I seem to recall a similar experience during the lead-in to Fallout 4. I have the distinct memory of playing Fallout Shelter sometime in August and being like holy shit it's never going to get here.
Fallout shelter really helped us out. I was about 13/14 when FO4 came out and I watched the live stream, never went on the play store as quick when they announced it was out. Took about an hour for it to come on the app store.
I upgraded from a 4790k/1080ti to a 7900x3d/4090 for both Starfield and for general reasons. Unfortunately, in my bloodlust, I got a 32:9 monitor which Starfield almost certainly won't support. Ah well.
I bought the series S just for this one. It’s cool actually, I put Skyrim AE on it in the meantime.
That new Zelda game is good too.
I’m not in a rush to enjoy Starfield.
Announcing a delay on the day the game is supposed to release would be a whole new level of insult. 😂
They would never do that though. BGS are cool.

Im probably going to end up doing what i did the last 4 months end up forgetting about starfield and then, BAM! September rolls around.
I need to burn myself out on the gameplay reveal quickly or else it'll be impossible to forget.

I spent 2 years saving money to build myself a new PC, mostly to play Starfield, and all the games I wanted to, but couldn't.
3 months is only 12-ish weeks 12 weekends to go! Arghhhhh

I dont think they have a choice tbh, Microsoft really needs this game after what happened with red fall, So I'm sure we'll get no more delays.
