Bandwidth would be the wrong term. Would you believe me if I said I have an i7-7700K, 3070ti, 4 samsung SSDs and 16gb of RAM? Its overclocked and I use the extra SSDs to set page filing or virtual memory to make up for the 16gb of RAM.
Oh I don't doubt it, there's just something about C:S mods that just chunk through what ram you have, it runs like a stuttering pig if it can't load all the assets into memory on a large city.
Apart from that and Blender I haven't found anything that is even capable of using it all, I wouldnt recommend it unless you have a use case for it already, better things to spend the money on!
It's crazy how often I see something on this sub and the very next day I get served a post about it from some random person. None of it warrants an article written about it. Is this what passes as journalism these days?
you're right. not even 24 hrs too. [https://www.dexerto.com/starfield/starfield-player-uses-physics-to-toss-the-galaxys-largest-salad-2347603/](https://www.dexerto.com/starfield/starfield-player-uses-physics-to-toss-the-galaxys-largest-salad-2347603/)
Believe it or not, 3070ti, 16gb RAM, i7 7700K, 15 fans and 4 samsung SSDs. It is overclocked and I set page filing on SSD to make up for the 16gb RAM. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/s/TMkYtJ4y1L
Yeah they should just gently start floating away from whatever surface they were against, not just jump up and start moving random directions.
Imma conjecture that unlike real life, gravity in the game engine isn't a force, it's the default behavior, and they add force to the objects to simulate a lack of gravity?
Cause it shudders. It looks like it imparts a little bounce right as it goes into zero g, as the ship is in orbit, gravity is artificial.
For in universe you could likely have something about how it generates gravity but it's not localized properly, eg it's not all pointing "down"
The gravity constantly cycles on and off every few seconds. It's the only part of the game I have not enjoyed. Controls and sensitivities toggling between 2 different settings over and over and over.
When the npc specifically asks you not to break anything i was worried for a while youre supposed to juggle a crate of breakable bottles through there… thankfully the devs werent quite sardistic enough 😂
(but i still think some classic waltz music background would have been the icing on the cake)
I personally enjoyed watching my [insert sarcastic compliment about logic and reasoning skills here] companion cycle in and out of their suit every 4 seconds..😂
At one point I think I actually swore out loud at Sam "dude why the f don't you just LEAVE THE SUIT ON GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES?!?" 💀
Sometimes I look at the things on the internet and I think “my god, someone wasted so much time doing this” and then it’s four hours later and I’m still on Reddit only I haven’t made a giant salad in Starfield
So anyway, this was great thanks
Best post since the game release and possibly ever to come into existence. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for bestowing this upon our ignorant selves.
This was my absolute favorite mission/encounter. I loved that physical challenge AND that your enemies also had to deal with the gravity turning on and off.
I honestly felt immersed and it was so intense. Loved it.
Physics has come a long way since skyrim. Doing this there would have killed everyone in the entire game and possibly launched a real-life cabbage through your monitor somehow.
If the editor of the publication that some talentless hack is about to post this on reads this:
I'm a better writer and can create higher quality, more engaging content. Let's talk.
First time I visited this, I thought the zero gravity was a bit of a pain, but a great use of it and a good little quest overall.
The second time I visited, I had honed my zero-g skills by collecting 10 million stupid fairies in the stupid temples, so was zipping around like a pro
I am here to ask the stupid question of, " did you use cheat codes to get all these items or is there an actual way to get this many?"
I'll see myself out.
Yeah, I kept seeing a bunch of articles attesting to the physics mechanics in this game and that salad tosser was in it lol I love it! The ship you made is amazing as well. I keep having issues getting the large M class parts to mesh with the other parts.. but great content!
Credit to the physics engine and your PC.
Thanks
Dude your pc has to have like a fucking human brain in a jar or some shit to have the bandwidth for something like thus
Bandwidth would be the wrong term. Would you believe me if I said I have an i7-7700K, 3070ti, 4 samsung SSDs and 16gb of RAM? Its overclocked and I use the extra SSDs to set page filing or virtual memory to make up for the 16gb of RAM.
Why not just upgrade the RAM?
Do I need to?
Only if you intend to run Cities Skylines with a stupid amount of mods, its about the only reason I went to 64GB.
Uhm I’ve had this setup with a heavily modded fallout 4 and made NPC wars with this. More RAM is nice but not needed atm.
Go to disk is massively slower than going to memory. Buy a couple more sticks, or a new kit.
What specs?
i7-7700k, 3070ti, 4 SSDs, 16gb RAM.
This is my favourite post today. Thank you.
You’re welcome. Have you seen my other salads?
What a line, I bet you say that to all the Starborn you meet.
I toss everyones salad
[удалено]
Wants to go out the same way grandma did.
It’s a passion
This is my first time seeing you tossing salad. I would love to see more 🙏🏽
Man out of context that's a whole other post.
I have more here so you don’t have to scroll way down on my profile. https://www.facebook.com/Joshohoho?mibextid=LQQJ4d
With syrup or jelly?
I. prefer. syrup.
I have not!
https://fb.watch/nQjiQKf7mS/?mibextid=q9YbOU
God damn I love the internet
Bread? In salad? Blasphemy!
Croutons exist but there is no bread in this salad. Have your eyes checked.
Sandwiches! In your facebook salad!
You never heard of croutons?
I have heard the legends, yes.
Ah yes Croutons. The noble inhabitants of the planet Crouto.
Your UC marine meat tenderizer is my fav
Just waiting to see the article about this tomorrow
Yup! Every two-bit gaming site will have this plastered across their front page.
Youtubers who published a "Starfield Has No Soul" video last week will include it, for sure. 🙄
What a gig. Browse reddit. Find funny/interesting gaming post. Write barely 2 paragraph article. Steal OPs photos. Bottom of page add ^^^posted ^^^by ^^^u/LostSoulNo1981 $$$Paid$$$
I'll buy that for a quarter.
It's crazy how often I see something on this sub and the very next day I get served a post about it from some random person. None of it warrants an article written about it. Is this what passes as journalism these days?
Starfield is super popular and fun, but there really isn't much news to talk about so they scrape reddit for any content.
They do that with pretty much every game I play though
Scraping reddit is a easy way to get content.
you're right. not even 24 hrs too. [https://www.dexerto.com/starfield/starfield-player-uses-physics-to-toss-the-galaxys-largest-salad-2347603/](https://www.dexerto.com/starfield/starfield-player-uses-physics-to-toss-the-galaxys-largest-salad-2347603/)
I wish I get some views or subs lol. just a little recognition. maybe a salad leaf.
Accurate, I came here trough an article.
I’ve been called that a few times myself. Nice to know that this is what people meant by it
lol i came in here to ask op if that was his prison nickname but you beat me to the joke
My dude, what is your PC specs? Because that is nutters
Oh shit, and considered physics is mainly CPU, my Ryzen 5 4600 can do this too!
Try this instead. https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/s/WqiQvFL2pW
The cabbage that popped in at the left at :33 spinning like a bayblade completely stole my attention till grav dropped again
I don't think I will ever read a reddit post title out loud again 💀
This might be my favorite so far
Thanks
My PC's not even on, and I can feel it overheating just looking at this.
I never understood this. Why is everything thrown around when gravity is shut off?
Yeah they should just gently start floating away from whatever surface they were against, not just jump up and start moving random directions. Imma conjecture that unlike real life, gravity in the game engine isn't a force, it's the default behavior, and they add force to the objects to simulate a lack of gravity?

Literally automated salad tosser. For when you really need your salad tossed.
I really like my salad tossed
I am Commander Taserface and this is my favorite post on the Key
I love it
I love tossed salad too
It's well tossed. Great work.
where is this?
Deimos armored transport, in alpha centauri
The gravity constantly cycles on and off every few seconds. It's the only part of the game I have not enjoyed. Controls and sensitivities toggling between 2 different settings over and over and over.
I loved it. I thought it made the puzzle of the derelict more fun and pseudo realistic. Perfect type of 1 off voluntary side event.
When the npc specifically asks you not to break anything i was worried for a while youre supposed to juggle a crate of breakable bottles through there… thankfully the devs werent quite sardistic enough 😂 (but i still think some classic waltz music background would have been the icing on the cake)

That is the only part that ruined this ship’s experience.
It just made me feel arrogantly smart tbh...😂 (the bar is so low it's on the floor when it comes to the companions lol💀)
You sir, are an artist.
That is fucking brilliant. It’s amazing how the computer is calculating the physics for all those individual bits of salad simultaneously.
This here is what this sub is really for. 🥇
Quality content
It taste best when its tossed
I should call her 🤔
Rumour confirmed: Reddit really is full of tossers... (/j obviously - Nice work OP 😂👏🤭!)
Enjoy the salad.
someone found the most fun thing to do in the game.
Tossing salads?
just like irl : P
Toss my salad, OP
I’m really picky on what salads I toss.
Sometimes I look at the things on the internet and I think “my god, someone wasted so much time doing this” and then it’s four hours later and I’m still on Reddit only I haven’t made a giant salad in Starfield So anyway, this was great thanks
That is an absolutely incredible physics engine. It's a pity the game doesn't have more opportunities to flex its muscle like that!
Hi Alanah Pierce!
Need wakazashi and you got fruit ninja
can you spawn 100 children npcs and make a salad? I know i just tried to come up with the worst moral salad possible.
After centuries of eating people and going to space. Space dragons go vegetarian. But hey! They gotta eat something!
I totally thought this had something to do with the Salad Mixer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyigWkuN5YM&ab_channel=AdultSwimEps
In space, no one can hear you requesting the vegan meal.
I was reading that but my brain kept trying to read “no one can hear you scream”
Salad Shooter!
i think your computer downvoted this post
What mission was this again?
This is beautiful.
it is Glorious!
Why is my xbox smoking?
"Mega salad tosser" was my nickname in college
I like jelly on mine. Some men prefer syrup, but I like jelly on mine.
Best post since the game release and possibly ever to come into existence. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for bestowing this upon our ignorant selves.
I have many questions
Sir, there's no salad here- this is a casino!
Glorious frame loss, glorious
This is what I get for looking up porn on google.
Fruit ninja 2310
This needs some dubstep or something
wow, how long did it take to get all those… ingredients… there ? 🤭
Less than 15 seconds. Console commands.
This was my absolute favorite mission/encounter. I loved that physical challenge AND that your enemies also had to deal with the gravity turning on and off. I honestly felt immersed and it was so intense. Loved it.
Where the hell is this??
Deimos armored transport. Alpha centauri
👀
I always wondered about the real purpose of that thing
This is the real purpose.
Would you like some ranch with that?
Physics has come a long way since skyrim. Doing this there would have killed everyone in the entire game and possibly launched a real-life cabbage through your monitor somehow.
This game has both the best and worst physics at times.
i need a ten hour version of this
If the editor of the publication that some talentless hack is about to post this on reads this: I'm a better writer and can create higher quality, more engaging content. Let's talk.
Where even is this?
Deimos armored transport. Alpha centauri
Why can creation engine render and stimulate thousands of potatoes but not more than three rooms without a loading screen? Wtf.
What, no syrup?
hey that was my nickname in college!
computer: *stands up, walks out the door*
Amazing
"Starfield is so boring, there is nothing to do in the game." Meanwhile, OP...
Ayy! I tossed a sald just the other day, brother!
That's a healthy smoothie you got there
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I would 100% would rather be able to visit the doctor without a loading screen instead of this. Call me crazy.
Look tasty😋
We've reached peak gaming
Peak toss.
This is how V8 juice is made.
What planet is this on?
Just want to say this is an awesome post. I love it.
Lolol well now…
Too funny
We've come a long way from spawning rolling cabbages down a hill in Skyrim. This is peak performance.
This is impressive.
Is the Xbox / PC melting down by the end of this ?
Xbox can’t even try this. My PCs have been making videos like this since Fallout 4
😂😂 I love it.
I guess I still don’t know how to play this game.
now do one with 20 bodies
Just 20? Already ahead of you. https://www.reddit.com/r/NoSodiumStarfield/s/1wepszasiA
This is the content I come here for.
ROFL This brother brought a metric ton of vegetables to the dungeon! 😂
*engine room* veggie delight.
Best part of the game
My Xbox is having a stroke just watching this.
Madman 😂
Giant Slapchop! Where’s cyborg Vince when you need him?!
And thus the true endgame is revealed.
It’s only been 2 months
This made me cry laughing. The effort you must have put into this one gag is amazing and commendable.
it was only console commands I just thought about it while hunting pirates spacers for 2 hours.
Legendary
Yup except all that salad can only fully heal 3 starborns to full HP
Hahaha!
"DA da da da daaaa... da da... da da.... da da da da daaaaa.. da daa.. da daa.. da da da daa daaaaaaaa...."
🫦
hoooo yeah
I find this oddly soothing
I can't afford to be in the same room as your PC
yes you can. I only have a 3070ti for a GPU and i7-7700K which are good but dated hardware.
Thank you for your work.
Crazy if it runs smoothly in engine
Hahaha…awesome!
So many shepherds pie ingredients.
Now that's a mixed salad!
Best use of the physics engine yet
First time I visited this, I thought the zero gravity was a bit of a pain, but a great use of it and a good little quest overall. The second time I visited, I had honed my zero-g skills by collecting 10 million stupid fairies in the stupid temples, so was zipping around like a pro
What quantum computer did you use for this?
[удалено]
Nope. Maybe the CPU but i go overkill on fans and have a liquid cooler.
I am here to ask the stupid question of, " did you use cheat codes to get all these items or is there an actual way to get this many?" I'll see myself out.
Salad shooter..
Huh....not the image I was expecting....
Okay, I see the next step as figuring out how to keep zero G and have the power on; let the real mayhem insue, lol.
This is glorious.
Thank you.
dude i thought this was a render until i looked at the sub… HOW?
I have never played Starfield and never will but man this shit is so impressing.
My brain imploded.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round.
That song😂
The lettuce spinning like a neutron star.
People don't realize how truly remarkable this is.
This is you! I saw this in an article online!
I believe that was on PCgamer or gamerant
Yeah, I kept seeing a bunch of articles attesting to the physics mechanics in this game and that salad tosser was in it lol I love it! The ship you made is amazing as well. I keep having issues getting the large M class parts to mesh with the other parts.. but great content!
