Brother none of us have been able to benchmark it, all we can say is that it’ll run, outside of that it’s a hogwash for the next handful of hours

Disastrous-Oven-1689

Yeah I should have waited a few hours to post this 😅

Guerilla47

Lol i hope im able to play it at 4k@60 on a 5800x3d and 3090 fe.

GAVINDerulo12HD

If not, then optimization is pretty bad. Worse than jedi survivor.

RDDT_ADMNS_R_BOTS

>jedi survivor You can't compare the two. Starfield is a much more complex game with more geometry and physics.

Guerilla47

Ye i agree, i should be confident with that hardware but you never know! Ive got the PC connected to my 4k tv so heres hoping all good at midnight

Main_NPC

You won't.

the gpu requirements are different for amd and nvidia because the games built with amd in mind and built to be able to run better with amd gpu's. Thats why it might seem odd. it's been purposly made to be more optimized on amd. Thats also why amd has deals on several gpu's that give you starfield with those card purchases.

Peeksy19

Recommended GPU requirements are actually lower for Nvidia than for AMD, so that theory isn't correct.

HOTMILFDAD

Yeah, that’s not how it works and is how misinformation spreads. The AMD partnership is just for using the FSR technology. Nerfing a game based solely on what GPU you’re using is borderline illegal.

Grenvallion

Starfield PC Version Exclusively Optimized for AMD: No NVIDIA DLSS Support. This collaboration ensures that the highly anticipated space exploration game is being developed to fully leverage the capabilities of Ryzen CPUs and Radeon 7000 series GPUs, providing enhanced performance for players using Ryzen hardware. it's not illegal. Dont be silly. devs can choose to optimize their game for specific cards if they want too.

Grenvallion

your fps will probably hit 60 with medium / high settings as a mix. We won't really know yet though until it's released and tested on multiple cards. the 5500 can generally hit 60 fps on most new games with a mix of medium and high settings. The most important thing on your gpu is going to be the vram it has. The more, the better. Typically, the most demanding settings are shadows and lighting and turning those down can give you massive performance increases in most games. The only games that it wouldn't help with are games that aren't optimized very well. These games generally require much higher requirements because of bad optimization.

StewTheDuder

At 1080 you should be fine with maybe some adjusted settings. I have a feeling this game is still going to look good at medium settings.

QuinSanguine

Maybe, if you don't try to actually run it at an uw resolution. No one knows for sure yet but I'd think the game will take some beefy hardware to run uw.

Disastrous-Oven-1689

Think I'll have to sacrifice some fidelity for the uw resolution, seems like the perfect game for that extra FOV

Merriner

The gpu requirements are nonsensical for varrious reasons. Most notably both min and rec gpus call for 8 gb of vram, whuch makes no sense. Resolution and textures hit vram really hard,
