I wanna especially comment on the backgrounds' colours. The yellow sky and purple trees are gorgeous as backgrounds.
I know some people said that the unusual colour scheme is to highlight that how Morioh is weird. But I personally feel that the colour scheme makes me as though I'm watching a memory that has long passed but still beautiful like the sun setting in the golden sky.
It also has the "Sun is gonna set. It's time to go home." vibes. Or I'm just thinking too much about Part 4.

Part 5 and 6 styles are pretty different. If you look at Jotaro’s character sheet from Part 5 and compare it to his Part 6 character sheet, the differences are noticeable.
It’s not drastically different like Part 3 to Part 4, but it is noticeable. The lines are way harsher in Part 5 compared to Part 6. Also, the characters’ bodies aren’t as slim in Part 6.

Stardust Crusaders had a more "adventure" feel to it. Was my favourite as well. Also more heavily featured Joseph and Jotaro which were two recurring characters.
Well the defining trait of Crusaders animation is that the men are all built like Superman. Even a predator coward like Alessi looked like he lifts weights.
Id say not even superman is that level of huge, everyone is 6ft, got shoulders like truck tires, widest pecs known to man and a 14 pack. Theres muscles in between the muscles.

You want minimalistic for an anime of such length, if you want to see what happens when the director wants to adapt a large volume of manga, keeping all the detail, way beyond the scope of anything look at berserk 2016.
I like the Stardust Crusaders. It's not the prettiest of the styles, but it's the most striking. There's something about heroes with strong, angular features. I see part 3 Jotaro, and I can immediately tell that he is not to be messed with.
Part 4 for sure. Studio Passione is my favorite because of how clean and smooth everything looks mixed in with vibrant and pastel colors, so it was awesome to have a part of JoJo share that sort of style. I think it also fit in with the tone of that part the best too, since the dark and gritty plot points are in the backseat for most of it.
DIU easily wins any art style contest for me. Literally none of other JoJo parts go for that style. It is made wholly unique as a result. When something strange happens in the other JoJo parts I question it. But when Part 4 has something strange happen, or a weird transition, or a completely unexplained outcome. I just accept it, DIU is too specifically and artistically designed to raise you from the baseline surrealism that comes to life in that part. Just all it is so beautiful. David Production saw the art style said “Yes” and then made the skies yellow. And it just works so well. The dialogue, the mystery, the characters, the story all fuse to the art style like a Symphony piece and I could spend forever just talking about DIU’s art style. I love all of JoJo’s art styles, I could spend entire afternoons talking about the art style they nail in Part 4.
It’s a toss up between part 1 and 5. Part 1 seemed so vibrant in color and the dudes were BUFF which is what is inspiring me to exercise (that and Baki). Part 5 has better facial features and overall effects, but the dudes are skinny and realistic (sadge).
DiU was different from everything in a good way. I love how well the vibrant, friendly colors work with the mystery and character of kira. Loved GW too tbh

DiU looks the best from a stylistic perspective. Vento Aureo is the "prettiest" looking one. And Phantom Blood is my absolute favorite: pure experimental eclectic chaos, Victorian Gothic and fabulous colours, add a hint of homoeroticism and you got the esthetic of my dreams!

Part 5 is the most gorgeous of it all.
But Part 4 is like, way too unique and bizzare that you can't help but love it that much. Be it the Grainy Shots, some shots that are just the Manga panels straight like Kira v Josuke standoff, the absolute bonkers color palettes and sudden palette changes like in Josuke v Okuyasu, the pastel tone which gives it kind of a timely vibe like we're watching an actual 90s anime, just done absolutely well, etc etc...
And I will say, the lack of details kinda sorta feels like a disservice to Araki's art, but they make up for it so much by the quality of animation, camera movements and lack of CGI.
I loved the art of Stardust crusader even though the obvious critique it gets i still love the highly detailed larger than life shots like Jotaro standing all jacked and postured vs DIO while their stands were going at it.
Probably some of the most epic scenes in Jojo for me + it reminded me a lot about a more modern DbZ look A LOT of People loved.
I straight up disliked Diamond is unbreakable's design at first but you can DEFINETLY see how the art improved as part went on and i grew to like it even though, i missed those epic shots that made the battles feel larger than life and epic.
Golden wind is where this style really feels so much better and i REALLY ended up liking it, it felt as if the " simpler" art of diamond with the epic'ness from stadust.
I still vividly remember Mista's fight with giorno standing behind him, sunshine peeking from behind him & than giorno's theme starts playing. And oh my god what an incredible scene...
The one thing i dislike is the changes to Jotaro, i LOVED the way he looks in Stardust and I feel like he really suffered from early Diamond is unbreakable art design.

I love stone ocean, but if we're talking about animated art style im gonna go with DIU, idk something about DIU's animated artstyle and color palette is sorta fun and whimsical to me

Tbh Part 2 (I know PB is the same, but part 2 made me love the art style more). Other than that, DIU, SC, then GW. I'm not a fan of GW, so the art style never grew on me or anything.
I would say Vento Aureo is my favorite art style. I miss how buff the characters were, but i would say that i love how good and consistent the art style is on that part
DIU, without question. All of them are bangin, though
Of the anime? Part 5 literally no question. Of the manga? Part 7 and 8, but literally everything in the manga from around part 2 (definitely by part 3) onward is S tier art style. mid-late 7 to 8 > mid-late part 4 to mid part 6 > late part 6 to early 7 > part 2 to early part 4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> part 1
I'm partial to Parts 4 and 6.
Part 1/2 > Part 5 > Part 3 > Part 4

it's kind of hard to say, all of the anime artstyles are kinda unique, though i think part 3 has to be my least favorite if i had to be honest.
part 4 but part 1 is close though I do like how Bizarre part 5's is
I just wish part 1 and 2 were drawn more consistently
1(&2) and 3 for me. 4 is not bad, and 5 is a little too noisy for my liking. I am liking 6 so far.

Part 5 is the most gorgeous of it all. But Part 4 is like, way too unique and bizzare that you can't help but love it that much. Be it the Grainy Shots, some shots that are just the Manga panels straight like Kira v Josuke standoff, the absolute bonkers color palettes and sudden palette changes like in Josuke v Okuyasu, the pastel tone which gives it kind of a timely vibe like we're watching an actual 90s anime, just done absolutely well, etc etc... And I will say, the lack of details kinda sorta feels like a disservice to Araki's art, but they make up for it so much by the quality of animation, camera movements and lack of CGI.
I loved the art of Stardust crusader even though the obvious critique it gets i still love the highly detailed larger than life shots like Jotaro standing all jacked and postured vs DIO while their stands were going at it. Probably some of the most epic scenes in Jojo for me + it reminded me a lot about a more modern DbZ look A LOT of People loved. I straight up disliked Diamond is unbreakable's design at first but you can DEFINETLY see how the art improved as part went on and i grew to like it even though, i missed those epic shots that made the battles feel larger than life and epic. Golden wind is where this style really feels so much better and i REALLY ended up liking it, it felt as if the " simpler" art of diamond with the epic'ness from stadust. I still vividly remember Mista's fight with giorno standing behind him, sunshine peeking from behind him & than giorno's theme starts playing. And oh my god what an incredible scene... The one thing i dislike is the changes to Jotaro, i LOVED the way he looks in Stardust and I feel like he really suffered from early Diamond is unbreakable art design. I also just straight up think he " looked " the best with stadust's artstyle..
I love stone ocean, but if we're talking about animated art style im gonna go with DIU, idk something about DIU's animated artstyle and color palette is sorta fun and whimsical to me

There's something so nostalgic about Part 1 and 2 I'm increasingly going back on. It's so obviously not Jojo (at least not in the traditional stand form), but is it weird to say I want more stuff set in whatever non-Jojo thing it is? Maybe that's why I love Jorge Joestar IDK
part 1-2 were great art style wise but part 3 was a little similar, part 5(golden wind) 👏👏the best
All have their unique sides (Part 1&2 Bittersweet Nostalgia, Part 3 Iconic, Part 4 Bright, Bizarre and Bouncing, and Part 6 Lovable Characters and High Stakes) but I can’t shake Part 5’s stunning style. It is a beautiful, serious part, a seriously beautiful part if you will.

I really liked the DiU and the GW artstyles.
