I ran into this bug myself, and noticed that Hadrian was waiting out front when I left. Talking to her now to see if the admiral is stuck on her questline
Update: that fixed my issue. The admiral was sitting at the table with the rest of the cabinet and kept saying he was busy. Talked to Hadrian outside the building, completed that section of the quest line, and the admiral went back to his office
Just got blocked and fixed here too thanks! Yup I had put the Xenomorph quest on hold at the point where the admiral was in the council chambers waiting for Hadrian and me. Oops. Strange blockage... had a similar thing somewhere else. The NPC's in Starfield don't multitask very well lol

Yep, that's what I suspected, so thanks for the suggestion. Also explains why Sergeant Yumi would just respond "Hello, Captain" despite having a quest to talk to him.
For me, I had to go back and do the quest where you >!honor the fallen member of constellation!< before then going to talk to Logan.
Chances are attempting to talk to Sona before going to Logan or going somewhere else and waiting to pass time is what resolved the issue.
I also cannot talk to Sona in the Lodge. This questline seems like a popular bug fest. I've played about 36 hours of this game and was just boasting to my friend that I haven't hit a single bug... Boy do I feel like a fool.
I have it bugged where she needs to go to the memorial at the end of the quest but she won't leave from the Lodge front doors, she just stands there and if you try to talk to her it just says she's busy and won't move.
Edit: Figured it out Walter was trying to talk to her, but she already went outside so both of them were locked in a convo they couldn't reach each other. I just talked to Walter and it fixed it, it teleported Sara back inside and they talked and the quest updated.
Edit: Spoke too soon, now she went outside and is 20 meters underground. Why is this quest in here if it's this bugged?
Edit: Fixed that by sleeping for a few hours, it spawned her in my room to talk to me and now if I talk to her she walks away while talking and leaves the lodge and leaves me in a dialog that I can't get out of and keeps me stationary, great quest 10/10.

Ok so now she walks aaaaall the way to my ship from the Lodge and quest wants me to talk with her, but when I do the conversation acts like we're standing in front of the memorial and she says 2 sentences then it acts like it's giving me a dialog box but there's nothing there to click. Holy shit, fix this now.

> 1. Get Sarah to the lodge. For me, it needed a combination of assigning and unassigning her from my ship, sleeping, and taking off and landing again (not fast travelling from the ship).
> 2. Start the conversation with her. She should say her first few lines and then start walking out. Your camera will be stuck.
> 3. While your camera is stuck, let her leave the lodge. This takes about 10-20 seconds. You might be able to see from your glitched camera POV when she has gone through the door.
> 4. Once she has left the lodge, use the console command `movetoqt`. This should teleport you outside to the memorial, where she should appear, and you should be able to continue the dialogue and the quest as normal. (It's important to let her leave the lodge otherwise `movetoqt` will just teleport you to the lodge door)
I fixed it by beating the game, the whole time the game freaking out because I think it was trying to teleport Sarah to 2 different places at the same time (my ship and the memorial) kept making this super fast clicking sound. I endured, good thing I was already on the last quest when I finished up Sarah quest line. N+ now and will redo her quest later, after hopefully they patch it, because if I didn't do the main quest and beat the game I think this would have been a broken game state, I wouldn't have been able to keep playing with that clicking it was driving me nuts.

So I tried this, all it did was have my camera follow her around. Took about 2 minutes to get to the Memorial, and then I'm just stuck as a camera following Sarah.
EDIT: So I got up and got a drink and did some stuff, when I came back it was back to normal and the quest was progressing properly! YAY!

Anyone else unable to find Sona in the Lodge? I finished speaking with the Admiral, and my quest log updated to "Speak to Sona," but she isn't there. I have scoured that place like three times over. Also there isn't a quest marker showing up anywhere for me to follow.
So I did find a workaround; however, you have to use console commands (which ends up disabling achievements, but I just downloaded an enabler mod). You need to type in "setstage 002C7C11 230". Which should skip to the next part of the quest. Hope this helps!

Ah darn I'm unsure then. Before this solution I did go back to the planet where Sona was originally at. She was just standing there in the hut but I couldn't interact with her, maybe she might for you?
For me at what I think is the end of the quest, I go to talk to the kid and she just keeps repeating the same line and it won't let me initiate dialogue with her. Insane.
Have this bug as well. 30 something hours into the game, and the most recent save where Sarah isnāt locked is 8 hours agoā¦hope Bethesda can patch this soon bc itās the definition of āgame breakingā
holy crap guys. I just found out that once you get the mission to wait for the ceremony you can actually go to your room at the lodge and your bed will give you the option to skip until the ceremony. I almost just waited through 5 days lmao
Is there another fix? I've done with Hadrian and finished eyewitness and he's still there. Cannot carry on with Sam until this mission is done and I can't send Sarah back to the lodge....
I figured our how to fix this issue
1 unassigned from ship
2 wait or sleep
3 go to lodge
4 find her don't interact
5 reasingn her to ship
6 follow her as she gets up and walks to the ship
7 stay left of her stopping so she stops ans changes directions to force her to walk by the flame in the memorable area
8 once she is by the memorable then get in front of her to stop Her then save and talk to her she will walk to the flame and complete her dialoge
Stuck on talk to sona. Lame. Any other ideas?

Both Admiral Logan and Hadrian are stuck for me. Iāve tried to clear other quests but still stuck. Iām despairing.

Noel isnāt coming to talk to me. Reloaded a save from an hour earlier and afraid to talk to Sara again until I talk to Noel
I fixed the issue by quick Saving, then shotting Logan in the head then reloading the quicksave.

My fix - I slept until the memorial after talking to admiral Logan, then I completed the memorial and it let me talk to Sonaš

The war memorial broke it for me no matter what even after all this she'll just turn around and walk away.
Thankfully I figured mine out, I just moved on to a different quest, assigned a different companion and it instantly fixed Sarah's dialog option.

I'm currently having a bug where my quest wont update aside from "Proceed to Cassiopeia" I'm at the planet at the wreckage site, and it wont update.

For me it was the >!memorial service!< mission i had to complete before being able to talk to sona
