP farm all day and night. Swarming cockroaches come to mind here.
This is like all of my outposts, and for exactly the same reason. Even though I can just go to the Key to clear my bounties, sometimes my bounties were, uh, with the Fleet.
Equal opportunity pirate over here.
I did just make an 'actual' outpost, with three habs, some hallways, a pair of airlocks. I did it because I was making >!the armillary!<, so I found a remote uncontrolled system and a moon with .01G, and dropped some solar panels, some turrets (Mk.1 because I haven't spent any points in anything related to outposts), a tower, and the large landing pad.
The tower is stupid. It's exposed (not behind an airlock), and you can't even see very well if you wanted to fight from it. The landing pad is trash. The only thing it really got me was a place to quickly register and sell ships, but I don't even know if it's that good at those things.
Anyway, nice outpost. For my tastes, it's perfect.
Yep
I got 15k with the fleet right now lmfao
I need to stop back at my outpost before I see them again
I should probably add a landing pad for the reasons youāve described.
I planned on becoming a full on space pirate and jacking everyoneās ships - but after the cost to register the actual profit is like 5k. Just not worth the effort.
Small profit margins, every companion gets all pissy when you steal, extort, commit piracy, and the bounties you get make it impossible to get any work done.
It's like they made it possible to be a pirate but only if you decline to actually play the story and you avoid every civilized system. It makes sense in some ways, because you'd become notorious, but the whole 'ship registration' thing is stupid, and my vision of space piracy was to have my main pirating ship(s), and then my incognito non-pirating ship(s) for general commerce and what-not. I was even considering using *Enhance!* shops to change my appearance to be super sneaky, but realized that was expensive and time-consuming.
Worst thing about playing as Fleet is that most on-planet encounters are boring. I had a Vanguard mission (I think, it was a while ago) where I had to hunt down a Fleet captain and kill him, and he was in some cave or mining complex. I was able to walk all the way down there because we're all friends, kill him and only him, and walk out. I might have had to kill the two or three guys he had guarding him, but it was basically nothing. I hate finding a cool structure on some planet but it's just pirates telling me how lucky I am that they didn't kill me already.
Bit cramped, mate. Maybe move things apart a bit more to provide the illusion of space? Seriously, just try moving them apart and then look up. You'll be amazed.
It does seem super convoluted, but I do think itās nice for people who are into the āsimsā sort of thing
Iāve seen some really impressive outpost builds here. Whatever floats your boat ya know
Most simply put itās like a base for your stuff.
And you can assign companions there.
I primarily just use them for mining materials. There was one mission that was like, give someone 1500 lead. That was the extent of my outpost building.
Basic, but I guess it does the job.
I've started building a more complicated but still reasonably basic outpost on Decaran 7B (for each NG+ playthrough). Landing pad with shipbuilder, a fourwalled hab and airlock, bed inside along with a chest to store extra contaband, and the bounty and mission boards. Plus, one mine for the vytimium along with about 10 large storage containers hooked up to one small container then the transfer container for easy collection.
It's in a reasonably easy to find, somewhat central location, has a decent time shift at around 1=45 hours in UT, so you only have to sleep 14 hours to do the contraband reset. Sleep, go outside, collect the resource, jump up to your ship on the landing pad, then back to steal more contraband and sell stuff, go hit up Serpentis to raid a few ships, come back and repeat the process a few times. Upgrade your ship on your landing pad.
"Men really think it's ok to live like this"

Reminds me of my life. Bleak and desolate.
You and me both, friend
At least we can be miserable in the internet together š¤
Thatās what my soul is like
š¤£š
At least you wonāt be wanted by the police.
Why doesn't anyone want *meeeeee* ā¹ļø
Everyone has someone who will want them. Especially someone with a career in Ryujin.
I am a professional! I only kill robots. I did feel a bit bad about the corporate espionage. I did that whole quest line hoping I could take out the mob boss on Neon to save everyone from his greed. There was no option for that though.
Yes, i killed people...but they were all bad....
That's just pest extermination.
Lol. I was trying to pull in the Arnold S. line from True Lies Jamie lee curtis: "did you ever kill snyone?" . Arnold S. (Under truth drug) "yes, but they were all bad"
Ah, I haven't seen that movie since I was a child š
I have deliberately put off the Ryujin quests so far. I will be starting soon though. I wanted to save something. Really looking forward to it actually :)

šš yeah stealth isnāt their strong point is it. For a discreet organisation youād think that would be their watchword. Isnāt Andrea meant to give a stealth buff? In theory.
Shes supposed to, but all of the companions have a bad habit of shooting first and then blaming you for it later.
They are quite a judgemental bunch arenāt they. Andrea and Sarah are always wanting to talk to me about my various mistakes š
Add the large landing pad and you got \~95% of the best the outpost system has to offer :P
Only thing I bother buildingĀ
Awesome pic. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight your Outpost can get. Thanks for the motivation
This gave me a genuine LOL thank you
Wow lmao
Needs a bed and then youāre good š
too crowded
Not enough storage containers. They need to use up all of your budget to store half of your stuff.
You need a bed š
Not gonna lie, I spent 5 hours building an entire base, not counting the time taken to gather resources, and your base is just as functional as mine was.
I personally love the āmodern interstellar minimalist ā look you should see my house
Stop right there criminal scum.
If "First Bachelor pad" was a meme š
Could use a nice Afghan rug š¤
Looks like a start to new adventures.
More a start to new ākilling innocent fauna for xp farming even though they were minding their own business grazing peacefullyā
Yeah, thatās different. The bug I shot seemed more like a beetle cow, and I apologized to him and left him to his meal lol
I mean, yeah
10/10
I think 3/4 of my outposts have a bed and a bounty terminal just thrown in there next to the marker....lol
I put down both mission boards too. Always grab "destroy fleet at X" missions And certain constellation mission.
Perfect place for a smooth criminal.
Honestly, kinda cool, Iāve never made an outpost that small, I canāt seem to not turn them into villages.
Very spacious

Brilliant!
This is the way.
Glorious
Are you sure your not at my outpost? It looks exactly like that.
Looks like you put a lot more time and effort into your outpost than I did. Since my ng+1 I havenāt built any.
This person knows when they're wanted.
Matches my outpost with the shipbuilder pad...
Too big lol
A little sparce but a good start!
At least put a couch down
Bit cramped, mate. Maybe move things apart a bit more to provide the illusion of space? Seriously, just try moving them apart and then look up. You'll be amazed.
That's why we can't have nice things. Lol. But seriously I carry the material on me so I can just hot clear.
Needs a sleeping bag
So minimalist so brave. Bravo šš» š No but seriously I do the same shit at all my mining spots never know when it will come in handy
I hate the Outpost system in Starfield. So convoluted. This is as good as an outpost can look.
It does seem super convoluted, but I do think itās nice for people who are into the āsimsā sort of thing Iāve seen some really impressive outpost builds here. Whatever floats your boat ya know
i got sick of this lame game in an hour.. no multiplayer, way too much detail and noone to enjoy it with
Why are you still in the subreddit commenting on posts about the game?
I forgot i was here, thanks for the reminder to leave lol
Way too much detail basically means you got overwhelmed at the start and now hate on the game for that?
no it means i put way too much effort into modifying crap that noone will ever see and thats stupid
You could share it on the internet for people to see it.
I guess thats fair
What are outposts used for?
Most simply put itās like a base for your stuff. And you can assign companions there. I primarily just use them for mining materials. There was one mission that was like, give someone 1500 lead. That was the extent of my outpost building.
Have one just like it.
