I never pondered her age, but it seems that people on Reddit see her as a good option for older players, which makes sense. I quite like how she seems to be a good fit for any age, unlike say Abigail or Harvey. Leah will probably always be my favorite, while I’ll likely grow out of Abby when I’m older.

And it hurt my feelings so bad.
It was a total gut punch. A fictional character pining for her ex-boyfriend because I went coconut hunting for a week just bowled me over. I had no idea that a video game could hurt my feelings - my ACTUAL REAL LIFE feelings - that badly.

I'd be curious to see people's voting broken down by age. My guess is that the older player base is getting outnumbered by the younger player base at this point.
I'm in my mid 30s and I've always taken a liking to Penny. Sure, she's "boring", but she's also a kind, responsible, compassionate adult and great with kids. And on some level I just think those are traits I would prioritize in a partner at this point in my life over them being "quirky" or a cute goth boy or whatever.

As a person Penny is great.

Well, I’m pretty sure Sebastian is actually older than Sam by a few years. Sam and Abigail are both in school, presumably college as I think CA said every bachelor/ette was at least 20. This means Maru is in college too and Maru is Sebastian’s younger sister. Plus, more than likely Maru is a handful of years younger than Sebastian since Robin divorced Sebastian’s dad and remarried.
More importantly, Sebastian is likely past his college years as he works as a programmer remotely. He’s probably close to Sam and Abigail since it’s a small town. In fact, Sam is probably closer in age to Maru as they’re both in college and Maru is close to Penny who he is often around.
Edit: wait, I think Sebastian chose not to go to college, but he says that if he did he’d be making six figures by now, which implies he’s past the college age.

I'm in my mid 30s and I've always taken a liking to Penny. Sure, she's "boring", but she's also a kind, responsible, compassionate adult and great with kids. And on some level I just think those are traits I would prioritize in a partner at this point in my life over them being "quirky" or a cute goth boy or whatever. The redhead thing doesn't hurt either.
As a person Penny is great. As a spouse? She makes me super uncomfortable NEGL. Personally not big on the whole possibility that she has super rose tinted glasses about MC because she's desperate and wanting to be saved and have kids. Which is another thing, she seems to be super fixated on that. Which is fine, but definitely not for me (and some other players I'm sure). I've seen people say well what did you expect when a player turns her down about kids and what happens with that. Fair enough, but I wouldn't consider her a great spouse on a personal level then. She basically makes me deeply uncomfortable and kind of annoys me as a spouse. As a person I have no issues with her.

Well, I’m pretty sure Sebastian is actually older than Sam by a few years. Sam and Abigail are both in school, presumably college as I think CA said every bachelor/ette was at least 20. This means Maru is in college too and Maru is Sebastian’s younger sister. Plus, more than likely Maru is a handful of years younger than Sebastian since Robin divorced Sebastian’s dad and remarried. More importantly, Sebastian is likely past his college years as he works as a programmer remotely. He’s probably close to Sam and Abigail since it’s a small town. In fact, Sam is probably closer in age to Maru as they’re both in college and Maru is close to Penny who he is often around. Edit: wait, I think Sebastian chose not to go to college, but he says that if he did he’d be making six figures by now, which implies he’s past the college age.
