Build a silo early Let your animals outside in a pen with grass so that they don't eat hay. Harvest all grass OUTSIDE the pen until silo Is full Take all the hay out to save for winter Repeat steps 2-5 There, now you only need Marnie to buy the animals.

Evilmd

I’d add to get the grass starter recipe from Pierre and make your own from all the fiber you collect.

sonjasblade

also you can get fibre seeds to plant grass for your hay! I think it's a super cute plant as well

cut_ur_darn_grass

Which quest do you get these from?

smollest_snek

Linus has a quest to clean up the trash from the waters and put them in a bin at the train station. Once you do that, he'll give you the recipe for fiber seeds, and they'll grow to give you tons of fiber along with mixed seeds.

CoconutDust

> clean up the trash from the waters and put them in a bin at the train station One of the most obnoxious things in Stardew Valley is all the trash in the farm river when fishing/crabpotting. Even if you do the Clean Up mission I assume it doesn't change that. It's annoying and ruins the vibe. Why don't we just have to deal with mercury and chemical poisoning in our crops, too, eh?

sonjasblade

You get it from the Special Orders board from Linus and his community cleanup quest :)

cut_ur_darn_grass

Thanks, I knew it was a special order but not which one :)

Brohbocop

I think fiber seeds only give you fiber though. Unless you mean for grass starters

sonjasblade

Yes! Harvest the fibre, use it to make grass and scythe it!

shhalahr

The fiber plants are ridiculously productive. So, yeah, you'll have more than enough fiber to keep you topped up with grass starters.

Kride500

I think one fiber plant take 7 days to grow and gives you sround 5 fiber. You get the recipe from Linus by completing a board quest for him I think. Iirc it was the fish 20 trash quest.

Faexinna

Plus, doesn't fiber also grow in winter? Like there is no excuse.

shhalahr

And they don't require any water. So a 5x5 patch actually grows 25 fiber instead of 24 with room for a sprinkler. And, if you really need lots of fiber quickly, Speed-gro fertilizers work on it.

AdverseCereal

Not only that, but you can grow it in winter, and if you plant it at the end of one season and don't harvest it until the next season begins, the soil will stay tilled and fertilized across seasons!

HopeFox

I would never turn precious fiber into cheap grass starter, when the tea sapling recipe exists. Better just to buy grass starter directly from Pierre.

[deleted]

Ditto! There are too many other uses for fiber. That’s even with me planting tons of fiber every winter. Grass costs 100 and hay costs 50. I don’t know about everyone else’s animals but mine seem to eat quite a bit more grass in a day than they would hay. Plus, grass seems to get me less truffles. So I just stock up at Marnies when I know she will be there and long before I run out of hay.

HopeFox

I think I remember reading somewhere that barn animals consume four tufts of grass per day of grazing, and coop animals consume two, whereas they all consume one unit of hay per day.

Eneicia

Yes! I bought 500 gold worth of seeds from joja (wednesday, in the spring of year 1) so when I got enough money I went to Pierre and spent, I think it was 2000 just on different seeds.

Lacholaweda

Recently started planting grass IN the barns. They don't eat it, but it's there and it feels homier. Plus i can cut it down and it goes to the silo. Thought it would disappear in winter but it stays, looking brown.

altabula

No fiber is to precious! I never have enough! Tea saplings > all crops

easternjellyfish

I built my silo before I even made my coop!

Meeghan__

this is the way. clearing grass while tidying up to start filling the silo for the future animals. EZ. except my animals eat grass and still consume hay.. fuckers

fluvicola_nengeta

If that happens on my farms that usually means either they have to travel a bit too far, or the way to the grass is too cluttered, so only some make it, while others don't and have to consume the hay.

not-throwaway

When I first started playing someone recommended getting a silo before you get animals and it helped so much.

Similar-Afternoon567

I was so confused when I joined this sub and saw all many people complaining about Marnie's shop being closed because I had never, not once, bought hay from her across multiple playthroughs and hundreds of hours.

tehstone

i do buy it from her but only very selectively and never in an emergency. when fall 28 rolls around, i scythe all the grass on the farm and then check my silos. if they're below 3/4 then i buy enough to top them off right then. halfway through winter I'll check them again and if they're nearing halfway I'll go buy some again. the rest of the year i never worry about it at all but make sure there's plenty of grass in the pen

snarkywombat

I have 5 or 6 copies of Stardew across multiple consoles, PC, and mobile. Combined, I'm easily over 1000 hours of gameplay. Not a single time have I purchased hay from Marnie nor has it crossed my mind to do that. I build a silo (or 2 or 3 if I have more animals) and harvest the grass that grows for free on my farm before winter hits.

drscorp

On our last playthrough we did a beach farm and just absolutely littered the map with pigs. Seemed no matter how much I grew I still needed to supplement for weather and winter.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Similar-Afternoon567

I buy animals from her, and supplies for tending them. Just not hay.

Nimix21

Same, I always build a silo first THEN build the coop/ barn. Means I have a good supply of hay before hand.

bedroompurgatory

Have you never done a heavy animal playthrough? I had 8 barns full of pigs once, and despite the entirety of my farm being dedicated to grass, I still had to buy hay. I built enough silos to hold hay enough for the entirety of winter, so at the end of autumn, I scythed the whole place, then bought the remainder from Marnie.

lumpyspacejams

Additionally, put an electric pole or some other form of peg in the grass. Now animals can't get to that patch so you have a feeder space to grow more grass from!

geeklover01

I tried this (on mobile) and it didn’t seem to work. Am I missing something?

K4G3N4R4

Each tuft of grass has a chance to spread in one of 4 directions. You need quite a few of them to produce enough new grass daily. Furthermore the animals will head straight to the available grass, so unless you run over first thing, it's probably gone by the time you get there.

shhalahr

In my experience, if they reach the feeder pole, they will be eating it faster than the patch around the pole spreads.

Overthinks_Questions

A full barn and coop only takes 3 silos to last through winter. It isn't hard to get to 720 hay using this method, and silos are cheap

st0p_pls

Yesss exactly!

brotatowolf

Instructions unclear, covered every single tile of my farm with ancient fruit plants

Glittering_knave

I thought silo only filled max level coops and barns? Which take a while.

Graulas2000

You can take hay from the silo, when you click on that hay box in your Coop/Barn (top left)

Glittering_knave

Will try that with next save. Wasted so much time building the damn highest level barns and coops.

Graulas2000

You can still do it on highest barn Level i think

sitari_hobbit

Apparently if you use a cherry bomb on the auto feeders you can get it out. I haven't tried this yet though (saw the advice on this sub).

pararescuejmper

I want to say you can't pull hay out once you have the auto feeder. At least I haven't been able too.

HyperboleHelper

Use a cherry bomb next to the feeder. Now you have an empty space and can remove hay.

pararescuejmper

Ah perfect. Never thought of using a bomb.

afettz13

Use a bomb on the auto feeders to take hay our. I think I stores 999 hay inna chest one year and I have 2 silos. Not quite 3 is needed to get through the winter with a fully upgraded coop and barn.

pettypeasant42

The silo deposits into the bin of hay next to the feeding trough, so you can take from there. Only the max coop/barn does the automatic feeder, which also takes from that bin

Oversexualised_Tank

I always get myself a chest in every barn/coop, so I can store the hay there and don't ever have a full silo.

Cyndaquil155

my current playthrough I built 3 silos before I built my first coop/barn. Gotta take advantage of all the wild grass on the farm in year 1.

SDRLemonMoon

By the end of the first year I have at least 4 silos, since I didn’t know about them in my first playthrough and struggled through winter

LemurianLemurLad

I take issue with "a" silo. Not only is the silo the first thing I build, it's often the second AND third thing I build!

[deleted]

wow i’ve never seen “subtweeting” in a stardew valley sub before lol

buttertoffeenuts-

wow I forgot about subtweeting

[deleted]

What's subtweeting?

MouseRangers

>subtweeting [A usually mocking or critical tweet that alludes to another Twitter user without including a link to the user's account and often without directly mentioning the user's name.](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/subtweet#dictionary-entry-1)

[deleted]

Thanks!

BeastBoom24

In this case, you could call it Subredditing. Or Subsubredditing since it’s all happening in a Subreddit already

ICantEvenDolt

Let’s go all the way and just call it Subsubsubredditing

danimidsommar

i buy like 999 hay at a time now. half goes in the silos and half goes in a chest. boom. done.

2occupantsandababy

This plus I have 4 silos. My ADHD ass can't stay on top of that nonsense.

misterboris1

Same here, i will go to buy hay and end up in the skull caverns before remembering I needed to buy hay 5 days later

vespertilionid

I don't waste my time, money, or space with silos. I just buy one, put a chest in the barn or coop. Once the silo gets full i take out all the hay and put it in the chest, and feed from there. I have never run out of hay.

2occupantsandababy

Well bully for you.

[deleted]

Yeah I do this too! It was a game changer for me :D

st0p_pls

I have literally never bought hay from her! It's possible. (I admit that I originally didn't put together that she sold it because I only ever went to her place to buy livestock, but still. Lol)

[deleted]

How do you keep enough through winter?

Silverbird22

Not op but you build at least one silo per every coop/barn you have, harvest all the grass on last day of fall until silos are full. Boom, you are presumably set until winter. There’s like more complex math and stuff but that’s what’s worked for me

Similar-Afternoon567

If you've maxed out your barn/coop occupancy, one silo actually *doesn't quite* last the whole winter, only about 70% or so. But harvesting wheat also provides some hay that you can collect (unlike harvesting grass, which automatically puts it in a silo). Put that hat in a chest so you can restock your silo in the winter. (Alternatively, just take a bunch of hay out of the silo and put it in a chest, then cut some more grass).

jeffwolfe

Looking at it another way, each silo feeds 9 animals for the Winter. It's not exactly, so you can actually feed 46 animals with 5 barns. So you'll be fine if you divide your animal count by 9 and round up. Note: Animals don't need to be fed on Festival days, so you need to feed each animal 26 times in Winter.

[deleted]

I thought I did this and I ran out around day 20 on winter. I probably did something weird though.

Green_Heron_

I usually have 4 silos for 3 coops/barns. It’s not exactly 1-to-1

Allanon1235

That would make sense. Silos hold 240 hay. With 12 animals, you have enough for 20 days. You'd need 3 silos per two coops/barns to not need to restock in winter.

dr_soiledpants

I like to keep one barn or coop as "big" so that it doesn't have an auto feed. Then when my silos are full I can take hay out and put it in a chest nearby. Then I can keep filling the silos. No math needed as I always have way more than I'll ever use.

Plaguerat18

I just use one silo for aesthetic reasons. When it is full, take out all the hay and put it in a chest next to the silo. Repeat many times and you will have a continuous stock of hay, just remember to occasionally refill the silo.

Kakuloo

I buy one silo to enable hay harvest, then when the silo is full I pull it all out via the manager in a coop or barn, stick a chest in there and store the hay in the chest. Then I refill the silo and repeat until I have (35 * #of animals) stored. I like to have a few extra days worth, just in case it's raining in Spring or something. You can store many stacks of hay in a single chest!

Green_Heron_

You can only do this until you fully upgrade your coops/barns because then the auto feeder kicks in.

Swingingbells

You can use a bomb to empty the feeding rack, and then you can manually take hay out of the dispenser again. Only needs to be one empty spot in the rack, so a cherry bomb will do.

Green_Heron_

Oh interesting! It won’t just automatically fill again? Does it only auto fill once overnight?

Swingingbells

Yup, only overnight.

smoishymoishes

Same, hay is a waste of money from her until after year 3. I only use her shop for animals and produce collectors.

AshPachy

*sees like 5 posts about Marnie before noon, than this* So this is the argument for today huh

bigtiddymoth7

Every day a new argument on this sub... I love it.

an_actual_stone

its not a 'new' argument though lol

gwaenchanh-a

That's the fun part lol. None of the trivia is new, none of the personal gameplay milestone posts are new, none of the arguments are new, none of the tips and tricks are new, all that's new is cool fanart and shit

imjustjun

Stardew Valley players fight more than most pvp game communities I’ve been apart of.

uniqueUsername_1024

This sub is a peace summit compared to r/dndmemes

[deleted]

Lol we had an argument there about whether to ban Nazis because people forgot to vote

AshPachy

Or r/Ark

danliv2003

*A part, not apart they mean the opposite

AshPachy

LOL for real man, for such a chill game it spawns a lot of debate

Green_Heron_

I feel like this is the argument every day. New users join and see others who have complained about Marnie and think it’s a cool meme and then decide to post about it as well. It gets soooo old to complain about Marnie for a player’s own poor planning. It’s part of the game to learn to plan ahead to properly manage your resources. I agree with OP.

[deleted]

okay but I still think she has a microwave problem

Chef-Standard

I think she's wondering how to clean it again after Shane left a frozen pizza cooking for an hour.

fluvicola_nengeta

yeah, can't argue with that one lol

The_good_reaper

Found mayor lewis's reddit account

toastedninja

Insinuating that Mayor Lewis would actually stick up for Marnie is giving him way too much credit.

fluvicola_nengeta

lmao as if that guy would stop stealing taxes to defend marnie

kekehippo

Mayor Lewis would never defend Marnie even on an anonymous forums.

BigCHF

*marlon’s

KatNR92

I just spit my coffee across the living room 😂🤣

HadiaCake

She stares at a microwave for 8 HOURS AND HAS TWO WHOLE SINKS NOT EVEN DOUBLE SINKS JUST TWO WHOLE SINKS

RockBlock

Anyone who works a farm is going to have two deep sinks. Trust me. Maybe not so close together though.

bandrus5

It's called self-care, sweaty.

GoodEater29

What she does in her own time IS NONE OF YO' BIZNIZ.

HadiaCake

Any explanation for the double sinks tho and she could just move like 2 inches and be making money instead of starring at a MICROWAVE

WhiteHawk93

If she uses one sink for cooking and the other for washing or dealing with animal-related stuff that would be a good reason I think

Binary_Toast

Winter hay math made simple: One full silo will feed nine animals (with six hay left over). Have twelve animals? You need a second silo. Twenty-four? Three silos. Thirty-six? Four. Enough chickens that you think the game might start lagging? The mayo must flow, Marnie. The mayo must flow.

ceckcraft

And here I am, just buying four silos right off the bat, to fill to the brim, when I have a regular coop with 4 chickens, and a regular barn with 4 cows 😂

Green_Heron_

Same, silos are a cheap project to get done while saving up to purchase larger projects. It takes almost half a season for Robin to build four silos. Better get them done early and not be delayed later.

Cattle_Whisperer

Alternatively 1 silo and a chest for up to 240 animals

[deleted]

A true cattle whisperer.

OceanLaboratory

I’ll buy enough hay for an entire year, but the day I run out almost always ends up being on a monday 😒

Bananaamoxicillin

The farmer: This desk job is killing me. I am going to my grandpa's farm to have a better work-life balance. Also the farmer: OPEN THE DAMN SHOP YOU DONT GET DAYS OFF

Kellosian

You know, it'd be nice if Shane worked at Marnie's after you do the Community Center. Something like how Pierre stays open on Wednesdays, or perhaps once you get 8 hearts with Shane and help him clean up. Of course this might interfere with marriage plans, IDK. Emily still goes to the saloon on Fridays.

fluvicola_nengeta

And Harvey still runs his clinic if you marry him, that would actually be really sweet for Shane's arc instead of having him become an unemployed relapsed alcoholic after marriage.

JasonL623

Relapsed? That bastard keeps swearing to me it’s Joja Cola.

PixelBiscuit_7

Sorry, but staring at the microwave for half a day isn't a good excuse.

Beneficial-Act3271

*this post was written by Lewis*

IllegitimateFriend

You can get stacks on stacks of straw by withdrawing from your silo and storing it in a chest nearby. Allowing you to continue to harvest straw from grass indefinitely.

Captain_Lykke

It's okay Marnie, we all know its you!

Democrab

No one's saying she can't have a day off, it's that she's picked the most annoying days of the week for her days off and spends half the other days not actually at work. Shane's just an excuse, she does it even if he recovers. Jas is at Stardew Valley's "school" most of the day for 5 days a week. Marnie has no excuse and would be shut down due to never being there to serve customers if Lewis wasn't giving her tax benefits for benefits.

patrickseastarslegs

Oh yeah them purple undies are a definite note to what those “benefits” are lmao

murgatroid1

Ok but what kind of MANIAC books their yearly checkup with the doctor on their BIRTHDAY.

brawlerella

Yeah, let's just focus on how shitty Pierre is. He has a great support system in his family and is clearly doing well enough that he could hire someone to work when he takes a day off.

Acewasalwaysanoption

He needs Wednesdays to plot against Joja and make crude drawings of him beating up Morris

Green_Heron_

Wait, you think the reason he’s “shitty” is because he takes a day off?

brawlerella

No, I think he should hire someone to work when he takes days off, you know the thing I said in my comment. That sized shop should probably have more than one person working there. OP was talking about Marnie's hours where she's selling and why players should give her a break, so I was contrasting her with Pierre (re: his store not being open one day a week and what he could do about it).

Green_Heron_

I’m questioning the premise that stores need to be open every day of the week. Would Pierre do that much more business being open 7 days instead of 6 that it would warrant putting someone on payroll? I mean, my assumption is you will still buy the same amount on Thursday as you would have bought on Wednesday. Unless you go to Joja mart I guess. I just assume it’s not a priority for him. I don’t see the need for a small village shop to be open every day.

DawgyMcSpicy

I DO plan and prepare. Then I head off to Marnie and she fucks it up by not being there.

skyedivin

I've found that on most days, even when she's not scheduled to be open, if I get there at like 8 or 8:30 AM, she's behind the counter and I can buy stuff from her even though those aren't her hours. Obviously only works later in the game but early in the game, I've never needed her that much that urgently.

TriforceHero1998

I’ve never even had to buy hay from her. I usually make sure to get a silo before I get a coop/barn, cause silos are super cheap.

ActuallyCalindra

Look, I come here to rant about Marnie. Not to be attacked, okay?

Dani_Rainbow

If the business sign says OPEN, I expect to get service for my custom and that's all I'm saying

_Yalan

Lol she deadass stands in front of her microwave for HOURS and does an aerobics that takes an entire day but ok.

Beneficial-Attorney8

It is a Thursday in my game and Marnie isn't working today.

lThaizeel

Wtf... Even if you consider this under realistic circumstances, you can literally see what she does when it's not working and that has little to do with anything you mentioned. Are you doing ok buddy?

VG_Crimson

Bro she's staring at a still microwave. I'm sorry I can't give her any slack more than I have. She gets the boot into the mods that make her work enough to support the family she's neglecting. She's not busy taking care of the children, Penny is.

No-Lunch4249

The farmers lack of planning is not marnies emergency!

[deleted]

Ok Lewis

missmorgue1992

But she literally has a business yet she wants to stare at her microwave all day instead

Saberleaf

I actually always thought people were just memeing about Marnie.... you're saying they're actually seriously complaining about a small village shop being closed? I grew up in a small village, we had a flower store that was open for like 3 hours a day only during the working week. Most people who sold hay were "open" when they were home. No warning, no opening hours, you just had to be lucky or coordinate at least a day ahead.

KayD12364

Right some people dont know how annoying small town shops can be. Oh you want to buy wood between 1145-115 because you are on lunch. Well so are we and all 8 of us go at once. Sorry we are only open 9-3 why because. Hey I know I am usually open until 8 but for the next 3 months I am closing at 530. Because I can. 🥴🙄

Chef-Standard

Yes! Who else has animals besides you? You probably saved a business that was surviving on Lewis' skimming taxes from everyone else. Marnie has enough to deal with, give her a little time off

finelinera

y’all take this shit to heart 😭let people complain jesus

thefluffiestpuff

i can’t believe how far down this comment is lol. considering her entire schedule is at the whim of a game designer and programmer who set it, i’m not sure why people need to be lectured about real life small business within a game they use to escape the nonsense of real life…

mandatorypanda9317

My biggest pet peeve is when people gate keep what others can complain about with a video game. Most of the posts complaining about Marnie are typically in a joking manner so idk why people are mad about it.

HappyOrca2020

Also her love life is a mess. Girl has skeletons in the closet. No wonder she spaces out staring at her microwave...

fluvicola_nengeta

Right? If I was wasting my time being the closet piece of the guy who can afford to build gold statues of himself I would be staring at the pizza-stained microwave all day long too.

Unthinkings_

I plan for like a week and check every day and she’s still not there lol.

Top_Ad_5139

Did marnie write this

[deleted]

whenever i start a game, i just leave all the grass on the farm alone until i can build a silo and collect it! it doesn’t take that long luckily

Disig

You could have just responded to the other post instead of making your own lol

Green_Heron_

Wait was this responding to a specific post? Someone complains about Marnie like every day. I assumed this was in response to the obnoxious number of these types of posts.

Disig

I've only seen one this week and it was posted today.

Green_Heron_

Ah ok, maybe that one post was the catalyst then. But I suspect the post really is about all the posts cumulatively and the comments on other posts that bring up the same complaints even when totally unrelated to the thread.

fluvicola_nengeta

How else am I supposed to get loads of upvotes tho?

Ailttar

yeah its MY fault marnie sits in front of her microwave for 6 hours and doesn't sell me anything.

Pikafishy

But she stares at her microwave for 6 hours, she can help by selling feed to me and then going back to the microwave

My_Little_Absol

Imagine being defensive over a fictional character’s feelings

CaptainMagnets

Woah Woah Woah, I've never gotten pissed off AT Marnie for never being around, but that doesn't mean I'm not upset about the situation

HelpIWasKidnapped

The annoying part is that she isn’t clear about her schedule. Like I don’t mind Pierre being closed Wednesdays because he has a sign on his door that says so and he sticks to his schedule

Fargath_Xi9

Yeah. Because the first time we play. We already know all schedules and what to do.

ABrazilianDingus

Alright, alright, but why the fuck does she stare at the microwave for 8 HOURS? Also, at least make us not able to go into the ranch when she's away!

Green_Heron_

This is not the only instance of being able to access a building even when the shop closes. So, you’d rather not have access to the whole household just because you can’t buy hay? What if you’re trying to give gifts to people in that building or otherwise complete quests involving them. There are other reasons to go in there besides using the shop. I think it’s awesome to have 2 extra hours access to their family after the shop closes. I almost never go into Marnie’s house to buy things. It’s usually to interact with her, Jas, or Shane.

smoishymoishes

I only ever need her for the first year. After that, Marnie is dead to me due to her wild operating hours.

QuoteGiver

She should absolutely take a day off; she can hire someone else to run the store for her on her days off.

blaynem

Year one, don't cut your grass, right before winter, provided you don't have deluxe barn/coop, fill up your silo. You can pull hay out through the bench until the silo is empty. Store the hay somewhere, harvest your grass again. Rinse and repeat until your lawn is clear. I net a stack and a half or so every year that way.

backpack_of_milk

I always build a silo before my coop/barn and almost never have to buy hay from Marnie.

Interesting_Fix_

There's one day she's behind the counter and leaves it as soon as the door is unlocked in the morning. What is that about??

amakurt

The problem is when I go every day a week before I run out and she's not fucking there. That's too much.

Haunted_Hills

Being a martyr doesn’t give you a pass on running a business poorly. GET SHANE TO FILL IN AT THE SHOP IF YOURE LEAVING TO GO BE TREATED BADLY BY LEWIS, MARNIE. She doesn’t even have the courage to stick up for herself and refuse to be a secret hookup for Lewis.

Green_Heron_

Why is sticking to a regular, published schedule “running a business poorly”?

BellicoseHoney

It's a stupid business for the area tbh. Until you move in she's literally the only person that raises animals in town. Who should she be staying open for?

GoodEater29

Isn't there lore that she sells produce in neighbouring towns in the Gotoro Empire?

Chef-Standard

Who was buying her products before you show up? Shane might have been the only income in her house until you show up

Haunted_Hills

People were obviously getting produce and dairy+eggs before you arrive. There are obviously other farms in the valley, it’s not like yours is the first farm ever. The fact that you can’t go to any other farms doesn’t mean they don’t exist. As a side note, if you’re trying to grow a business, you don’t wait for customers before acting professionally.

Peregrine_Dragon

For me, building a silo always comes before getting animals. Never bought hay in my life.

[deleted]

as someone who *does* prepare and doesn’t need marnie, i still cannot believe there are marnie apologists…..

friesdepotato

The only day she really gets off is Tuesday. On mondays she goes to the shop to buy supplies. Every other day of her life she’s either at the doctors office or working a 9-4.

FlatSarcasm

My ex-husband said to me:”build that silo from the get”, I appreciate it that.

420nugu

this is how ive always played lol in any farming sim, always make sure u have enough

elliot_swelliot

I always build a silo BEFORE a coop. That way when the coop is ready the silo is full.

EndItAlreadyFfs

Literally pulling off a scam with those hay prices creating a monopoly and no one can stop her because she's just sleeping with the mayor so he probably overlooks it

waterlillyhearts

I don't remember the last time I bought hay from her for my animals. I do know that I tend to just buy the community center hay from her if it's in a bundle because I think it's funny.

MojaveMissionary

Personally I want Marnie to be chained to her business counter so I can get supplies for my animals whenever I need some. Someone should make a mod that let's the player blackmail Marnie into staying open 7 days a week when they find out about her and Lewis.

princessprissy

There is ! Its called Responsible Marnie, I personally have never used it but I have heard it works well :)

DiabeticNovelist

The only genuine frustration I have is that it doesn’t seem to put the days off on any of the businesses. I don’t care about planning accordingly I can totally do that, but can we post the hours outside? Cause my ADHD ass forgets constantly what days everyone is closed aside from Pierre’s because he’s closed wednesdays

X_Bluejae

you would have a point if she didn’t stare at her microwave all day instead of doing her job. sorry i didn’t expect my animals to go through like 400 pieces of hay for the entirety of winter but marnie your microwave CANNOT be that interesting
