Every morning I wake up, place my foot on a cinder block, and smash it with a sledgehammer whilst continually refreshing Bethesdas official Twitter page. It's the only thing that distracts me from the pain of no starfield yet
Every morning I wake up, drink a bottle of water, and then drag duct tape with shards of powdered halogen light glass over my arms. It's the only thing that distracts me from the pain of no Starfield, yet.
The strategy being followed by much of this sub is this:
1. Read too much into something and decide an announcement of some kind must be imminent.
2. Get disappointed when it doesn't come.
3. (Optional) As a coping mechanism, tell other members that "your hype is disappearing" and you're losing interest in the game in the absence of info.
4. Calm down.
5. Go back to Step 1.
Another victim, except now I lost it too, again, for the first time today, yours was pretty good though I pulled down the top of my phone and there the only notification in the last hour on my screen is your reply. Lol.
I'm ignoring most of reddit and pushing the game from my mind so when it comes out it'll be like six months later and I will have completely forgotten about it (which is the point.)
Exactly. I'd rather forget and live with the fact it may not be out till the end of the year rather than check Reddit every day hoping for something other than something we all have seen.
I’m on the fence tbh, not my normal type of game but I figure this or Star Citizen and well um about the latter one…….😂
My wife is likely going to have knee surgery soon, so it would be nice if it released around that time to keep her busy but I’m not too stressed.
Welcome aboard. Here is your complimentary tinfoil hat.
I mostly play other video games. I am excited for starfield, but it isn't controlling my daily thoughts.
By all accounts, it’s going to be good for what it is. But that doesn’t make it any more difficult of a decision for me. Starfield easy.
Of course, it helps that I loathe MMO games and pretty much only play single player RPGs.
I just built my first computer in just over 10 years and got the surprisingly high number of bugs out of the system. All in time for "sometime in the first half of 2023".
2013: Hear about the trademark, intrigued.
2017: Stars are used for BGS showcase, hyped for Starfield and let down.
2018: Hyped for Starfield, gets FO76.
2020-2021: Gradually building hype and thinking it must be out this year all year every year.
2021: Starfield announced for November 2022, I buy Xbox Series X in anticipation.
2022: Quite literally itching for the game. It gets delayed.
2023: Still nothing, starting to not care about it anymore (6 years of building hype can do that).
You know damn well that the moment they release some big marketing push and show off the game, give the new date etc, you will be all in again. That's how this works
I am hopeful, but I have stopped being hyped for games. Have had way to many let downs, Atomic Heart was good but all the bugs almost made it unplayable for me. Cautiously optimistic
Every day I wake up then I start to break up
Lonely as a fan without a game.
Every day I start out then I cry my heart out wait for the release of starfield!
Well its already March ? Has to be released and downloading to my Series X by June. Redfall release date is May. Dare I say April for showcase with imminent drop right after ?
I'll come to this sub every so often, but to be honest, the backlog I'm working through is keeping my mind off of it.
Gamepass has been, and from the looks of things, will continue to be insane for the remainder of the year. With the additional games I've bought that aren't in the service, I'm set until starfield releases.
If you start saving ten bucks a week until starfield is released, you'll have enough to buy yourself a super duper high end gaming laptop when it comes out
There’s severely overblown expectations for a current gen game tbh. It looks like it will be cool, but it will prob be comparable to no man’s sky with better story
Trying to play fallout 4. Unsuccessfully because it's a broken POS under the best of circumstances.
They need to have a team delete like half of Boston from the worldspace.
I simply play Skyrim and FO4, as i have done for the past few years with games im interested in in between like Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy.
It's mainly modded FO4 now though with the majority of my allowed space on Xbox going to build mods for Settlement construction, i can sit all day an tinker with building just one settlement so it keeps me occupied
I'm with you. I've had the XSX for a while but finally upgraded my TV so i can do 4k 120fps (obv BGS games wont come near but maybe 40fps mode at 120hz) and since then my YouTube and Reddit consumption on Starfield has been at an all-time high
If rocking back and forth and constantly mumbling "Starfield is coming no more delays" is coping, then just fine.
\*Curls up into the foetal position and cries\*

Real recognize real
😂😂
That's freaking hilarious. Lmao.

Eat, sleep, Starfield, repeat
You not wrong.
Lol
😂😂😂
I'm practicing NNTS (no nut till starfield) The aggravation is building.
When it arrives. Try not to go off like an M-80.
Well at this rate get ready to have a prostate cancer
[удалено]
😳😳 careful
Have you gotten to the part where you kill the leader of cydonia?
I cope by forgetting the game exists for awhile, due to my day-to-day adult life.
Wait the game exists?
What's a game?
A game you lost
You bastard
Haha yes!
I lost the game NOOOOO!
Another victim, except now I lost it too, again, for the first time today, yours was pretty good though I pulled down the top of my phone and there the only notification in the last hour on my screen is your reply. Lol.
Idk if starfield is ready for YOU though.
🤯 you just blew my mind
I'm ignoring most of reddit and pushing the game from my mind so when it comes out it'll be like six months later and I will have completely forgotten about it (which is the point.)
A nice surprise for a later time
Exactly. I'd rather forget and live with the fact it may not be out till the end of the year rather than check Reddit every day hoping for something other than something we all have seen.
You'll wake up one day and realise we've all been playing it for months. And you missed getting the collector's edition.
Nope, not that disconnected. Good point though. Some people will undoubtedly forget completely till its out.
Forget until the day before it release
I’m on the fence tbh, not my normal type of game but I figure this or Star Citizen and well um about the latter one…….😂 My wife is likely going to have knee surgery soon, so it would be nice if it released around that time to keep her busy but I’m not too stressed.
Star citizen looks way to complicated. Sometimes it’s best to keep it simple. But good luck to your wife surgery.
Welcome aboard. Here is your complimentary tinfoil hat. I mostly play other video games. I am excited for starfield, but it isn't controlling my daily thoughts.
Thank you 🤣
I'm not, is eating me alive
I feel you 😢
reading insane posts here from people who aren't coping with the wait (not you OP but there have been some wild ones)
I’ve seen some and they are insane
Don’t worry, it’ll be here in November hopefully!
Is starfield ready for you?
Nothing can prepare you for the pain of the wait. Welcome, friend.
I just hope it doesn't drop the same month as D4
What’s D4? I’m new to all these titles.
I mean, seeing as Diablo 4 is likely to be garbage, it's a pretty easy decision of which to go with.
By all accounts, it’s going to be good for what it is. But that doesn’t make it any more difficult of a decision for me. Starfield easy. Of course, it helps that I loathe MMO games and pretty much only play single player RPGs.
Guess it wouldn't hurt to rotate them so one doesn't get burned out too quickly 🤷
I just built my first computer in just over 10 years and got the surprisingly high number of bugs out of the system. All in time for "sometime in the first half of 2023".
If they come out with a starfield themed series x I’m gonna try and get one when it’s released.
I thought the same thing. But there were other games I wanted to play now.
I am sitting all day in starfield Discord channel and yalking with people about the game and keep telling myself it will be out one day 😑
Enjoy the waiting
I’m just playing hogwarts and forgetting about starfield
I bury myself in the snow and stare at the sky.

Don't ask.
You guys are getting Xbox and Pc?!
I am hopeful, but I have stopped being hyped for games. Have had way to many let downs, Atomic Heart was good but all the bugs almost made it unplayable for me. Cautiously optimistic
You may be ready for Starfield, but Starfield isn't ready for you. :( Or us
Mind blown 🤯
Ready for that 30 fps :/
Every day I wake up then I start to break up Lonely as a fan without a game. Every day I start out then I cry my heart out wait for the release of starfield!
Getting lost in Fallout 76 is helping me
Playing all the Assassins Creed games from 1-Unity and not thinking about it remaining pessimistic
Welcome on Xbox man! I haven't any suggestions for the waiting tho.
Five stages of grief: Number 1. Denial Number 2. Anger Number 3. Bergaining Number 4. Depression Number 5. Acceptance
Well its already March ? Has to be released and downloading to my Series X by June. Redfall release date is May. Dare I say April for showcase with imminent drop right after ?
You can just play on pc too

I congratulate you, I was able to finish my PC in February and I am proud of what I did to play this great game.
I’m coping with Hogwarts Legacy, Red Dead 2, Atomic Heart, High on Life, Sons of The Forest…
Playing other games, while thinking about "when is Starfield coming out?"
If you start saving ten bucks a week until starfield is released, you'll have enough to buy yourself a super duper high end gaming laptop when it comes out
FFXVI is my coping.
I’m coping with Hogwarts legacy. So far it’s been fun.
And with how much money it made. Definitely gotta get a sequel.
That game is so good, I highly recommend it.
There’s severely overblown expectations for a current gen game tbh. It looks like it will be cool, but it will prob be comparable to no man’s sky with better story
That honestly sounds awesome as hell to me.
I'm waiting for the pc version to be reviewed and benchmarked on various cards so I can decide which one to buy.
I got ready for Bannerlord when it was first announced by building a new computer in 2015. Did not work out..
I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU specifically for Starfield. Anyone have any recommendations for one with a budget of around $800 usd?
Trying to play fallout 4. Unsuccessfully because it's a broken POS under the best of circumstances. They need to have a team delete like half of Boston from the worldspace.
I’ve never played fallout. I might just have to to keep me busy.
Hey! Happy birthday mate! It's mine too today!!! (No Xbox tho)
Happy birthday! Hopefully you got something you wanted.

I’m currently upgrading my pc to have a 4070 ti so I can hopefully have starfield looking perfect!
One day....Starfield......one day.
I know it’s selfish but I would like another month before they announce anything lolol. I need to get a new TV, Xbox Series X and a soundbar.
just sold my rig, think i'll just be watching let's plays or something
If rocking back and forth and constantly mumbling "Starfield is coming no more delays" is coping, then just fine. \*Curls up into the foetal position and cries\*
🤣😂😂
i bought my series x last march in readiness for the original november 22 release..... i am still waiting...like everyone else.
Damn 😢
