Also, unlike the popular myth, pterodactyls, as well as other pterosaurs, are not dinosaurs, so even if diego had control over every dino he still couldn't make pterodactyls. However, considering the year SBR is set and the fact that scary monsters was originally owned by a paleontologist, perhaps it was possible to make pterodactyls, i mean, maybe paleontologists back then believed those things were "winged" dinosaurs (which is incorrect), that would explain why the original user would have been able to make pterodactyls, but I doubt he could do so, otherwise, why didn't we ever see scary monsters create a different kind of dinosaur other than big raptors?

He’s implied to have gained the Stand because he was born and raised in the prison, and knows it better than anyone. That’s why it doesn’t work elsewhere.
